Rendra enjoyed his sleep in peace, even if it was only a few minutes. Azan Magrib. And, her father was allowed to go home by the controlling doctor. Obviously, the man was happy. No need to go to this creepy place anymore.
"Don't laze. You can miss out on a career." Adib–Kakak Kandung Rendra–trying to remind his sister. "You chose this path, so be serious."
The two men came out of the hospital VIP room, about to perform Magrib prayers before finally returning home.
Rendra himself acted as he wished. Sometimes he would say hello to some female nurses they met in the hallway.
"So your attitude! It's not at home." Adib is a little upset. This rendra is sometimes unruly. The original character is complicated and free. The man in the black suit walked faster towards the elevator. The hallway is quite quiet and not much passes except for the patient's family and the hospital. It was obvious because this sixth floor was a row of elite rooms inhabited by businessmen only.
Rendra felt less free when he was next to Adib. Perhaps because their character is inversely proportional. Adib is very disciplined and always does it perfectly, while Rendra himself does whatever he wants. Fortunately, their parents are quite patient, broad-hearted and do not compare children with each other.
They're getting into the elevator. Both of them, come down quietly. Adib observed the figure of his sister from the side, lately Rendra as if hiding something. I don't know what it is. To be sure, there was something unknown to him. "You have some good news?" Not afraid to ask.
Rendra turned to the side, while Adib was straight ahead. "Good news?" The man asked back.
"Your face shows that" replied Adib.
The elevator goes down without waiting for anyone else, as if to be a picture of a world that will never wait for us. Whether we are sad or far behind.
"Ah." Rendra understands. Just act normal. "I have a new project."
Adib took a quick glance. "You're making another story? This is not finished!" Adib immediately railed against Rendra with a few sentences. It's no wonder.
Rendra laughed loudly. "Sister, it doesn't need that much detail to ask. It's funny." Shaking head.
Adib who was educated perfectly and grew into a person who was a little stiff felt being underestimated. "You're talking to your brother, Rendra!" Angry too.
"Yes, sorry." Rendra did not want this trivial problem to be prolonged. "It's not about the novel. I'm not a writer with a lot of brains. Just finishing one story, I need a long time."
The elevator takes them to the ground floor. Adib and Rendra came out, turned to the right corridor. Walk with people who may have similar goals.
"Then?" Adib. Compared to his parents, Adib is closer to Rendra. Maybe it's because Rendra can open up a little with him, not to their parents. "What project do you mean?"
"Actually this project is impromptu alias there is no list in my annual schedule. But, this is more interesting." Rendra tried to explain a little of the plot. "Sister, there's no need to worry because I can't possibly sign a contract with any publisher. Brother himself knows that I'm a contract writer at Brother's publisher."
Adib breathed a rough sigh. The man in black suit does have a book publishing company and also a special editor Rendra. "That's not the problem." Adib doesn't bother about that. Sure if Rendra already understands the consequences of that. "We are family."
"Then?" This time, Rendra asked. The two continued to walk down the hospital hallway that connects to the mushola.
"If there's a big project and you can't cope, you better tell a story." Adib paused his words for a moment. Keeps distance from each other to remain stable. "You're good or bad, you can share with him the name of the family."
Here Adib learns from the past. Maybe not entirely his fault, but as a first child. Adib is still responsible.
Rendra's reaction was normal, relaxed. Nothing needs to be discussed so seriously, because the project is not pulling too big of itself. "This project is called a secret. I can't reveal it yet, because I can handle myself. You better focus on the love life. Age is three heads, but still alone. How can Mom and Dad carry a grandchild?" Rendra chuckled amusedly.
Adib was not angry in the least, it was common. The first child and a man must be mentally as strong as steel. Let alone a small drizzle, rainstorms should still be enjoyed until it is finished. "That's a problem later."
"Until when? Many women are waiting in line, but Brother chose to close himself. Not so big on his name!" Rendra always mocked the Brother with a small joke, it was because he knew the nature of his brother who was patient. "Same mother Daddy's getting older, they're also willing to take grandchildren from Big Brother."
"You go first." Adib glanced at the right. Small smile. "Give a grandson to Mom and Dad."
Rendra's laughter broke again, some people even noticed them. The two arrived in front of the mosque, it was already full. "I still want to be alone. I was young. So, better enjoy some time first."
Adib sat on the terrace of the mosque about to take off his shoes, raised his head. Staring Rendra. "Your freedom is not to be outrageous. Brother, you've given me a second chance. Mom and Dad too. Do you want to disappoint us again?"
Adib's question was quite heart-piercing. Rendra could understand that. The concerns of every family must be there, it's just different. Lucky Rendra has the figure of a brother who is fairly perfect. The young man sat down next to Adib, and said, "Don't talk about it again. I told you I wouldn't touch that again."
Adib glanced, both shoes successfully removed. "Hopefully, because sometimes humans are hard to believe. This applies not to you, but to everyone. Including the big brother."
Rendra smiled a small smile. Looking to the side, meet the view with Adib. "Does that mean you don't trust me?"
Adib stands. Loosen the tie, just tie it strong enough. "We believe in everyone, but just in case it is better. Do not hoard a lot of trust in humans because we can be the cause of disappointment." Adib stepped first towards the place of wudu.
Rendra silence. From behind the glass, he saw a figure who was performing prayers. That figure is foreign again. "He's still here. Could you meet again?"
