وَلَا تَنْكِحُوا مَا نَكَحَ آَبَاؤُكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَمَقْتًا وَسَاءَ سَبِيلًا (22) حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ وَعَمَّاتُكُمْ وَخَالَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ الْأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ الْأُخْتِ وَأُمَّهَاتُكُمُ اللَّاتِي أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَأُمَّهَاتُ نِسَائِكُمْ وَرَبَائِبُكُمُ اللَّاتِي فِي حُجُورِكُمْ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمُ اللَّاتِي دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَحَلَائِلُ أَبْنَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلَابِكُمْ وَأَنْ تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الْأُخْتَيْنِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا (23) وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ مَا وَرَاءَ ذَلِكُمْ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ

“And do not control the women whom your father has married, except in the past. Verily, it is as abominable and abhorrent as Allah and as bad as the road (which is taken). Be forbidden to you (married) your mothers; your daughters; your sisters, your sisters, your fathers sisters; your mothers sisters; your mothers sisters; your mothers sisters; and; daughters of your brothers; daughters of your sisters; mothers of your sisters; mothers who breastfeed you; sisters of the couple; mothers of your wives (seconds); mothers of your wives; the children of your wife who are in your care from the wife whom you have interfered with, but if you have not interfered with your wife (and have divorced her), then it is not sinful that you marry her; (and forbidden to you) the wives of your biological children (in-laws); and the gathering (in marriage) of two sisters, except for those that have happened in the past; indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And (you also forbid) a married woman, except the slaves you have (God has set the law) as His decree upon you. And it is forbidden for you other than that (i.e.) to seek wives with your property to marry not to fornicate.” (QS. An Nisa’: 22-24)
