“You're ready yet Man?” kiki asked warily.
“Already, just one moment he had fallen into this hole. Ahahah” replied Kiki laughing loudly.
“Sttzz, soften your voice or anyone sees us!”
They devise a plan when Bondan is asleep. Right at the border of the forbidden forest they set a trap. The shrieking sound made them run occasionally looking back ensuring the figure did not follow. Man's feet were stuck in a fallen tree trunk, the skin torn in forced to stand up and run back.
“Woy Ki! Wait for me!” yell Man.
“Haahh, human blood” sounds Rambe with a snort licking the rest of Man's blood.
They stopped right in front of the siskamling post. The people who were looking only glanced at the displeased face. In their minds, each of them will ask for tax money and act arbitrarily on behalf of the Bondan intelligence. Everyone was silent until Man opened his voice.
“Hey guys, help me treat this wound! hurry!” says Man.
“Then quickly make us two cups of hot coffee. Huhh!” kiki said with her breath still wheezing.
People stared at each other, they were forced to comply with the request of the two young men who had no manners.
...----------------...
“Herman! My boy! Let's go home” said Aaron shed tears.
He had been looking for his favorite child for days. But Herman held her mother's hand and said she couldn't go back without her friends. Harunpun complied with his request to bring all his friends home.
“Not all bu, Gama disappeared” said Herman.
“What happened to him? That's why I've been listening. Thankfully, it wasn't you who disappeared! Are you happy to have your mother die when you hear bad news about you?”
“I'm sorry bu” replied Herman quietly.
They waited at the edge of the forest with Denis while two other body guards picked up at the guide by Mr. Babat. The day was dark, strange sounds began to appear, Ms. Aaron who looked traumatized by the region immediately pulled out a black parcel. He asked Herman not to let go of the thing until they got to town.
“I've got something similar like this from the buyer bu” said Herman.
“Weave got mom only.”
Mr. Babat was fond of finding the rest of his friends, but it seemed Beben was still hesitant to come home. He stood up like a statue looking back. There was one friend left in that place.
“Ben, let's hurry! We don't have much time” invites Arya.
“Pak Babat, we say thank you” said Sandika.
“I'm going home. You guys be careful on the road and do not forget to follow the directions I have told” Babat said.
“Pak Babat wait a minute” call Aaron.
“Sorry mom, I can't take it. The late Mbah Baron has given me the mandate to help them” said Mr. Babat.
Ms. Aaron smiled, the nice guy made her walk in, took another brown envelope and her business card. He put it in Babat's left hand while the other brown envelope was still in his right hand.
“Because of the sincerity and kindness of my father to them especially my son Herman, then accept all this as my thanks. If you refuse it then I will be very angry” said Aaron.
“Thank you non, thank you very much” said Mr. Babat.
After a long debate to persuade Beben, they finally went home. The journey to the city takes hours. Along the way they smell the fishy aroma mixed with frankincense.
“Ben, did you smell something?” ask Arya.
“Yes I also” said Beben.
“We have done’a only in the heart” said Sandika.
Arya, herman and Aaron's mom seem to have fallen asleep. Along the way, they heard a strange, earthy voice. The longer the sound is clearly heard, so does Mr. Denis make him not focus on driving. He accidentally hit a child crossing the street. The forest road route that had not yet reached the city stopped.
“What's up sir?” ask Aaron.
“Sorry mom, I accidentally hit a little boy” Denis said.
They all got out of the car to see the boy. But they did not find the boy, not even though the blood had collided. Herman saw another figure flying towards the trees, he walked up to the tree then uttered a short surah in his heart. The sight of a little boy wearing a black colored dress giggled at him. Behind the incarnate figure was none other than Gumamtong.
He doesn't usually bother street-travelers. This rare event was witnessed by Murga who monitored from a distance. He prepared to block Gumamtong if he did anything bad to Sandika. Car engine that can not turn on, crowded strange noise disturbing. Aaron opens the phone screen to call his members to change cars but the signal is cut off.
“Bu, we'll walk. Isn't that the way to town up ahead? Later I will carry mom” said Herman.
“No! You don't joke in the middle of a difficult situation like this!”
Murga could not help them, she flew further away as she sensed Sandika was unceasingly saying a short verse to Gumamtong. Aaron took the amulet from Herman's hand and threw it in the street. As soon as the engine started, they all got back in the car. Inside there is still left, Sandika who is seen standing facing one of the trees.
“San, what are you doing?” ask Arya.
“I was reading do’a, the figure we hit earlier seemed to want to disturb following us” replied Sandika.
“Don't scare me! We'll just go home.”
Along the unsettled journey feel a disturbance and apparition. Until they enter the city. It was as if all the distractions had suddenly disappeared. Happy faces adorned Aaron's mom and others. He asked Mr. Denis to stop at the centre. The car is parked on the second floor, they are waiting for Aaron to shop. There were two body guards at the back as well as Herman following beside him.
“Why don't we just go home bu?” ask Herman.
“Your friends must be thirsty and hungry, especially if you want to buy Sandika some food needs. He's a country boy, don't you mind?” ask Aaron.
Originally the cold-hearted and arrogant man never felt the concern of life. Many things he learned from life in the village. Herman shook his head, he agreed with his mother. After shopping, Aaron handed out each of the plastic bags containing food and drinks. They were taken one by one to each other's homes.
