Chapter 28's

Our days were so fun.

We went to school together, went home together and lived a very vibrant life.

Dave and I are committed to supporting each other.

Brother Dave told me he'd always take care of me like he promised.

"Don't forget D because D is Dave. As long as there's a D in your heart, you'll be safe."

He really did.

As long as he is with me, I feel very safe and comfortable.

But, today Brother Dave looks different.

He was more silent.

The time to go home from school is the same.

Dave's brother went into a cafe.

He looks for someone who called and invites him to meet.

Someone waved his hand, Brother Dave replied to the man's hand and then sat down opposite him.

"Why do you want to talk to me here?" Ask Brother Dave.

"So morning I explained a little to you over the phone call. I'd like to ask you for an explanation of the relationship between you and your son." Answer me firmly.

Brother Dave was silent...

Silent...

"Jawab what you're asking and everything will be fine." Mother said breaking the silence.

My mom opened her bag, and she saw something coming out of it.

"Lily's diary, how did it get in your room?" Ask Mom while showing me my diary in front of Brother Dave.

Brother Dave was surprised, he didn't think that my diary was in my mother's hands.

"Sorry before, Mom, how did you know the book was in Dave's room?" Ask Dave curiously.

Brother Dave was upset, he held back his anger when he heard Daniel's name mentioned.

"Lily and I love each other." Brother Dave replied which made my mother sigh violently.

"Well, how far are you?" Ask Mom.

"Our relationship is a healthy relationship. We never do anything beyond our limits. Dave loves and respects Lily. As much as possible Dave always takes care of her." Answer Brother Dave firmly.

"Okay, I believe because Mother's child is not an easy type of woman. He will keep his love well and not tarnish it by doing things out of bounds. He is also stubborn when he loves someone. If you're the one in your child's heart, listen to this. Stay away from your children right now.!!!" Mother's Speech.

Like lightning in broad daylight.

Brother Dave felt tight in his chest.

Dave felt this was impossible.

He promised me he would get our parents' blessing.

But fate says something else, My mother first knew the truth.

"You are a man with a beautiful face and have brilliant achievements, will easily get a replacement for Lily. Oh right, I forgot that you were still in touch with Gaby too, right? How can you love your child, but on the other hand still have a relationship with another woman." Said Mom with a cynical face.

"Sorry Mom, me and Gaby don't have the relationship that I thought they had. Gaby and I are nothing more than a relationship without status. I love Mom's son so much." Answer Brother Dave.

"Oh, then. All right, if you love your son so much, stay away from him. Let Lily pursue her goal. Your status that brother and sister are really not good to have that kind of relationship. I don't want Lily to sacrifice her future and go with you." Mother's words implying deep worry.

Brother Dave sighed and exhaled slowly.

"I'm sorry Mom if loving Lily is a sin, but we're half-brothers. There's nothing wrong with that. I am very supportive of his education and his future. I'm not going to ruin his life and take him away with me. Please give me a chance to look after her, ma'am." Answer Brother Dave stubbornly.

"Mom can't let there be a special relationship between the two of you. After all, I just want the best for Lily . Hope you understand. Stay away from Lily or Mother who will take care of your school move and send you to a male-only dormitory, so you can't see each other again." Said Mom as she got out of her seat.

Brother Dave then knelt down, he begged my mother not to separate me from him.

Dave agreed with Mom.

"Rise up, don't make you such a mean person." Say Mom while helping Brother Dave stand up.

"I'll listen to Mom and stay away from Lily."

Answer Brother Dave.

"It's good that you understand what I'm saying. I hope you didn't tell Lily about our meeting." Say Mother.

"Good." Answer Mother.

"Mother go first. There's still a lot of work to be done." Mom said as she walked away leaving Brother Dave alone at the Cafe.

Brother Dave's heart is so broken.

He felt that half of his heart had been lost.

The love that he had been struggling with me, suddenly had to run aground in the middle of the road.

Really, Brother Dave became a very miserable man.

Brother Dave got up from his seat and left the Cafe with a chaotic feeling.

Brother Dave doesn't know what to behave like in front of me.

"Lily, I'm sorry if I'm just gonna be your sister. It's for your own good, it's for the love of both of us. I'm going to show Mom that Dave Winanta is the man in charge. A person who will always take care of the person he loves with affection. I hope you'll melt down and bless us both." He murmured in his heart.
