155. Marriage is unusual

"Sir Pongki!"

Pongki got up from his seat and looked at the prison warden who called out to him.

"I sir" said Pongki.

"Follow me, someone's visiting."

"Yes sir" said Pongki again. Then, he tidied up his clothes and hair that looked shabby and stepped closer to the iron bars that were being opened by the prison warden.

After the lock was opened, Pongki stepped out and walked in the hallway of the prison block. Accompanied by one more warden, Pongki walked to the bathrooms provided in the prison.

"Don't go through there!" Prevent that warden.

"Isn't there a den?" Pongki asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"Let's come!" The warden's orders.

"Who's visiting me?" Ask Pongki.

"Have come along" said the warden, wearing handcuffs on Pongki's wrists.

The prison warden opens the door to a special room that is not usually used to visit prisoners. Pongki was shocked to see his family and the Typhoon family gathering in the room.

"What's this?" He asked with a puzzled expression.

"How are you, baby?" Berta approached and hugged Pongki tightly.

"God be kind, how are you?" Pongki asked as she looked at Berta with her haru look.

"Thank God I am well" said Berta.

Then Bella approached Pongki and hugged her daddy. Pongki reciprocated Bella's embrace by slightly tilting her body as both of her hands were in handcuffs.

"How are you, baby?" Ask Pongki.

"Thank God dad, daddy how are you?" Bella asked who held back her tears when she saw both Pongki's handcuffed hands and also Pongki's unkempt appearance.

"Daddy's fine, thank God. As you can see," Pongki tried to smile covering his wound.

"Sir" Typhoon shook Pongki after Bella.

"How are you doing, son?"

"Thank God be good" said Typhoon.

"What's up here? How can we visit together like this?' Ask Pongki.

"It's all thanks to Jeung Erna, dear" said Berta.

"Ah, ma... How are you? Sir how are you? How are you all?" Pongki asked Erna, Galang, Antok, one Ustad and two Cyclone sisters.

"Alhamdulillah good..." Follow them simultaneously.

"What's up?" Pongki was still astonished to see his crowd visiting him.

Pongki let out a long sigh, then looked at Berta and Bella. Tears began to flow down both of his cheeks.

"All right, we're starting. Who was the witness?" Ask Pongki.

"I sir" Sahut antok.

"Me too" said Thunder.

"I can too" said Galang.

Pongki rubbed his tears continuously running down his cheeks.

"Well," Pongki said.

Berta simply nodded and then released his embrace from Pongki's body. A warden was ready to take Pongki back to his cell. Only a wave of hands accompanied the farewell.

There is no message from a father, no invited guests, no food dishes and so on.

There are only a few photos taken of Pinky's cell phone, and memories etched into each of the hearts that reside there.

An unusual, yet deeply meaningful and heartwarming marriage for Bella, Berta and Pongki. If not for Erna's kindness, maybe Pongki would never have felt what it was like to marry her only child.
