HOSPITAL

The three of them arrived in front of the hospital. Some medics ran towards their cars by pushing the gurney after hearing Lauren's screaming voice saying about Raditya's state.

Dara steps side by side with Pratama who looks panicked to see the son taken to the IGD room using a gurney.

"Quiet, Pa. Raditya will definitely be fine" said Dara to calm Pratama. In fact, in his heart, he was also no less panicked. Moreover, what happened to Raditya was because of him. Raditya's blocking the man who's about to shoot himself.

Raditya has entered the IGD room. Lauren invites the father to sit in the waiting chair followed by Dara. The three of them then sat down restlessly.

"Tell me about the wrong target earlier–"

"Erens. Just call me Eren, " Lauren said when she heard Dara seeming confused to say her name.

"Eren, why do you think Raditya was the victim of the wrong target?" Dara stared intently at the woman before her.

"I'm just guessing."

"Guessing? What do you mean guess?" Dara was getting curious.

Pratama then tells about his move to Lauren's house. He also told me about his past. Everything, including about Raditya who is not his biological son.

Pratama also tells about all the crimes that Mira has committed in the past and also the threat of Mira after she left the woman in the house they lived in together for years.

Dara could not hide her surprise when she heard all the words that came out of the mouth of her former father-in-law. He really did not think that Mira was a cruel woman.

Dara thought, Mira's crime is only limited to her speech and behavior. However, it turns out that the woman is also capable of committing a crime that takes the life of a person.

Dara shook her head slowly while exhaling a long breath. Never thought that the woman who often insulted and demeaned her when she was Raditya's wife turned out to be a man who could finish the lives of others for his ambition.

"I really didn't think Raditya's mother was such a creepy person." Dara looked at Pratama and Lauren in turn.

"I'm sorry you didn't prevent all the evil Mira did to you." Pratama looked at Dara with guilt.

"Papa also apologizes to you, Eren, because until now papa has not been able to be the best papa for you." Pratama clasped Lauren's hand tightly. Channeling guilt in her heart for years of letting her daughter live alone.

From childhood to adulthood Lauren was only accompanied by her domestic assistant.

"Papa's been trying to be the best Papa for me, Pa. I never regretted anything. I thank you Papa for always giving me Papa's affection even though we never lived together." Lauren looked at the father with two teary eyes.

"Then, why do you think they're on the wrong track?" Dara still doesn't understand.

Their main goal is to harm Lauren. Then it's clear, they'll definitely be looking for Lauren. Then, why would they want to shoot him while obviously he's not Lauren? There's no way those criminals don't know their targets, right?

Lauren pointed at him. "The clothes we wear today are the same. Your hairstyle and our body shape are pretty much the same," Lauren said.

Dara notices the clothes attached to Lauren's body. It is true what the girl said. Their hairstyles are almost the same.

"They've been following me since I was in the mini market. The shooting took place almost ten minutes after I entered the house. Likely, those criminals thought that you were me because they only saw you from behind. Isn't it?" Lauren looked at Dara who nodded her head.

"You're right. Raditya immediately protected me with his body when he saw the criminal pointing his gun" Dara said.

Why would Raditya help her? Dara really did not want to deal with the man anymore. But why did the fate of the jutsru bring them back together?

The sound of the door opening. Pratama, Lauren and Dara immediately approached the doctor who had just walked out of the room.

"How is my son, Doctor?" Pratama first expressed his concern.

"The critical period is over. We took out a bullet lodged in his back. Fortunately, the wound is not too deep and does not damage other organs," explained the doctor named Dika. The adult smiled kindly.

"In a moment the patient will be taken to the hospital room immediately," continued Dika Doctor before stepping away leaving the three of them who looked smiling with relief.

"Thank God, Raditya is fine" Dara and Lauren said. Likewise with Pratama who looks to breathe a sigh of relief.

The middle-aged man was truly grateful that Raditya was doing well.

"I reported the case to the police station. I'm sorry I was so freaked out to see Raditya get shot."

"It's okay. Let Mira get the reward for her actions. Papa doesn't care even though this case is gonna drag him into jail." Pratama clenched both his hands.

"I will always support Papa" Dara and Lauren said simultaneously.
