My Adult Man's

My Adult Man's
Stay Together

The lightning bolts that were sailed with heavy rain that poured all over the city, now made the whole body of Handini froze in fear. The woman could only remain silent with her legs bent and her unrelenting mouth uttered a protective sentence in a soft, almost inaudible tone. The gripping situation is only he who feels in the house.

The husband had left the house about an hour ago on the grounds that there was a brief affair outside. No matter what, his wife doesn't know.

Handini did not cry, even though she was very frightened. Farhan's gift doll, she grabbed and hugged him tightly. Feeling calm while hugging the doll. Channeling a warm and serene feeling.

Although it is still at 11 noon, but it feels like night because the sky is so dark because of the rain. Even before her husband left, the sunlight was still visible and there was no sign of rain.

---

The clock on his wrist kept moving. Wasting free time just waiting for someone you don't want.

The quiet atmosphere created in this cafe adds to the saturation that he had felt earlier. Only accompanied by a cup of coffee flavored capuccino, which is now no longer reflecting hot steam.

The cafe door opens. The familiar man in both eyes now walked up to him. He sat his body right in front of him. Giving a smile to him that he thought was just a trick.

"Sorry I'm late, the streets are very pa- "

The man had not finished speaking yet but Farhan interrupted him immediately.

"No need to make small talk, I give you 10 minutes to talk"

Farhan threw away his face, no hospitality on his face. He wants to end this meeting immediately.

Farhan's 10-minute time was not enough for the man to speak. Farhan patiently waited until the man finished talking until it did not feel the sky was getting cloudy.

When they felt the conversation was over, Farhan without saying goodbye immediately stepped out of the cafe.

---

The sound of a car engine stopping in front of the house makes Handini immediately walk out. He smiled when he saw someone he was waiting for coming home too.

Her husband's shirt looks a little wet on the top. Handini ran to get a towel and told her to change clothes.

Her eyes were unceasingly looking at her husband who was currently putting on a face like a person who was out of anger.

Handini wasn't brave enough to ask where her husband had gone. Too awkward to ask. But he was also curious.

"Mas.. " Farhan turned with an unpredictable look on his face, causing Handini to instantly freeze over the expression of her husband. No answer was given from her husband's lips only his forehead was raised up.

Handini was silent for a while, trying to string the right words together. But Farhan chose to leave him alone in the room. The man came out of the room and didn't know where he was going.

The sound of television was heard in her ear, she quickly concluded that her husband was there. The heavy rain had just stopped and now only a small drizzle remained.

Handini's steps now towards the kitchen, she will make a warm drink for her husband. She did not feel the pain of indifference that her husband had done. Handini understood very well that her husband was now in a bad mood.

"Din "Handini was surprised his name was suddenly called. Though he was trying to rearrange the word to melt the atmosphere.

"Yes" he answered quickly as if this was a very rare conversation. Handini tried to smile even though she was not reciprocated.

"When you're in college, study hard. I'm not going to sue you for anything, there's no need for you to serve all my needs at all times. I'll find a maid for this house, you can be free to study without being burdened with home affairs."

Her husband's words are nothing wrong, even very beneficial to the wife is not it?

But Handini was arrested as if her husband was not happy about what he had been doing all this time. With eyes that almost reddened, Handini ventured to look at her husband.

"Mas doesn't like what I've been doing all this time? Is there anything less? " he finished his question, afraid that his tears would escape.

Farhan frowned in wonder. What does that wife mean.

"I just wanted to find a maid for this house, because later-" her words paused for a moment, her eyes staring in every direction. "My aunt and cousin will be staying here next week, I can't let you get tired by yourself"

Handini fell silent, she failed to digest what her husband had just said. Maybe they'll stay together?

"I can't let my aunt stay alone, she's sick, I have to bring her here so I can take care of her, you don't mind, do you?"

Handini nodded. Not a matter of objection, but she who only lives with her husband alone, sometimes still feel awkward especially coupled with the presence of other family members of her husband.
