Love for Losing Memory

Love for Losing Memory
Handoko's Return

In a modest but impressively elegant house, located in one corner of the Amsterdam suburb, a middle-aged man is receiving a phone call from Indonesia.

"What's? How could this possibly happen and escape your scrutiny?" handoko snapped loudly to the person who was talking across the phone.

"I'll fly back there soon. You clean up this mess, don't get smelled by the media!" he continued to hang up the phone.

"What's the problem?" asked Della, Handoko's wife who was worried about hearing her husband talk on the phone.

"There is a bit of a problem with our company in Indonesia, Ma." Handoko replied briefly, not wanting to make his wife worry, after a long time finally able to smile back since the loss of their beloved daughter, Erina.

"Really, Pa? This must be a serious matter, right?" della asked, unsure of the husband's answer.

"No need to worry mama. Papa can handle it anyway." replied Handoko to calm his wife.

"But, Papa had to return to Jakarta to take care of the problem. What Papa worries about, instead of mama here, is it okay if Mama herself is here?" handoko. Della did not look surprised to hear that, because she had heard her husband talk on the phone that had said he would soon return to Indonesia.

"Mama doesn't want to be alone here, Pa. I'm coming back to Indonesia, too, Pa." Pinta Della.

"But....Are you ready, Ma?" handoko asked to make sure, because it meant they would return to their house filled with memories with Erina. During this time, they deliberately moved abroad to calm down after being so devastated by the departure of their daughter due to the accident.

"Papa doesn't have to worry about Mama. I'm okay."

"All right, then. I'll take care of our flight home today. Tomorrow we will return to Indonesia."

Handoko was forced to return to Indonesia to solve the problems that occurred in his company. During this time, he gave full responsibility for the stewardship of his company to his nephew, Calvin. During this time, Calvin had indeed become Handoko's right hand in taking care of the company. So, Handoko felt she could trust Calvin completely. It's just that, apparently, some of the managers in the company took the opportunity during Calvin's leadership, because they felt that the young Calvin was not worthy to lead them, so they did embezzlement of funds that made the company suffered huge losses, even almost bankrupt.

Handoko tells Calvin to keep this from being smelled by the media until it is finally reported by the media. This of course will make the company worse, because it is certain that shareholders will attract their share ownership in the company. He had to go home to save his company so as not to really go bankrupt.

Handoko immediately takes care of all his affairs in this city, before his return to the homeland tomorrow. He was a little worried about his wife's situation, if Della came back to Indonesia. Still imagined in his mind, how the slump of Della after the accident that hit his daughter to make them lose for the second time. She fears that Della will again dissolve in her sadness if she returns to Indonesia. However, Della's determination was unanimous, she still wanted to follow her husband back to Indonesia.

The next day, Handoko and his wife left for the airport to fly back to Indonesia. After being on the plane for approximately 15 hours of travel time, they arrived at home. As they got off the plane and out of the airport, a car was waiting to pick them up. Calvin, Handoko's niece, had been waiting for an hour because he didn't want it until his uncle had to wait for him.

"How was the trip, Om, Auntie?" ask Calvin

"Especially with the condition of the body that began to age like this, really exhausting Vin, sitting for hours in the plane like this. Aunty wants to get home quickly so she can rest." - Della.

"Ready, Auntie! Yesterday I told the servants to clean and tidy up the house so that it was really comfortable to live in again." replied Calvin who was sitting next to the driver. The car drove through the city traffic to the Handoko residence which had long been abandoned. During this time Handoko's house is not liveable, he only put two helpers to keep taking care of and caring for the house.

An hour later, they arrived at Handoko's residence. Della slowly steps into her long-abandoned house, a house full of memories. Although still feeling sadness, he has been determined to remain strong to live his life today. He doesn't want to fall again.

"Mama's okay, right?" asked Handoko who was feeling a little worried looking at his wife's flat face.

"It's okay, Pa. Never mind, Papa doesn't have to worry about Mama." replied Della.

"All right, let's go in!" bring handoko.

"Welcome back, Ladies and gentlemen!" greet the two servants who have stood from before the door to welcome the return of their master. They immediately helped to lift their employer's luggage.

Handoko and his wife immediately entered their house which were all still in the same state, but the atmosphere felt different. Especially when they arrive at the family room, the room where usually their families gather, joking together. Now only the two of them remained without Erina anymore.

"Mama rest. Come on, I'll take you to my room!" bring Handoko.

"It's not necessary, Pa. Mama still wants to look around for a minute. I will be able to go to my own room....If Papa still has something to talk about with Calvin, just accompany him in the living room, Pa!"

"alright. Remember yes, you must rest, Ma. Can't be exhausted... I want to talk to Calvin for a while." said Handoko then walked towards the living room in front. While Della walked up to their family photo displayed on one of the wall shelves in the room. Her heart grew even more claustrophobic as she looked at Erina's photo. Without feeling it, she shed tears. She quickly removed it, so as not to make her husband worry about seeing her cry over Erina again.

"Mama, miss you, son." said Della slowly.

"I've put the suitcases in the master room, ma'am. Anything else I need to help you with, ma'am?" asked Sita, one of the servants in the house, before returning to the kitchen to continue her work.

"For the moment there is none. You just keep going back to your job!" answer Della

"Okay, Madam! I went back to the kitchen first. If you need anything, call me yes Madam." reply Sita politely.

Della walked to her room to rest because she was quite tired after a long journey.
