"Where were you this afternoon?" asked Anang, then fed a spoonful of warm fried rice, into his mouth.
The fried rice tent is quite crowded with visitors, making Anang and Santi can only eat at the table outside the tent.
The hot steam coming out of their ordered food, was seen billowing into the air.
The night temperature was indeed quite cold, after having just been hit by heavy rain.
The black wet asphalt road looks shiny, exposed to the light reflection of food vendors, which lined with wagon and makeshift tents.
"I went with Tom, my friend who you saw at the gay gathering earlier," said Santi who also looked pretty good eating his food.
"Tom, want to see that place first. But because of the difficulty of communicating, he asked me to drive him," continued Santi.
"Then how can he and his friends make promises there, while the place alone he does not know?" ask Anang.
"I told him that the place was used by people like them,
It should be when we moved the hostel that time, I already drove him there,
But, since we were both busy until the afternoon, I didn't have time to drop her off. That's why your schedule is there, even though Tom doesn't know exactly where it is" Santi explained.
"Why do you want to sing Mister Grand?" ask Anang again.
"Tom was on a cruise with us at the time. She heard the love song you were singing, and felt it was a good song for foreplay.
"Is there anything else you want to ask?" santi asked, then fed the last spoonful of food.
"What is foreplay?" asked Anang hurriedly.
Santi smiled, then shook his head.
"What we usually do, before we have sex," said Santi, but this time his countenance seemed to change, as if something was bothering him.
Anang noticed the change in Santi's face, before the woman smiled back at Anang.
"You came home without waiting for me" said Santi.
"Eh. I thought you were busy with your boy friend" Anang said.
Santi seemed to take a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.
Santi then looked around, Anang also looked around them.
The streets already look quiet, although the night is not too late, approximately around half hour and nine nights.
Maybe because it was raining, so people are not too interested to go for a walk.
"You don't want to go home yet? Don't you have an appointment with Gita?" santi asked suddenly, while Anang was still looking at the street.
"No, he has to work tomorrow" Anang said.
With a flat face, Santi just nodded his head, without responding to Anang's words.
Then Santi can be seen sipping mineral water from the bottle, until only half the bottle is left.
"Why? You want to go home now?" ask Anang.
"Yes. I'm tired" said Santi. He then stood up and walked over to the fried rice merchant they had eaten earlier.
Anang looked at Santi who looked like he was being less excited.
But, Anang thought that it might just be because Santi was exhausted.
Anang also had no interest in discussing the incident this afternoon. Moreover, Santi also seemed not interested in discussing it.
Santi then looks back to where Anang sat, and takes a bottle of drinking water whose contents are still left.
"Let's get out of here!" take Santi who is still standing.
Anang stood up from his seat, then took the remaining mineral water he had not finished drinking, and took it while walking with Santi.
"Not ordered a taxi yet?" asked Anang while walking down the sidewalk, which was still wet, along with Santi who was walking beside him.
"Just a second! You tired?" ask Santi.
"Then, we walk for a while" said Santi, twirling the water bottle in his hand.
As they were walking, there were some people who came out of the house of worship not far from the roadside they passed.
Santi then turned to the place, took out a few pieces of money from his small sling bag, and put them in a small box, which was in front of the house of worship.
Anang also did the same, before they continued walking down the sidewalk.
Not far from there, there is a bright night market, although visitors are almost invisible.
"Would you stop there for a second?" ask Santi.
Without answering Santi's question, Anang held Santi's hand, then took him into the night market area.
Anang could see from the edge of his eyes that Santi was looking at him right now.
Anang then embraces Santi's waist, while walking slowly, looking at simple playgrounds for children.
"Just a second! I want a snack" said Santi who suddenly stopped walking.
Anang looked at the stand selling snacks, which lined up neatly near the two of them.
The two of them approached the place selling the food.
"What do you want? I want gulali, french fries, grilled sausage, same popcorn," Santi said.
Anang's hand, which was still embracing Santi's waist, pulled Santi's body until he was completely leaning against Anang, and made Santi turn his head and look at Anang with the face of Sangar.
"Don't buy sausages! The others," said Anang.
After Anang finished talking, Santi smiled widely, and almost laughed.
Maybe he understood what Anang was thinking now.
"Mom! The fries are two, the popcorn two, the sugar is also two" Santi told the female merchant guarding the place.
After paying for his groceries, Santi immediately opened a pack of gulali and began to eat it, while walking slowly.
While Anang who holds a package of groceries, and one hand again still does not want to take off his embrace from Santi's waist, just walk following Santi's steps.
Anang looked around at some of the children who looked happy, while playing in the balloon palace.
Santi then feeds Anang a little gulali.
When Anang ate it, then saw Santi, the woman's face looked happy, while smiling sweetly at Anang.
It feels like Anang wants to kiss Santi's lips at that time, only Anang still remembers that there are many children.
Anang kissed Santi's forehead slowly.
But, it seems that Santi does not like Anang's sweet treatment to him.
Santi's face changed drastically.
"Let's go home! there are enough streets," said Santi as he took Anang's hand off his waist, and walked away.
Anang had stopped walking for a while, because he was confused by Santi's attitude which suddenly changed like that, before he finally caught up with Santi.
"Is something wrong?" asked Anang, when they were already in the car they were riding in.
Santi simply fell silent, and did not answer Anang's question.
Santi looked busy staring out the window beside him.
Likewise, when Anang tried to hold Santi's hand, the woman pulled his hand as if she did not accept that Anang touched her.
Finally, the two of them remained silent all the way home, until they arrived at the post.
When entering the boarding room, Santi still did not want to talk to Anang.
What happened to Santi this time?
