Chapter 22

Joon can only stay for one day. The next day he had to go back. Leaving Nina who tried to show her fierce face in front of Joon.

"Are you sure?" ask Joon.

Nina peeking. What is clear is that Nina does not want her circumstances to be a hindrance to Joon in completing his work.

"Work quietly in the office, I guarantee you nothing will bother you anymore."

"Yes?" Nina doesn't understand Joon's words. The man hugged Nina and gently kissed Nina's head.

"I'm leaving."

Nina simply looked at Joon's departure with a hollow feeling that began to crawl through her heart. He wanted to keep the man from always being by his side. But he can't be selfish either. The man has a responsibility that he must complete.

"Well, what is this feeling. Why don't I want to separate from Joon."

"You're actually in love with Joon, it's just that you're too proud to admit it," Karin's words came back to her ears.

"This must not be true" denied Nina.

But he cannot be broken. Joon's presence yesterday really helped Nina face the harsh realities of her life.

"I hope you'll be okay. I'm sorry I can't stay any longer" Joon said as the taxi slowly left his mother's house. Take him to the airport. Return to the capital, Jakarta.

Joon sighed. There was a burden of his own when he had to leave Nina in such a state.

"Send a letter of dismissal on behalf of Heri Kurniawan to the Jogja branch."

The first command Joon says to Max as soon as he enters his office. Makes the man gawk.

"But why?"

"He dared to steal from me!"

"Can't the branch take care of it."

"Just do it and ask a lot of questions. I'll send you proof of his imprisonment."

The command without objection makes Max inevitably have to carry it out immediately.

"What's this that he said take care of something in Jogja," inner Max

"How dare you disturb mine and steal from me" Joon said. While looking at someone who is working through a cctv that he has hacked.

"Who do you think you are? Dare to give the order to me" replied the man, not losing.

"You don't know who I am."

"You think I care who you are."

"What if I'm the one who can make you unemployed?"

"Did you think you're so good, huh?!"

"Well, if you don't believe. Tomorrow I'll make sure your dismissal letter is on your desk. And don't you think Nina doesn't know what you're doing in the office."

Joon's words were able to make Heri instantly rise in blood. He immediately went forward clutching Joon's shirt collar. Joon just grinned at Heri's actions.

"You? Who are you to fire me? Oooo, wrong no one will be able to fire me and no one can force me to leave Nina!" heri's word is full of emphasis

"I can do that, don't worry," Joon replied casually

"Basic jerk!" said Heri who immediately threw a punch towards Joon. But Joon can quickly dodge and, Buuggh....

A punch precisely in getting Heri in his stomach

"Aaaakkhh, shit!" beri grimaced while holding his stomach that feels pain.

"That's a payoff to the man who dared to intrude on me and steal in my office. But the real reply you will receive tomorrow. So just wait."

Joon said, then left Heri. With an astonished face at once the pain endured the pain in his stomach.

But soon his phone rang.

"Yes hello, Yon."

"This is Heri's department. It's critical. They already know everything."

"Oh shit!" Bump him again while scrambling his hair in frustration. He sees Joon's back passing away from the restaurant.

Joon rubs the tip of his lips with his fingers.

"One little mouse has been cleared," Joon murmured.

Joon has hacked the financial analysis Nina made. And found the involvement of Heri in a number of transactions that are not in accordance with the actual circumstances.

Yes, one of the reasons Nina was unwilling to accept Heri's feelings was because of that. Heri was involved in a number of embezzlement funds. At the time, Nina had not found any evidence. But in her latest report, Nina was able to find evidence of Heri's involvement.

Counting on one week since the departure of her father, Nina had already started to enter the office for two days. He must concern himself. Otherwise he would just cry and lock himself in the room.

Nina had just gotten off her bike, when suddenly someone wearing a hodie and a mask attacked her, with a knife in her hand.

"Aaaahhhh" Nina immediately screamed. The knife injured his left arm. Blood instantly seeped down his blazer arm.

Not finished with his shock, the attacker had already started attacking Nina again. This time Nina was quick to resist the man's attack. He held the person's wrist so that his knife would no longer injure him.

Some people who saw the incident immediately approached to provide help. Nina slowly bent her knees and with all her might hit the assailant's stomach with her knees.

The attacker staggered back, but the knife he was holding managed to scratch Nina's wrist. Nina came back grimacing.

The attacker again intended to attack Nina, but his attempt failed because some people came and held her. The man tried to thrash but could not escape.

"Sir, is it okay?" ask the security guard

"No sir, it's just a small wound."

Nina approached the attacker. Curious he forced open the hodie and the mask the attacker was wearing.

"Heri, how can you..?"

"You're happy now, huh?"

"What do you mean?"

"Because of you, I was fired! Because of you I became unemployed," maki Heri unceasingly.

"How come this happened I haven't even submitted my report yet."

Heri still berates Nina when she is forcibly herded to a security guard post to be taken to the police station.

"I'll reward you Nina, we'll see!" threaten Heri with a voice that is getting away. Anger and hatred were clearly drawn on the man's face.

"Huh? fired?" Nina gawks in disbelief when Karin says Heri has been fired. Both are in the medical room. Karin was cleaning Nina's wound. Scratched, but pretty much spitting up a lot of blood. Although the wound is not too deep.

"Yes fired. Even his dismissal letter was directly sent from the headquarters. Along with the evidence we just found yesterday" Karin's last sentence said half a whisper.

"I haven't even submitted the report to the Great Sir yet" Ninapun whispered

"Well, that's the problem. Then how did this happen?"

"I don't know."

Both are in confusion. There was absolutely no clue how the evidence got to the headquarters.
