The Forbidden Book

I haven't been in school for a long time. Delu has been invisible for a long time. Is he that busy?

"Hey, Lia! Open door!"

Chely's voice shouts from outside the door. I opened it immediately.

"What's wrong?"

I saw in Chely's hand was already clutched in a big bag. Maybe someone's having a birthday today or maybe he wants to surprise someone and ask me to help him.

"Lia, help me!"

"Help for what?"

Without my permission, Chely barged in. This kid the longer, the less manners he has.

I also approached him who was sitting on my bed while opening the bag he was carrying earlier. Apparently, it is an ancient book. There seems to be something I don't know anymore.

"This is the history book of the witches. I found it in the school library. Awesome, right?"

I can't believe, behind his quiet nature, it turns out he also has a great sense of curiosity. Chely opened the book slowly. There was so much dust coming from the book.

'Please don't open if not 18+'

Me and Chely stared at each other while grimacing halis, confused.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door from outside the room. Chely immediately closed the ancient book and hid it under my bed.

"Hedro. What's up?"

"I just want to visit. All look at your duties."

"Oh, what a coincidence. Come inside!"

I pulled Hedro in. I left the door open as usual so there would be no misunderstanding.

"Oh, Chely. You're here too, aren't you?"

"Eh, Hedro. Heheh.'s a regular."

They were chatting with each other, while I was still thinking about the contents of the ancient book. And why did Chely hide it when Hedro came?

"Hey, Fis!"

A hand patted my shoulder until it came to a realization from my daydream. When I was about to turn around, I accidentally kicked the leg of the chair.

Hedro approached me to check which part was sick. On the other hand I saw a cynical look that was staring at us sharply.

"I'm doing fine. No need to worry."

We again chatted about assignments and school.Sometimes Hedro brought up Delu there, discussing his activities outside the school. I could smile in secret. I was relieved to hear that he was fine there.

"Oh yeah, Fis. I heard, your duties will be collected in about 4 days. Have you finished everything?"

I just remembered. That task should be immediately given to the principal. But I was too lazy to do it.

"That's right. Unfortunately, I haven't done everything."

"Do you need our help?"

"Eh, there's no need. It's been a hassle for you guys before."

Chely just nodded behind him. I feel very lucky to know them.

Not felt, it was getting dark. Hedro and Chely bid farewell to return to their respective dorms. After their departure, I also intend to return to struggling with books and pencils. When I was doing my job, one of the papers fell off.

When I got out of bed to pick it up, I found a book under the bed. The book is to be removed. If you remember, this is Chely's ancient book.

My curiosity can finally be satisfied tonight. I also started opening the book. As before, the message on the first page left me a little confused.

The longer I get, the more I want to know. As the next page was about to be flipped, suddenly from outside the door came the sound of footsteps. Then, the voice stopped and changed with a whisper right in front of my dorm.

"Have you found him?"

"I don't think yet. How's yours?"

"I'm still looking for him, but nowhere."

"It looks like the book was stolen by someone."

"Well, that's right. Don't-don't..."

His voice sounded vague, but the longer the sound became clearer. I became curious, could it be that the book they were referring to was this ancient book?

"Shut up!"

"Who knew he was back, right?"

They speak so seriously. About tomorrow what else is going to happen, huh?

The next day, the headmaster ordered all the students to gather on the 1st floor.

"I think today's gonna be a big party."

Chely whispered close to me, giving me some goosebumps.

"Everybody gather ! Mom wanted to ask. Have any of you borrowed a book from the library?"

"It's common, Mom."

A girl who wears a chattering bandana makes other students also make a sound.

"Mom wants to know. Have any of you ever seen or read an old history book?"

"Well, that's impossible. After all, we were more interested in magic spell books than history books. Isn't that right, guys?"

All the disciples shouted back to confirm the young man's words. Me and Chely just kept quiet. I saw that unease on his face.

"There's no way you guys don't know."

"Maybe the library's keeper was banged up, ma'am."

One of the students there. It looks like the current situation is going to get worse. I whispered to Chely.

"Hey, El. You left that book in my dorm."

"really?"

"Yes. You're really sloppy."

"I-I didn't realize it."

As we chatted together with the other students, the headmaster spoke again firmly.

"If any of you take it. But don't want to confess, just look at it later. I guarantee you you won't be able to graduate!"

All students agree with the speech of the principal with his leisure. As I glanced at Chely, he looked even more agitated. I know that because his face started to be flooded by wet sweat.

"Chelys. Just chill. Your secret is safe with me."

"Eh."

Eventually, we were disbanded. Chely chose to come with me to the dorm. In this case, he would definitely want to tell a story again.

"Physilia. How'this?"

"I don't know either. Anyway, why did you pick up the book without your excuse?"

He just plays his finger. I'm sure what he thought the same must be the same as me, curious.

"Although that's the case, you shouldn't have stolen it. You can read it in secret and tell me afterwards."

I just smiled at him, hoping that things would be okay until tomorrow.
