Love at the End of Time

Love at the End of Time
Chapter 16

Father's Regret

Daina and Maisara still remember that the company was only in the form of two rented shophouses, until years passed, changes began to occur. The struggle was not easy until finally, a block in the suburban district of Askanawa it can be purchased. It was a building with a three-story shophouse concept and each part of the shophouse was each of its divisions.

Daina regrets why she was so weak and stupid that when she divorced Hansan, she got nothing but her generous gift.

“Mother, I'll look at Dad, he's sick and just stay home!”

“That, reasonable! He's been enjoying it all this time, so let him feel that pain!”

Daina's words sound harsh to Maisara's ears, but she is confused, as it is impossible to be angry at her mother but also pity her father.

Maisara rushed to the car, where the driver was waiting. She ended the phone call with her mother, promising to come to her tomorrow.

Arriving at Avonville Housing, Maisara went straight into his house freely, and found the father who was sleeping weakly alone in his room, there was no one around the room.

He approached his father and touched his hand gently.

“What's your own father here? Where are Auntie and the others?” maisara asked as soon as Hansen opened his eyes to receive his son's touch.

Hansen nodded, his face was pale and his eyes seemed half clenched, he stroked Maisara's hands.

“I'm sorry,” said Hansan weakly.

Maisara ignored his father's words, after all why did the old man apologize? Her thought.

“Why don't you just go to the hospital?”

“Do you have the cost?” suddenly someone replied from behind Maisara, it was Saida who appeared out of nowhere.

“Can't Aunty take Dad to the hospital and finance him?”

“Omong empty! You know, it's been almost a month of our finances thinning!”

“Don't Dad still have money! It is impossible if the account is empty!” Maisara asked Sahida for disbelief, because even though the company no longer gets money, at least there is still Dad's savings, the account is never empty!” said Maisara straightforwardly.

He was surprised, because at these hours Nella was not at home, what the child did Maisara did not know. And, he thinks it's bad that Nella is squandering her father's money.

“Aibi should thank you all this time for living a quiet and decent life in our house! Is it hard for you to save a little and some money to treat my father, is he not your husband too?”

“What do you mean? Did you just say that I'm the one who doesn't know to return the favor?”

“You said yourself, I never said you were like that!”

Sahida is upset and almost dies of despair, knowing that long before she married Hansan, all of the man's assets and wealth were written in Maisara's name. After all all all the letters and statements of transfer of assets are in the notary, the trust attorney of the Hansan family. He could do nothing but save his money.

Although, the money is still quite a lot, coupled with the wedding gifts that the Mahespati family gave him at the Meisara wedding, but still the money will run out too if he himself does not make money.

Therefore, Sahida thought that taking care of Hansan and taking him to the hospital was the duty of Maisara, not her. After all, even if Harlan was gone, he would not have gotten anything from his wealth.

It turns out that he is as stupid as Daina who used to be considered weak, because after the divorce, he left without bringing anything from his home. Now the real owner of all assets is Maisara.

Until now, his anger and disappointment increased, because of the behavior of his own sister, who had made the company go out of business. The younger brother who was deliberately hired to make his life better, had manipulated the bookkeeping and all his money stolen, little by little.

“Dad, I'll see you again, later. Trust our company's business to me. I promise I'll pay you all your debts!” Maisara said as she stood up from the side of her father's bed. However, the two hands of father and son were still holding each other tightly.

“I'm sorry Dad, Son! I gave you a bad legacy.” Hansan's voice sounded heartbreakingly hoarse, there was a million regrets tucked in there.

“Everything is precious, Dad. If it wasn't for the actions of those self-didn't!” Maisara said as she glanced at Sahida.

“Come home, Mai .. Don't make your husband wait!”

Maisara kissed the back of her father's hand before leaving, without saying goodbye to Sahida.

Arriving at the courtyard of the house, he crosses paths with Nella, who is carrying two shopping bags on the left right of her hand.

“You just saw your father now, Mai?” greet Nella with a dismissive speech Maisara.

Maisara did not answer and continued walking.

“Basic child does not know himself! Were you too busy taking care of your crippled husband, until you forgot to look at your own father?”
