38. Assault

Flashbacks, flashbacks,

"What's that sound?"

Raymond awoke from his sleep, as his wife asked in a whispering voice in the ear.

Raymond stiffened his ears, and there was an unusual noise.

His heart was trembling, his feelings were immediately unpleasant. Something was wrong, and he was well aware of it.

"Darling, go to the children's room, and quickly hide."

Raymond.

"Why? What's up?"

Ask the wife.

Raymond kissed his wife.

"All will be well, go."

Raymond said, as he descended from the top of the large flower-shaped bed.

His wife came down, when then the walls of their residence sounded as if they were going to be destroyed from the outside.

"Raymond, out!!"

There's a loud noise out there.

Little Lori in her room, also woke up from sleep.

Tired of her previous day helping the mother take care of the many plants in the forest to keep them thriving, Lori finally decided to fully get up and get out of her comfortable bed.

Lori was just about to come out of the room, as from the window a pair of big eyes glared at her.

The shocked Lori let out a loud scream, her voice sounding up to her parents' second room,

"Darling, Lori..."

Raymond said to his wife and flew out of the room to Lori's room.

"I went to Lori's room, you saved Belle."

Raymond changed his orders.

And prang!!!

The sound of broken glass was heard from Lori's room,

Raymond clearly panicked more, he quickly headed towards Lori's room, opened the door and found Lori smothered by Dark Joe who was about to leave the room.

"Hey!! Fucking monster! Release my son!!"

Raymond is furious beyond measure, he darts after Dark Joe who takes Lori.

Dark Joe continues to fly away from Raymond's house, forcing Raymond to leave his wife and Belle alone there.

Ah of course, Raymond can't just let go of Lori that Dark Joe brought, he has to save his son too.

Raymond took out a bow of light from his hand, an arrow he launched, aimed towards the Dark Joe who was carrying Lori.

"To.. hmmm..to .. hmmmp..."

Lori tried to wriggle away while shouting for help.

But because his mouth was smothered, his voice did not sound clear.

A single arrow of light shot rapidly towards the Dark Joe who was carrying Lori. The arrow hits Dark Joe's back and due to the tremendous pain in his body the monster releases Lori.

Lori just crashed to the ground, fortunately there is a village of dwarves who once saw Lori will fall directly in droves to help catch her.

Seeing Lori let go, Raymond was so relieved.

But his relief did not last long, a group of old witches flew towards him.

Raymond who was so angry they had tried to harm his family immediately darted quickly to bring them into the middle of the forest far from the dwarf village.

"What do you want huh??!!"

Raymond loudly shouted furiously at the group of magicians.

The witches laughed,

"Of course we'll make you a sacrifice for the Goddess of death, hahaha..."

The old witches laughed.

Raymond clenched his hands, how dare they speak at will.

"The goddess of death would have been very pleased if our impact on him had been a Prince Raymond, hahahaha..."

Raymond did not want to waste time, he just prepared a bow and arrows of light.

In an instant, the arrow of light shot out of the bow, as soon as it shot the arrow turned into many.

The arrows scattered towards the old witches.

The old witches quickly dodged by flying on their flying broomsticks.

The broomstick flew with the jet engine sped away, far away,

"You won't be that easy to get away from me!"

Raymond blindly attacked them.

But without realizing it, another old witch attacked Raymond from behind.

The witch swung her wand, cursing the old and weak Raymond, so that it was easy then for them to catch it and throw it into the lake of death as a fall for the Goddess.

As the Fairy of Merry said, if Raymond would be very suitable to be made into a mash and it would make the Goddess of death would be willing to continue to help them and provide the power of the lake of death for the old witches.

The attack from behind by one of the old witches, made Raymond completely shocked.

He did not expect the attack to hit him.

"Sliced!!"

Raymond was furious.

But the old witch laughed.

The witch rubbed her head and looked down, where Lori was grinning and quickly flying towards the old witch.

Lori said without any fear at all.

"Lori... Don't kid, it's too dangerous..."

Raymond reminded Lori.

However, Raymond's still loud voice seemed to lure the other old witches in again.

They stormed Raymond who seemed to be trying to get up from his position.
