"I know every decision you make, it must be the best one" replied Rio's stepmother without hesitation, she knew her in-laws very well because since she was a child she had lived with him as her foster child.

"I've been wondering all along that you never questioned my decision. When I asked you to quit school and marry you to my son, when you were eighteen.

I know you have a lot of mind. Instead of helping you reach for it I broke it, all I did was because I didn't want another man to get ahead of my son.

So even when I asked Haris to bring Rio to me, a week after Dion died without thinking about your feelings that are still grieving." Grandma Rio said.

"At first I was hurt because my mother kept a lot of secrets, she even hid the fact from me that when my husband's life was cheating on me. He also has a child who is the same age as my son, only three months apart." Said Rio's stepmother with a slight wry smile.

rio's stepmother was not at all surprised when Rio's grandmother said, having reversed the name of all her assets on Rio's behalf, because she knew if Dion was still alive her mother-in-law would do the same.

Rio's stepmother just quietly listened, and started talking after being sure that her in-laws would not speak anymore.

"It's late, mother must be tired too. I'd better get out now so mom can rest." She said as she walked out of her grandmother Rio's room, and went to her room which was right next to her grandmother Rio's room.

Rio's envious mother was sitting on the side of the bed adjacent to the table, her hand reaching for the photo located on the table. It was a photo of her with Dion and Rini, the photo was taken after Dion and Rini were officially engaged exactly a week before Dion died.

Rini looked happy there, she stood in the middle with a position to hug mother Dion while smiling widely. Rio's stepmother stared at the photo for a moment and then started taking the photo out of her frame.

He tore off the side of Dion and left only his picture and Rini, now in the photo he looks like he is taking a picture with his daughter.

"Maybe it's better" she told herself, putting the picture on her desk and putting the part of Dion's picture in a drawer, then laying her body in a mattress, slowly but surely falling asleep.

Early in the morning Rio's stepmother looked well-groomed, she woke up earlier than usual, because she was going to go see someone today. Before leaving he walked into the kitchen to meet the waiter who was washing the dishes.
