Love for Time

Love for Time
Chapter 10 - A Promise On Grandma

At the time of the boarding house, especially girls, excited by the news about Keisya's planned move to their boarding house, it turns out that the person being talked about is enjoying lunch together with his family and fiancee.

Dimitri stood politely and bowed as Keisya's parents came to them in a luxurious restaurant, where they promised to meet.

Om Hermanto nodded at Dimitri, then smiled broadly at his favorite son, Keisya. Aunt Amelia Hemanto also immediately embraced and smiled at her son.

"Mommy's child is always beautiful." she praised in a tone full of pride.

"Come, Dimitri. Come on in, let's lunch." invite Aunt Amelia to a scene, typical of mothers - mothers meet prospective daughters-in-law. His hand held Keysia's arm, heading to a restaurant that had been booked earlier on the way.

Dimitri smiled politely and followed the group to a table that was a bit secluded. More exclusive. Two creme color sofas shaded a beautiful fabric tent. Despite its outdoor location, the air did not feel hot because the place was shady and there were many trees around them. They can enjoy the food as well as a pleasant outdoor atmosphere.

Dimitri sat next to Keisya, opposite Om and Aunt Hermanto. Om Hermanto handed out a menu book to Dimitri.

"Thank you, Om." Dimitri replied briefly and politely, then he opened the menu book and gave it to Keisya.

As he had - already, Dimitri did not say much. He only obeyed the Princess and her family.

"Lho's? You don't choose dhisik anyway?" ask Aunt Amelia with a medok sound typical of central Java.

(You didn't choose first?)

"I'm warm sweet tea, Auntie."

Dimitri doesn't want anything, he doesn't want to add to his debt to Keisya's family. Even though he knew, until anytime his debt to them would not be paid off. They had already helped the cost of care for her grandmother and her college, at least she should know herself.

Hhh. true Cheryl said. There's no way out. Dimitri involuntarily exhaled his breath. Keisya glanced at the young man he loved since they were little.

Dimitri sat up straight and politely facing his parents, answering each question politely. There was something stuck in Keisya's heart, his little heart said that the young man's mind was not with him. Although it looks polite, Dimitri seems to want to end this meeting immediately. Several times Keisya saw Dimitri glancing at the clock on his wrist.

Keisya turned his attention towards his parents who had started to take the dishes that had just been served. It seems they do not realize that this prospective son-in-law has not felt at home for a long time.

"It's delicious, Dimitri. You'd have to suck if you hadn't tried."

Aunt Hermanto took Dimitri's plate and filled it with food that he said was the restaurant's 'flagship menu.

"Eat a lot - a lot, mumpung can eat well. Hostess children usually have less nutritious food." chuckled mama Keisya while giving a plate filled with food to Dimitri.

Dimitri nodded politely and thanked him.

"Lho, Papi wasn't taken? All that's taken is a son-in-law's candidate?" goda Om Hermanto, pura - pura jealously.

"Take it yourself anyway, Pap. Dimitri was his man to bow down, if not taken where he wants to eat." said Aunt Hermanto quickly, her hands rolled her hair that decomposed, so as not to enter the food when she later ate.

Om Hermanto smiled and glanced meaningfully at Keisya. The girl just shrugged her shoulders, not interested in the crisp jokes of her parents. His mind was suddenly full because he saw Dimitri's body language that looked uncomfortable.

"When did Dimitri pass?"

Well, this!

This question seemed to be a boundary line where Dimitri had to stop 'walking' and go back into the cage and then live in the Hermanto family.

"Where is the class?"

"Scriptions, Om. It's still an observation stage and looking for references."

"Do you know that you can rely on Om's company for observation?" papi asked Keisya to show that he received Dimitri with open arms.

"Yes, Om. Thank you." Thank you."

'That's exactly what I want to avoid the most, Om. I don't want to go deeper and harder.'

"Gee... Meaning next year you marry." said Ms. Hermanto.

Holy hooch! Dimitri's heart seemed to stop when he heard the word marriage. From the beginning of his admission to college, Dimitri knew and fully realized that the end of everything was the marriage with Keysia. But still his heart was not ready.

"Lho, Mum. Ask Dimitri first, does he want to or not? They are still young." said Mr. Hermanto, he felt bad for Dimitri. His wife was too thin.

"Ih, Papi here... Don't-you know. The condition of Grandma Dimitri we never know. Mami only wants her Grandma Dimitri to see her granddaughter marry. Let's just calm down, Pi."

(You know \= I told you.)

Mami Keisya paused for a moment, then turned towards Dimitri with a hopeful look. "What do you think, Dimitri?"

Dimitri put the spoon and fork in his hand, then looked straight at Keisya's parents.

How good, if Dimitri anyway just follow what the word Om and Aunt."

An answer that sounded so calm came out of Dimitri's mouth, without anyone knowing, that the sentence held a bit of submission. Give up on whatever happens later. What can a twenty-year-old do? The income is minimal while the need for check up and dialysis grandmother continues to pursue.

Hearing Dimitri's reply, Keisya who had lowered his head immediately turned towards Dimitri trying to read the young man's mind.

But Keisya failed. Dimitri's face was cold and expressionless as if he was just a robot that had been set automatically to do something.

"Dimi, if you want to postpone it. I'm fine." said Keisya kindly. His hand touched a glimpse of Dimitri's arm.

Dimitri just smiled faintly. He knew that the sentence was not really - really spoken by Keisya.

Keisya said all that in front of his parents, what they said if Dimitri changed his answer. If Keisya is indeed kind, is it better that he who reasoned still want to go to college instead of getting married young.

Right now, both of Keisya's parents were looking at the two of them. Waiting for Dimitri's response.

"No, Keisya. I promised my grandmother I would marry you. Regarding the timing, whenever it's up to your parents."

'Same Grandma promise?'

Keisya's chest rumbled to hear Dimitri's words. So, Dimitri wants to marry her because of a promise? Not because of love?

Connect yes...
