He struggled to be released immediately but the witches could not release him because Aldert's body was badly injured, if he was reckless and forced himself to kill his sea monster then this would make his life drift in vain.

“No sir! You won't let us go. If you end up here, who will take care of Miss Scarlesia? Young Master Carlen has sacrificed himself so you can run away from here. If you end up the same as your sister, how do we face Miss Scarlesia and Her Royal Highness the Duke?”
