Magic School's
Him Was Bad Luck

Today I am not excited to wake up in the morning. I usually wake up 5 minutes earlier, but now it's less than 3 minutes. I slept poorly last night. Yesterday's incident made me want to leave this school immediately. I got out of bed to take a shower.

"Good morning, Lia."

Unlike usual, Chely greeted me cheerfully without groggy like before.

"Morning."

"Hedro invites us to go to the camp. Will you come with us?"

"When?"

"It was supposed to be this morning, but it was pushed back to the first hour of rest."

"All right."

I went to the sauna and left Chely at the door. He who saw it was only a frown, a rare expression of Chely.

After finishing with the affairs in the sauna. I went back to the dormitory to pick up the potion that Bu Sen had assigned two days ago. The potion class is about to start and I mustn't be late. But, whatever happens I'll just pass without getting a nem.

"We'll try it on-"

The first lesson starts as usual. It's going well and it'll be great if I watch it from now on. Yesterday's incident made me lazy to take classes, even reading was reluctant. I don't know when I'll be home either. My allowance is only reduced a little for now.

"Tomorrow will start the test."

First class is finished. I didn't pay much attention to everything in great detail, but I'm sure Chely heard it very clearly. I can ask him about today's materials and tomorrow's test.

"You look pale. Why?"

"Tomorrow what tests?"

"Bu Sen said tomorrow we'll start the drug concocting test."

I've guessed. He is a good listener.

"Hi, you guys."

"Hedro."

"Want to eat or drink tea?"

"I'm not so hungry. How about some tea?"

"Can."

I casually just nodded in agreement to Chely's choice. Today it looks like Chely is very happy. I can guess that since we started getting to know Hedro. I admit he was handsome and quite 2 cm tall from me, if you think. The point is I'm proud of my height not far from him. If distinguished from Chely, the height is only 4 or 6 cm different from Hedro.

"Please sit down."

"Thank you."

I feel happy because at this time Chely said without feeling groggy as usual. He looks more cheerful and friendly. I think he's just groggy when he's close to a smart kid. Look, once he finds out I'm not a smart student, he's being very friendly to me.

"Next month we move level 2."

"Yes, I can't wait."

"What about the article?"

"It's ready."

I who did not really listen to the conversation they both just nodded in response to both.

"Lia, did you finish the article?"

"Huh?"

"Have you filled out the conclusion?"

"Oh, about that. I've finished everything. Do I need to decorate?"

"That's better for me."

"good. I decorated the article yesterday with some pictures."

"Good job, Lia."

Not knowing why, I felt a faint smile begin to form on my lips. It feels great to be working with them. I miss the old school.

"Don't be sad, Lia."

"We're going to help you become a prodigy."

"You're silly. I can't be smart if I don't work hard at learning."

Feeling annoyed by Hedro's words, I said goodbye to returning to class early. There are no written exams here. The school provides oral and practical exams only. I would rather have a written exam than a continuous practice like this. In the old school the practice exams must always be done in groups, but here individuals.

Lesson two. This time the professor who taught was Mr. Bet. We studied at Lv 1 Chemistry class for a drug concocting exercise that will be tested by Bu Sen tomorrow. The best thing is that I'm pretty good at chemistry. I used to attend the IPA Olympics in old school. I've got trophies, medals and charters. There have been many Olympics that I followed until I got the title of child professor.

Remembering my old school days made me want to go back and keep what I already had, but it was all impossible.

"...and done. Don't forget to close so that it doesn't spill."

"Like this. The color must be seen as well."

After the lesson hour was over, I immediately walked up to Chely's desk and asked for the materials beforehand. I meticulously watched and followed step by step how to concoct the medicine.

"It's like this."

"Good job, Lia."

"Horay!"

Feeling proud of my work, I quickly recorded everything in detail so as not to forget. His knowledge can also be repeated at home.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

"I'm teaching her to concoct medicine."

"Didn't he understand?"

"He was just too excited to not pay attention to the professor."

"Pfft. Hey, you guys got plans today?"

I who still pay attention to each material that has been previously mixed, do not discuss what Hedro asked.

"We don't have a plan yet."

"We're swimming, how?"

After all the materials I had recorded in detail and no one was missed, I immediately tidied up the table.

"Eh, Hedro. What are you doing here?"

"...."

"We want to!"

Suddenly Chely pulled my hand out of the chemistry class. We walked around on the 3rd floor in search of entertainment.

"Well, there it is."

Hedro pointed towards the pool and pulled us both there. I was surprised immediately the brake suddenly to cause a great collision. Fortunately, the passing disciples were not many and were too busy with their respective affairs.

"I don't want to swim."

"But, right-"

"W-how about going to the herbal shop?"

"Pfft.. boring."

"Hm, what about agriculture?"

"No way."

"Post office?"

"It's not even a place of entertainment."

Busy with each other's thoughts on choosing an entertainment venue, I looked around the 3rd floor which was quite crowded. Too many shops and some other space. I was confused where I was going at the moment.

"Hey, Hedro."

"Hey, buddy."

Suddenly someone who looked familiar to me greeted Hedro with familiarity. Of course, the boy was a troublemaker.

"What are you doing here?"

"Seeks only entertainment. Oh, meet Fisilia and Chely my study buddy."

"Eh, you."

"What?!"

"You know each other?"

Hedro's question made me nauseous. I can't possibly know him as a friend, but if the troublemaker were him.

"Cannot be. I don't know him at all."

"You think I know you?"

There was a quarrel between me and Hedro's friend.

"Hey, you! Don't fight."

"Basic sucks. Move you!"

I hit him on purpose and stomped on the portal violently to return to the dormitory. Because of him we didn't have any fun there. In fact, I was interested in the fortune teller earlier. Maybe I'm unlucky right now to forget that I'm with Chely. I hope he's not mad that I left him on the 3rd floor.

"I'm sorry, El."
