CPTR X: THANK YOU

Vino stopped his car right at Hilda's little house. He loosened his collar and unbuttoned the uppermost for the air gap.

While waiting, Vino again checks the incoming message from Raika who says that Hilda knows about herself who has been secretly helping.

Vino did not reply to the message. He still did not think how it was possible for Raika and Aulia to tell Hilda about this.

Vino let out a heavy sigh and then got out of the car. At the same time Hilda also came out from outside her house. The two exchanged glances for a moment and Hilda gave a painful bitter smile.

Vino knew very well that deceitful smile.

"Hi, have you eaten?" ask Hilda.

Vino nodded.

"You want me to go to the front-floor?"

"Can."

"If we walk, can we?"

"OK."

So Vino quickly followed Hilda's footsteps to the exit of the complex that he had just passed.

The two travel side by side while silencing each other. Hilda continued to look at the night sky that was so desolate.

Without stars, without moon. The only lighting is just a flickering street light accompanied by a night firefly.

Vino who already knew what Hilda was about to talk about decided to remain silent and continue waiting for Hilda to open their conversation.

The wind blew that night. Hilda hugged her body with both hands, trying to glue the already very small dark blue cardigan together.

The thin clothes eventually made him cold. In the end Hilda sneezed and made Vino glance at her.

Hilda hastily brushed her nose but suddenly Vino hung her leather jacket on both of Hilda's shoulders.

Hilda was about to retaliate but Vino quickly got ahead.

"Hold. I'm a fix."

Hilda looked at Vino for a moment then gave a small nod.

It was Vino's nature that always made it difficult to resist. This man has always seemed stiff and cold.

But he never hesitated to show his true nature in front of his friends. Hilda had always been comfortable near this man. The same feeling he had with Maya and Rosa.

Hilda sighed then ventured to tell a story.

"Lo know, papa I'm actually not a very bad-bad person." Hilda looked at Vino and smiled.

Hilda continued, "Although she owed me a debt here and there, getting drunk often and coming home late at night, she never hit the three of us at all and I'm really grateful."

Vino gave a small nod and waited for Hilda to continue.

"Actually when viewed from the circumstances, can not also ague salahin he became so chaotic. Mama ninggalin papa pas Aulia just entered Kindergarten. Papa forced us all alone. It's only natural that he's hit hard."

"Where is your mom now?"

"The same new family. New kid. Also her new, more established husband." Hilda took a deep breath and continued. "Mama indeed from the beginning can not stand the conditions of life that are all mediocre so yes.... That's it."

Hilda chuckled as she tried to comfort herself. "Therefore I really respect papa. He's a tough guy. He's not a great guy who knows how to make money, but he's never angry with the three of us and that's enough."

Vino continued to watch Hilda's face turn red again.

Hilda let out a heavy sigh, her nose quickly felt blocked.

"Gue knew his intentions were helping. But that can't be it, Vin."

Vino still remained silent not retaliating.

"That's my father's debt, you shouldn't be an outsider like you're responsible for that much. So then.... I'm going to give you all your money. I'm sorry Vin has taken care of it."

Hearing that all of a sudden Vino stopped his footsteps. His eyes looked straight at Hilda who quickly turned to realize that Vino was stopping behind her.

Vino looked around for a moment, then stared intently at Hilda.

Hilda could quickly feel the changing atmosphere slowly heating up. The glare of Vino's sharp eyes made him limp for a moment.

"How long have we been friends?"

"And you still doubt me?"

"Pe-Not so!"

"Then accept my help and don't take it! What's wrong with me helping you?"

Hilda fell silent. Hilda quickly lowered her head and clenched her hands. Hilda was used to harboring her feelings and letting the thoughts of others dominate her.

But this time he couldn't take it anymore. The gripping feeling that haunted him the longer it made him anxious.

In front of Vino who was so hard, Hilda could no longer hold back her emotions any longer.

However Hilda hurriedly sighed, giving off a hint of bad aura from the exhaled air.

Hilda said, "Gue will be turning in your money."

"Tsk, this one kid, I've said—"

"I'm not good, Vin!" jerrit Hilda's.

Vino slightly flinched with Hilda who suddenly raised her voice.

Hilda looked at Vino fixedly and then continued to say as tears began to pour out, "Gue doesn't like to owe that much to people.... I always find it hard to sleep at night. Because of my debt I can never be like other girls who spend their salary to buy new clothes, new shoes, you think I don't want it all? Just because I always wear the same stuff every year doesn't mean I don't want Vin!"

Hilda took in her bawling breath. While painstakingly wiping away the tears, Hilda kept turning her brain thinking about her next move.

Talking this way made his heart a little more relieved. But still he had to think about how to return Vino's money.

In the middle of it all of a sudden Vino raised his hand and placed it right at the top of Hilda's head. Vino gently rubbed Hilda's head and smiled showing a row of white teeth.

"From the beginning why are you always so stubborn?" ask Vino.

Hilda did not reply and was still busy wiping away her tears.

"Lo seriously want to pay back your debts to me?"

Hilda nodded without a sound.

"Then turn back if you already have money."

"Huh? Meanin?"

"Just go back if you've gathered all."

"Can't be prickly?"

"No."

Hilda frowned. From Vino's reaction, he knew that Vino was planning something else.

"Don't think that strange." Vino gave a small laugh and continued, "From now on you don't have to feel that objection."

Hilda fell silent.

"okay?" Vino.

Hilda nodded small.

Vino snorted then walked past Hilda. Hilda herself hurriedly followed behind Vino. Hilda kept looking at Vino's wide back.

The only man who always protects her and helps her when she needs a place to lean. Hilda had never thought of how to repay all of Vino's kindness.

"Vin, thank you."

"It's just relaxing."

The two continued on until they reached the main road. The two went towards the supermarket and picked up some items at random.

In the middle of it all, Hilda's coworker named Toni who was outside the supermarket looked at the two in silence.

The two seem so compatible together.
