Love Without Being Realized

In the backyard of the house under a mango tree that was bearing fruit, Rio was sitting uneasy thinking about the words or rather the orders of his grandmother who asked him to break up with Lia and marry Rini.

Still ringing in his ears and recorded clearly in his eyes, how his grandmother reacted when she saw him coming home by taking Lia with him.

"Why did you bring that girl here?!" Asked the old woman who was standing in front of the door when she saw Rio's arrival, there was no smile on her face that there was only a cold gaze.

Rio was used to that expression, an expression that his grandmother always aimed at people she disliked.

"I brought her here to introduce her to grandma." Rio replied as polite and calm as possible, even though he knew that everything would not go as he wished.

"I've known him, now tell him to go!" The old woman's order to Rio while passing into the house, while Lia was just silently staring at the departure of Rio's grandmother, Lia knew Rio's grandmother never liked her.

Because lia is just a receptionist who happens to work at one of her grandmother Rio's hotels. Rio grasped Lia's hand, he hoped that what he did could give Lia strength and strengthen her heart, that nothing would happen to the relationship.

"I'll take you home" Rio said after staring at Lia for a long time, Lia did not reply just shaking her head in disapproval and then left Rio.

Rio tried to follow Lia but Lia asked him to stop following her.

"I want to be alone Rio," he said in a slightly raucous voice.

"Please leave me alone." He said again before taking a taxi and a taxi went away Rio who was still standing glued to his back to the fence of his house.

He stood there for a long time until he decided to go in and ask his grandmother.

Why was her grandmother being rude to Lia?" There were quite a number of statements in his head that he wanted to ask.

Rio entered the house in a hurry, while Rio's grandmother was sitting in the guest room reading a magazine, her grandmother knew now Rio would demand an answer from her.

"The girl's gone?" Grandma Rio asked when she realized Rio's arrival, the old woman's face looked warm like never before even though her eyes continued to stare at the magazine in her hands.

"Why doesn't grandma like Lia?" Rio asked as he walked over to his grandmother, now he was standing right in front of his grandmother.

"He doesn't deserve you." Her grandmother replied without looking at Rio, her hands kept flipping through every magazine she was reading.

"Maybe my grandmother thinks she doesn't deserve me, but to me she deserves me and I love her." Said Rio steadily.

"Decide on her right now and marry Rini. Only Rini deserves to be the daughter-in-law of this house." Grandma Rio said once again with great emphasis.

"But Grandma, I love Lia and Rini is just my friend." Clearly Rio with a face of disbelief, how could the grandmother ask him to marry Rini Dion's former fiance, if Dion was still alive maybe Rini was already his wife now.

"No need to argue anymore, forced or not you will still marry Rini." Said Rio's grandmother while putting down her magazine.

Of course Rio could not accept her grandmother's words and passed away just like that, leaving the grandmother who was still waiting for an agreed answer from her.

"Based on the rancid boy, he doesn't even know his own heart." Rio's grandmother muttered when she saw Rio's departure.
