Flashback to Zenon and Sia

“ARRRGHHHH”

Scarlesia shouted as she felt the hand of the real soul touch her neck. But now she has woken up from her nightmare. Scarlesia touched her aching head from waking up suddenly like this. Then he turned to the window which turned out the sky was still dark and the dawn had not yet come.

“Uhh shit! Why do I have nightmares when I fall asleep? Just bother me!” upset ass.

Scarlesia tried to go back to sleep, but her eyes were hard to close. Finally, Scarlesia opened her bedroom window wide to breathe in the soothing night air.

“Why does it feel like my life is getting more complicated?” muttered.

“SIA!”

Zenon who was at the bottom called out to Scarlesia while waving his hands.

“Zenon! Why haven't you slept?” ask Scarlesia.

“I can't sleep, did you just wake up?” ask Zenon back.

“Iya, I just woke up,”

Then Zenon jumped right into the window Scarlesia was standing.

“Sia, will you take a walk with me?

“West-way?”

“Yes, I'll take you flying and take you somewhere,”

Scarlesia agreed with Zenon's invitation to take her for a walk together. Zenon was holding Scarlesia, he was amazed to see the night atmosphere in the Roosevelt Empire that he witnessed from above. Finally, after a few minutes of flying they landed on a small hill that was located quite far from the imperial capital.

“Woahh I can clearly see the stars,” point Scarlesia towards the sky.

“Isn't it great here to watch the stars live?”

Scarlesia nodded cheerfully, she immediately poured down her body facing the beautiful sky strewn with stars.

“It's been a long time that I didn't enjoy the night sky,” Scarlesia said.

“You can tell me anytime you want to enjoy the night sky. I will take you whenever and wherever it is,” Zenon said along with her body next to Scarlesia.

“Is that so?”

“Yes, as long as it makes you happy, I will,” replied Zenon.

Scarlesia smiled at Zenon's reply, refocusing her gaze toward the starry sky. He tried to close his eyes to enjoy the night breeze and in the end he fell asleep. Zenon, realizing that Scarlesia was asleep, brought her closer to Scarlesia.

“You're so pretty that you're asleep like this, the reason why I can't fall asleep is because today is the date I lost you 183 years ago. The little girl who first came to me and saved me from the loneliness that was suffocating me. I've been waiting for you for 183 years and I feel happy when you come back to see me,”

186 Years ago, 3 years before Zenon lost Scarlesia. They meet in a remote forest in Luc State, a small, predominantly merchant country. In the middle of a hot summer, a little girl enters the cave where Zenon sleeps in his dragon form.

“WOAHH NAGA!” said the little girl with sparkling eyes.

Zenon opened his eyes and found the little girl staring at him.

“Who are you? Why are you here?” ask Zenon.

“Hello dragon lord! I'm Sia. I accidentally entered this cave, are you disturbed because of my presence?”

“Why isn't this kid afraid of me? Normally the humans I meet would be scared of me,” Zenon thought.

“No. I don't feel bothered,” said Zenon in a sniffy tone.

“Thank God then. Do you live in this cave?”

Zenon only responded to Sia coldly but Sia continued to invite him to speak and ignored his cold response. Even so, Zenon did not feel the slightest annoyance at him and considered his presence insignificant.

Zenon thought that Sia would not come again after that day, but it turned out that Sia always came every day to visit him and bring him various kinds of food every day.

“Do you have nothing else to do but visit me? This is a remote forest, do you not-don't live in this forest alone?” said Zenon who finally asked out of curiosity.

“Yes, I ran away from home after my parents tried to sell me to an old man to pay off my brother's debt,” he replied with a big smile.

“Sell you? Shouldn't parents love their children? But why..”.

“In this world not all parents are good, I am used to living in a family that does not love me. They beat me up, forced me to work, never fed me properly and this is what makes my body smaller than a woman my age.

“How old are you?”

“16 years,”

“I thought you were 11 years old,”

“Yes, I had expected the dragon lord to speak like that to me because this is not the first time I have heard of it,” he said, again smiling.

Zenon was surprised by Sia, although her life experience was bitter but she never forgot to smile. Her pretty face and angel-like heart, that made Zenon comfortable to be around.

“Are you not afraid of me?”

Sia chuckled as soon as she heard the question from Zenon.

“No, I think you're a dragon who needs friends. Don't you feel lonely because you've been living alone all this time? That's why I will accompany you dragon lord until you leave this place and fly to another place,”

Zenon was silent, he never even thought that he felt lonely. All this time he never paid attention to it but today Sia said directly to him, without realizing she did feel lonely because she had to live life alone.

“I'm not lonely,” refute Zenon.

“You lied! I can read from both your eyes if you have been lonely,” strong Sia.

“Haha it looks like I can't fight you talking any further,”

Since that day Zenon began to open his heart to Sia, he was never again angry because Sia interrupted his sleep, he never again acted coldly to Sia. Until finally, Zenon appeared before Sia in her human form.

“Who are you?” sia asked Zenon who came to her house.

“I-i-this is my usual dragon,”

Zenon answered him while blushing in shame and turned his face away from Scarlesia.

“Haahh? HEEEEEEEE,” Sia squealed as she did not expect that the handsome man before her was now the dragon she used to meet.

“Don't be surprised so. This is my human form so from now on please don't call me ‘lord naga’ but call me Zenon. You understand?”

“Zenon yes? Alright Zenon,”

After that, Sia invited Zenon to stay with her because she was alone in living in this small enough house, Zenon also agreed to Sia's invitation.

It does not feel that 3 years Zenon and Sia live together, now he is 19 years old. The little girl had grown into a beautiful girl. Many sweet and happy moments that they live together until without them knowing it, grow feelings of love in their hearts. But, none of them dared to express their feelings first.

“I've picked this many red roses because I can no longer procrastinate to express my feelings. Today I will tell Sia about my true feelings,” said Zenon who had just returned from the outside.
