“What are you guys doing here?” mama Naura's voice in the doorway shifted their gaze. Both of them seemed surprised by the sudden arrival of Naura's mother. Alex quickly stuffed the test pack into his pants pocket. And Seira put the test pack in her back pocket.

Everyone had gathered at the dinner table except Alex who had told Papa Sean that he was in Bandung for business. Seira looked at the door as if hoping someone would come inside. Bryan realized that.

“Sister Alex hasn't come home pa?” bryan asked as if he knew his brother's anxiety. Hearing Bryan's question averted both of Seira's eyes to look at Papa Sean.

“He didn't come home today or maybe the next few days.” said papa Sean.

“Not home?” repeated Seira who wants to know more reasons her brother did not come home.

“Alex says he has business dealings in Bandung.” Seira seemed silent. The taste for dinner has disappeared.

“Kak why is that?” ask Emily who saw Seira just stirring food without a mouthful she put in her mouth. Everyone at the dining table looked at Seira.

“Ehm, Seira is just not tasteful.”

“Why dear? Are you sick?” ask mom with a little worry. Because lately Seira is more often silent in the room.
