Remember the promise

The sky looked cloudy, and the wind started to blow so fiercely. The rain is pouring down on the earth. Stunned Velicia looked at her ex-husband, Arnold pretended to look pitiful under the rain, explaining that she had not accompanied him for days to finish her job so she could accompany him over the phone.

Hearing what Arnold explained, making Velicia's heart soften immediately, she took painkillers, dressed up and did not forget to bring a towel for her ex-husband. Arriving at the bottom floor he immediately opened the door for the man who is now his lover.

Arnold smiled as Velicia gave her a towel, the man greeted her and rubbed her head, then sat down on the living room sofa.

 "Cia, you're always makeup when I see you, I've never seen you with a plain face without makeup" Arnold said.

Hearing what her lover Velicia said smilingly then saying, "I've continued Arista's family business when I was 14, and have gotten used to dressing up to hide myself."

"You're serious!" arnold was surprised.

Velicia nodded, a smile never fading from her lips. The two chatted, the woman forgot to make a drink for Arnold. He went to the kitchen to make tea and bring a snack for his girlfriend.

Velicia smiled as Arnold looked at her, he brought her warm tea and brownies for her lover. The man smiled looking so sincere to him. 

"Cia, how old were you when we got married?" ask Arnold

Velicia smiled, the woman sat back down, offering warm tea to Arnold, the man faithfully waiting for an answer from his ex-wife and now his girlfriend.

"My life was only twenty at that time, Ar," replied Velicia.

Arnold again surprised, it turns out he married a girl who was so young, meaning the age of his ex-wife is now twenty-three years, the times need to be spoiled.

"Ar, it's night time you should go home," said Velicia softly.

"No, I still miss!" he said he didn't like it because it was as if the woman beside him was throwing him away.

"Later you'll be last night" Velicia said.

Arnold did not reply, the man was now heading to the bathroom near the kitchen. After washing her face she sat moved to sit in the living room while turning on the television.Seeing that Velicia took a deep breath. 

"Ar, do you want to stay over?" ask Velicia.

"Yes" replied Arnold briefly.

Velicia was about to prepare a guest room for her two-month-old lover, but her steps stopped because her hand was blocked by Arnold.

"Where are you going, just sit here with me," Arnold said staring expectantly at his lover.

Velicia again sat down, next to Arnold.I don't know why the man suddenly clasped his lover's hand. Velicia's heart skipped so fast, the man's attention looking so sincere to her again made the woman lulled.

"Well what movie?" ask Arnold gently.

"Action" he answered.

The man immediately laughed at the reply from his lover, it made Velicia so fascinated because it was the first time the man laughed so loosely while with her.

Arnold rubbed his tears, he smiled again and ruffled his beloved's hair with a gurgle.

"Why do you like Action?" ask Arnold.

"Like it," he answered briefly.

Velicia was speechless, looking at the man who was looking at her as well as saying, "I used to like someone."

Hearing the reply from her lover Arnold looked unhappy and she asked, "Do I know her?"

Velicia recalled that gentle Arnold again, just like the man she liked back then. However, it felt completely different from the man beside her now.

"You don't know, I liked that guy when I was a kid" he said with a smile remembering the gentle figure first.

Had the one beside him been that figure, it would have been happiness for the rest of his short life. However, he is also happy because at the end of his life the person he loves is now at his side even though it only makes a temporary girlfriend.

If the long-lived Velicia wants her to see her ex-husband's wedding day, she wants to see the man smile happily for marrying the woman he loves.

Velicia looked at Arnold who was seriously watching the man look so handsome with disheveled hair, she loved her ex-husband for no reason, because it just grew up. From the first moment he saw his smile he was willing to change his whole world just for the sake of the man until he was diagnosed with cancer.

Velicia took her breath in that man was so resistant to watching whereas she was already so sleepy at the moment. 

"Ar, you slept in that guest room huh," Velicia said. Arnold frowned, the man shook his head. Makes the woman snort. 

"It's up to you to sleep in which guest room!" yelled Velicia upset.

"Where are you going?" ask Arnold.

"To the room, I'm tired Ar," Velicia replied.

Arnold turned off his television, he walked over holding his girlfriend's hand, but somehow Velicia didn't turn down when the man walked into his room.

"Cia, is there a t-shirt for me?" arnold asked after he finished cleaning his body.

Velicia walked towards her closet, the woman opened the closet door while her eyes looked for a t-shirt she could wear.

Arnold was still watching his ex-wife's body thin, thinking she was on a diet.

"Aren't you?" ask Arnold

Velicia closed the door and pulled out her blue t-shirt and shorts, Arnold stared at what her lover was carrying.

Arnold did not complain, but he immediately grabbed her and changed her clothes in front of his ex-wife, seeing that Velicia immediately turned her face away. Arnold smiled to see the woman was embarrassed to be seen from her discolored ears even though they were behind her.

Arnold without asking for approval from the owner of the room immediately went up to the bed, Velicia there was a fear of going up. She was afraid that the man would dare her again, Arnold who saw her lover just stood looking at her smilingly.

"Here, he said he was sleepy" Arnold said.

"Do you have to sleep in one bed?" ask Velicia.

Arnold smiled warmly, the man sat down and patted the edge of the mattress for the woman to sit there. Velicia hesitantly sat down beside Arnold. She remembered when she was the wife of the man that he would be angry if he got himself to sleep in the same bed.

Arnold gently rubbed his lover's fist, again making Velicia feel there are butterflies flying in her stomach. However, this time the gentleness obtained from the man beside her was now.

Slowly Arnold thinned the distance with his lover, he kissed the lips ranum Velicia and his hands have rubbed the back of his ex-wife. Thankfully she remembered the second condition: not to have sex, she stopped and hugged Velicia.

“How about now? You like me, right?” The soft voice whispered in Velicia's ear.
