Magical Traders
CHAPTER 14

Dennis's eyes still felt blurry. Neck's stiff. He looked at the ceiling of the room. When looking to the side, there is still residual pain felt in the neck and then rubbing it with one palm.

“I where?” ask Dennis in your heart. He did not see anyone in the room. There's nothing he can talk to. No one can tell him where he is.

Closing his eyes, Dennis tried to remember the last incident he experienced earlier. He could still remember the panic and Layla asked him to sleep in a stretcher bed.

Just then, he felt a loud punch hit his neck. All suddenly dark.

Until then Dennis could still remember everything. However, when he tried to remember the previous events, while holding Layla's father's arm, there were some events that made his head become very dizzy.

Dennis groans in pain. Several times he screamed when his brain felt frozen when it forced him to remember everything.

Dennis's voice shocked Layla who was in the room. He had just finished his bath and immediately rushed to tidy up his clothes and comb his hair. Layla rushed to Dennis's room.

“Dennis, aware Dennis!” Layla shakes Dennis' shoulder many times. “Try to see my eyes,” said Layla knowing what really happened with Dennis.

The effect of the injection in Dennis' body will make him more dizzy if trying to pursue a memory that has not just been erased. If it continues, Dennis's brain will be clouded and it's dangerous for Dennis himself.

He will be trapped in a maze of ignorance. His attitude and behavior will resemble that of a madman. Of course it can't happen. Layla tried to pull Dennis's eye bags and then blow him away like someone was flickering.

Dennis jerks. Layla was relieved when Dennis opened his eyes. Their faces are very close. Layla could feel Dennis breathing down her face. Irregular snorting of breath due to enduring tremendous pain in the head.

“Try to get up now,” Layla helps Dennis to sit down immediately and lean his back against the wall.

Layla was silent for a moment to think about her next action. He smiled after getting the idea.

“You remember when we first met?”

Dennis nodded his head. “While at the cafe and you are his servant.”

“What did you think back then?” layla asked deliberately to divert Dennis' mind so that the nerves in the man's head in front of him to relax again.

“Think of nothing,” says Dennis.

“Long. I remember you looking at me until you didn't blink. Yes, right?”

Dennis shook his head. “I've forgotten. Why?” ask Dennis astonished.

Layla smiles. “ Didn't expect to see you again here,” Layla replied as she continued to think about finding a way for Dennis to really feel relaxed.

“I thought yesterday it was your girlfriend?”

“You mean doctor Ambar?”

Layla just nodded. He had to carefully arrange his sentences so as not to incite Dennis in light of the strange events that befell him.

“She's a wife of people. I just wanted to show you my apartment was falling apart from the earthquake. She can't believe it, so I let her see for herself.”

Layla almost wanted to explain the earthquake Dennis felt. However, he immediately distorted their conversation.

“Nekat also you. The wife of the person is invited to the room. Old again. What if something happens!” layla said with a dikulum smile.

“That's if his mind swipes. We are ordinary. I was also busy trading at that time.”

Layla knew nothing had happened to them. All of this was seen through CCTV footage. The earthquake started and when Dennis panicked and went to his cafe while working, everything was broken and clear.

“O, yes. Doctor Ambar said you're still single. I can't believe people like you, a lot of money, live in apartments, handsome, but still single,” said Layla more want to know Dennis's status further.

“When you stop by the cafe where I work.”

“Why didn't I hear your talk?”

“He wrote on the order paper. He said you were single and asked me to deliver the order. Guaranteed not to regret. As he wrote,” replied Layla.

Dennis laughed immediately. “So because of that you want to deliver orders that day?”

“Hey...don't get your taste right. The order paper is at the cashier. So, I just read it after leaving your apartment, kok.” Layla defends herself. His face was red. His intention was just to make Dennis relaxed, just now cornered.

“You've been shampooed?” tanya Dennis smelled the scent of shampoo.

Layla was confused because the question was beyond what they were talking about. He also realized that he had not had time to dry his wet hair.

“You want to take a shower?” layla asked, feeling no need to answer Dennis' question.

If you look closely like this, you are beautiful as well as it turns out,” added Dennis who makes Layla even more blushed embarrassed.

Sontak Layla also immediately keep her distance. “Be careful when you talk. Want me to hit you in the neck again?” Layla pretends to close her fingers and is ready to hit.

“Jangannn...!” dennis was surprised to try to protect himself. He remembered the blow that made his neck hurt and could feel nothing more.

“It turns out you hit my neck?”  asked Dennis with a face of astonishment. “Why?”

Layla is confused to give an answer. “Emergency measures. So I had to do it. Sorry, yes.”

“Actually what happened earlier?” Dennis asked again. He was not satisfied with just getting that kind of answer.

“Not time to explain. Now you have to relax,” Layla said.

“So when I passed out, what did you guys do to me?” dennis's question again made Layla even more confused.

By asking questions like, Layla was worried that it would actually make Dennis remember the event back. What if his mind gets dragged back? layla thought she didn't want her efforts to go to waste.

“If it is not answered, I will look for his own year,” said Dennis immediately closed his eyes. He then enters Layla's memory lane. He could tell what they were talking about before he fainted. In fact, after that, when his neck got an injection.

Layla just remembered that Dennis has the ability to access human memory. However, it's too late.

Dennis didn't stop there. He saw all the pictures that happened. Something was missing in his memory. However, he sees it in Layla's memory. He finally knew what was really going on.

“Why should part of my memory be erased?” ask Dennis.

Layla finally can't delay anymore. “Now you know. So, no more trying to remember something that is missing in your mind. The result can be fatal,” Layla said.

“I didn't know the aliens could track me,” Dennis said.

“My father is still trying to finish his research. Does every time you enter people's minds or into a computer device also leave a trace? If that happens, then we are in danger and must immediately find a way to counter it.”

Dennis speechless. He began to understand that he was in serious trouble. He thought he could just be free to use his strange ability without consequences.

“How did your father know about all this?”

Layla smiles. “You should shower. After that we set out to take your things to the inn and the apartment. I'll tell you about the trip,” Layla said leaving Dennis in curiosity.
