Good News and Bad News

Alex was in a meeting room with some employees who were working overtime. The problem with one client is already overcome. Now he must be overtime with the launch of new products from his company. As he was seriously listening to an explanation from one of the employees. Now he is surprised by the arrival of Maya who suddenly entered the meeting room without knocking on the door first. "What's wrong?"

"Sir..." Maya has trouble explaining something she wants to say. His breathing was breathless as he hurriedly entered the meeting room earlier. "Miss Desi..."

His wife's name was mentioned by Maya. Makes his heart instantly want to stop beating. Maya won't report anything unimportant if she's in a meeting. Especially when it comes to the wife. "What's wrong with Desi?" he asked quickly while spontaneously standing up.

"Miss Desi fainted."

Without hearing the explanation from Maya in detail, Alex immediately ran out of the meeting room followed by Maya.

Sandra helped push the bangkar that was being pushed by several hospital nurses. On top of the bench lay Desi who was still unconscious. Now Sandra feels guilty when she sees Desi who looks helpless because of her actions. When he just wanted to prank the brother-in-law now even a disaster for him. He was afraid that if something happened that he did not want, then he was the one who would be blamed entirely by Alex.

"You wait here" said a nurse stopping Sandra's steps into the ER room.

Sandra followed what the nurse said. A cold sweat sweat was already dripping down his forehead. His hands were trembling unruffled. Her tears did not stop shedding because of the mistake she had made. "Please save my sister-in-law" Sandra held the nurse's hand as she entered the ER's private room.

"We will try our best" said the nurse, then went into the room where Desi was given first aid.

While Sandra just pecked at where she stood. He was so scared. Afraid that anything will happen to her sister-in-law.

A few minutes later Alex arrived at the hospital. He looked around the entire hospital. Then he saw Sandra standing in front of the room. Then he ran towards Sandra followed by Maya. "Sandra..." Call her when she's behind Sandra. "What's happened?"

"Sister..." Sandra was crying. "I'm sorry..."

"I asked what happened? Say quickly?" Tell Alex who can't wait to hear the story from Sandra. Both of his hands were already holding onto Sandra's arms tightly.

"Sister actually..."

"What happened to Desi?" Ask Siska. Desi's family and Alex's family come together to Alex and Sandra.

"Mama..." Sandra ran to her mother and hugged her.

"What's the matter exactly?" Siska asked while not stopping crying. He was told by his son-in-law that his daughter had fainted in the mall.

When Alex was about to answer a question from the in-laws at that time a doctor came out of the ER private door. Everyone's eyes immediately turned to the male physician standing at the door. Dr. Roni is the doctor who handles Desi in the ER room.

"Is your wife allergic to food?" Ask Dr. Roni who is looking for a cause because Desi is currently in a worrying condition.

"really. My son is allergic to meat and fish" Siska replied as she moved forward.

"That's why Desi fainted and had trouble breathing. We will try to save the patients. But there is one other obstacle that is holding us back." Doctor Roni said he had explained.

"Installions? What obstacles? Please save Desi," Alex pleaded with Dr. Roni.

"We have difficulty giving antibiotics to patients because the patient is currently five weeks pregnant" explained Dr. Roni again.

Dr. Roni's explanation really came as a big surprise to Alex and his family. Until now, they did not know that Desi was pregnant. While Sandra can only close her mouth gaping in disbelief. She felt more guilty when Desi was pregnant.

"Who's pregnant?" Ask Alex to make sure.

"true." Reply doctor Roni while breathing heavily. "In the near future doctor Elena as an obstetrician from this hospital will come and deal with Desi," he explained in a sad tone. "We will try to save both. But because the content of Desi is still five weeks old makes her fetus vulnerable to the current condition of Desi." Obviously Dr. Roni. For a moment he paused his sentence for a moment. "Pray, may the fetus in your wife's womb be saved." The doctor said Roni while patting Alex's shoulder a few times and then he went back into the ER room. But for a moment his step was restrained when Alex's hand was holding his shoulder. He turned back to face Alex.

"If I were told to choose. Then I beg you to save Desi, please" Alex said for sure. His eyes were already glazed over as he had to choose between two difficult choices.

While the doctor Roni can only encourage Alex by patting back Alex's shoulder. Then he walked back to the ER room.

Alex still can't believe what Dr. Roni said. He still could not believe the decision he had just made. He still stands where he stands. Between believe and not when hearing about Desi's pregnancy. This is good news and also bad news for him. He was certainly very happy about Desi's pregnancy but on the other hand he was also sad when he had to be faced with bad news when the fetus in his wife's stomach could be saved or not.

Alex rubbed his forehead which from earlier had already let out a lot of cold sweat. Right now he can't even say anything more. His tongue seemed to be aght when he tried to pull out an istighfar sentence. The family behind her could only cry.
