Located in Jambon Hamlet, Bawuran Village, Pleret District, Bantul Regency, Puncak Sosok can be reached by traveling overland 16 kilometers from the heart of Yogyakarta City. 

For the route, visitors only need to go to Pleret-Patuk Road, later before the climb to Cino Mati visitors take the direction to the north and there is a signpost road to Puncak Sosok.

Arriving at Jambon Hamlet, visitors must pass through the uphill road cast block. Not only uphill, the road is fairly narrow, even can only be crossed by one car unit. Although quite far, visitors will be spoiled by the beautiful scenery of green hills along the road.

A few minutes uphill, visitors will arrive at the Puncak Sosok parking area. From the parking area, visitors still have to walk down the uphill road cast block until finally reaching Puncak Sosok.

Arriving at Puncak Sosok, visitors will be greeted by views of TPST Piyungan from a height. Walking to the west, visitors will find photo spots and paths to the viewing post at Puncak Sosok.

Walking further, later it appears a stage of bamboo is at the end of the path. In addition, on the left side of the stage there are 6 buildings of bamboo and roofed dry straw. The 6 buildings are food courts that provide various foods, drinks and rental of seating or mats.

Rudi Haryanto, Chairman of the Group of Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Jabal Klor or who shelters Puncak Sosok said, that Puncak Sosok belongs to new tourist attractions in Bantul Regency, especially Pleret District. Considering Puncak Sosok has only been built since 2017.

Puncak Sosok also make preparations by cleaning the viewing post area and improving the soil that was originally used as a downhill track. In addition, during the Lebaran holiday, especially in the afternoon there will be acoustic music performances on the main stage.
