Magical Traders
CHAPTER 18

DIAN HARTANTO finally met the apartment management where Dennis lived. After submitting the identification and proof that he paid the rent, the management agreed to Dian Hartanto's request to open Dennis's room door.

“I'm afraid something happened with him in there,” said Dian Hartanto mentioned some possibilities that could happen.

“From the parking and laundry reports, Mr. Dennis has not been seen in recent days. In fact, the car is still parked in its place,” replied the head of security accompanied Dian Hartanto.

“I've tried to contact him many times, but also not connected. Hopefully nothing happens with him.” Dian Hartanto walked into the elevator.

“Have you contacted your relatives or close friends?” ask the apartment manager while pressing the number six button.

“He is alone in Jakarta. So, as the leader where she works, I feel the need to take responsibility,” Dian Hartanto replied.

“Means Mr Dennis is an important person in the company father?” ask the manager to try to dig up more information about Dennis.

Dian Hartanto had to lie to cover up Dennis' identity. “He's director of financial planning. Much work was hampered during her disappearance.”

The manager seemed enthusiastic. “Wah, it deserves the facilities of a luxury apartment. Company dad must be very bona fide?”

“Not really. We are engaged in bitcoin trading. Sort of stock investment.”

“Sounds interesting. I have heard about bitcoin for a long time, but have not dared to invest there. If you have time, I want to visit your office sometime. Who knows, we can work together,” said the manager.

Hearing that, Dian Hartanto like getting lucky. Currently, he needs a new investor.

The sound of the elevator stopped and the door opened.

“Cabry immediately. In this week is good momentum to start investing bitcoin.”

“O, yes? Then I'll come tomorrow to your office. Approximately, how much funds are needed to get a large profit? Five to ten billion, enough?” asking the manager makes Dian Hartanto feel very lucky.

“That's more than enough,” the answer is fast. Had he not remembered wanting to see Dennis's room, he would have taken the manager to his office. That much funds could ease his current burden.

“Alright, Mr. Dian. We will continue the conversation on business. Let's check Mr. Dennis's room first now. Security will be witness to whatever we meet in later.”

“Siap.!” the head of security immediately replied.

The manager entered Dennis's spare key and soon the door opened. Cold air AC instantly ambushed their arrival.

The security chief then entered Dennis's room first. “Is there anyone inside?” he said trying to call. However, there was no voice.

Slowly they entered room by room. The manager standing behind them was silent. Her breath feels tight.

“I'm sorry can't linger. I have to go back to the room to continue the work,” said the manager in a hurry.

Dian Hartanto and the head of security turned, staring at the manager.

“You sick, Sir? Let me call people to help you,” said the head of security grabbed a handy talky tucked in his waist.

“Not necessary. I can do it myself,” reject the manager. “After completion, return the key to my room,” the command.

“Siap, carry out.”

“I go first, Mr. Dian. See you later,” said the manager waving his hand. He then stepped towards the apartment door.

Dian Hartanto drove the manager to the front door. He then went back in to check the room. However, Dian Hartanto's gaze was immediately turned toward the hambal carpet that covered the entire floor in Dennis' apartment room.

Dian Hartanto lowered his body. He touched the green liquid that felt warm and then sniffed the liquid.

“Stop gets there!” hanz orders when Layla replays the CCTV footage. It's been many times that the footage was replayed to make sure Hanz's allegations are correct.

“Large screen,” pinta Hanz. “Direct to index Dian Hartanto,”

Layla's forehead is wrinkled. “Can't, Dad. This is not like the camera in the tablets that can be zoomed in that detail.”

“I'm sure he's Alien Rustler. Their bodies are filled with green liquid and cannot last long in the AC room,” Hanz said.

“But that was the apartment manager. I met him once,” Dennis argued.

“Not. He must be an Alien. I used to make them serum to change their skin and body shape like humans.”

Dennis's surprised. “Gosh! I'm sure it's gonna get more complicated and stressful. If they can change their form like humans, then how can we distinguish them?”

“That water and as I recall, the hairs on their bodies are also easy to fall out. If we can look closely, I can prove it?”

“Dad wants to get there?” ask Layla.

“I still keep the apartment key!”

Hanz looked at them. He feels challenged, “We have to buy some equipment first to be safe,” Hanz said making plans.

Layla immediately took the note paper. He needed a small number of surveillance cameras with battery power.

The plan, he and his father will come to Dennis' apartment. Layla is in charge of installing surveillance cameras in several places as well as security.

Dennis monitored the cameras from the basement to see the suspicious movements of people.

“It looks like we also need to buy a Van type car to be like in the pills. So we do not have to always depend on this place,” suggested Layla.

“It's starting to tense. If you can buy electric shock weapons so that we can also stay alert,” Dennis suggested.

Layla and Hanz looked at each other. They laugh.

“I agree. Buy everything you think is important. Currently we have a lot of money to complete all the equipment,” said Hanz excited.

Layla cheers in excitement. He then recorded a number of grocery lists.

“What are you waiting for, Dennis? Cash the funds now!” hanz's orders saw Dennis who was still speechless.

“Can I ask for one more?”

“Why, no? We'll shop with your money, too. One, ten, just name it. Let Layla take note,” Hanz laughed.

“Kok, my money?”

Layla was impatient. He walked over to Dennis and clung to the man's shoulder. “Sweet Dennis is. Your money. You're the hacker who hacked people's bitcoins,” Layla said.

Dennis's aghast. He shook Layla's hand. “Not me. Didn't the Wranglers do it?” dennis denies not accepting Layla's allegations.

“No one believes in Aliens?” sahut Layla looked Dennis in the eye.

Dennis speechless. Layla's right. Dennis smiled as well.

“You're beautiful, Layla. I wonder who your fiance is!” dennis approached his laptop.

Layla bengong got the compliment and only realized after Hanz called her.

“Looks like you guys fit,” whispered Hanz made Layla's face red.
