"Priority of the greeting 'assalamu'alaikum warohmatulohi wabarakatuh' This is a greeting between Muslims one and another when meeting.

Allah SWT says in Surat An-Nur verse 27 which means, "O you who believe! Do not enter a house that is not your home before asking for permission and greeting its inhabitants.

The primacy of greeting is also narrated in a hadith with the degree of Muttafaq 'alaih from Abdullah bin Amr bin al-Ash,

"That a man asked the Prophet, 'What is the best Islam?' He answered, 'You feed, and say hello to those you know and those you do not know."

Imam an-Nawawi in the Book of Riyadhus Shalihin in the Chapter of Salam explained that people are encouraged to give greetings by saying:

Assalamu'alaikum warohmatulohi wabarakatuh

It means: "May salvation, the mercy of Allah, and His blessings be upon you."

According to Imam an-Nawawi, the sentence was pronounced using plural form. Even though the one who was given greetings was only one person.

While in the book of Al-Adzkar, Imam an-Nawawi said there are 3 types of greetings that can be used as a greeting or prayer for fellow Muslims.

Assalamu'alaikum means May Salvation be for you.

2. Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullah means May Allah bestow His Salvation and Mercy on you/May Allah's salvation and mercy be upon you.

Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Jabarakatuh means may Allah bestow salvation, Mercy and Blessing upon you.or May the salvation and mercy of Allah and its blessings be upon you/you.

Wa'alaikumus Salam Warahmatullahi Westarakatuh

It means: "So shall the salvation, the mercy of Allah, and His blessings be upon you."

Adab said hello

Narrated from Abu Hurairah in a hadith with the degree of Muttafaq 'alaih, Rasulullah SAW said:

"The young salute the old. Who walk to the sitting, who little to the more."

In the hadith of al-Bukhari, the Prophet said:

"And the little ones say hello to the bigger ones."
