Love, Treasure And Erlita

Love, Treasure And Erlita
Chapter 37

That day was a red date and as usual, Nafan was busy cleaning and fixing the house when suddenly a girl came to his house. The girl he had known and was close to in the past.

“Eh, Sisil, how come it's here? Login Sil.”

nafan invited Sisil in and offered him a drink. “Know where if I live here?”

“Alan.” Answer Sisil briefly.

“Basic bucket!”

“I deliberately went to Jogja because I heard your grandfather died. Alan said you haven't lived in Jogja.” for a long time

Nafan. “Then do you need to see me here?”

Sisil looks clumsy, it seems he is not ready to be pointed directly at with such a question. But Nafan is not the name if you like long-winded and mostly pleasantries.

“Eh, the.... Anu's...... I happen to have a job here so all of you stop by to find out about you.”

“Oh.”

Just a ‘oh’? It turns out that time has not been able to change the cold and insensitive attitude of Nafan since long ago. Sisil was annoyed at Nafan's very flat and ordinary reaction. They were very close and had a special relationship in the past. After a very long time not meeting Nafan did not look enthusiastic to find out more about the news from his former lover.

“I didn't expect that you would choose to take the hard road.”

“I part with my choice so you don't have to pity me like that.”

“Fan, your grandfather is dead. Is there not the slightest desire in your heart to give up and give him what he wants most? You can't do it while he's alive. But now he's dead and you're his only hope. Until when are you going to hide and hand over all your responsibilities to Alan?”

“I'm not at all interested in all that grandfather has.”

“Don't be stubborn! Everything's different now. You are a husband who must be happy and proud of his wife, grandchildren who must continue the struggle of his late grandfather and also the foundation of the lives of millions of people left by your grandfather. Don't keep being selfish and think only of your own happiness! All this time you have enjoyed all the freedom you want, away from the pressure of your mother's family and the demands of your grandfather. Is that not enough?”

“Sisil, I know we have a very good relationship since childhood. But I don't think it's your capacity to talk like that.”

Suddenly Nafan felt a little regret for leaving his grandfather for too long. Sisil was right, he was too selfish and stubborn. He only thinks of himself.

During this time he tried to run away and hide from his mother's extended family who always used it to get the right to the inheritance of his late mother. He also tried to avoid the grandfather who always pressured and demanded him to continue the family business that Nafan believed to be the cause of both parents died.

It was the family company that made both parents desperate to go to Jakarta and finally never returned home because of an accident on the road. Therefore Nafan decided to leave the house and leave the life that had been strangling him.

“Enough, Sil. Grandpa is dead now. There is no point in us discussing this.”

“You haven't changed, Fan. Still still stubborn Nafan and want to be right yourself!”

Feeling annoyed and there was nothing more to talk about, that day Sisil hurried away from Nafan's house. Although feeling upset with Nafan's attitude, but he was relieved to be able to convey a wish that his grandfather might not have had time to convey to Nafan.

In addition, he felt a little relieved because even though there was a large wedding photo hanging on the wall of the living room, he knew that Nafan lived alone in the house.

Sisil believes he still has plenty of time to talk to Nafan again and hopes that the magic can bring Nafan back to his original life as well.

A few days later, Sisil returned to Nafan's house. That day he brought a lot of food and intended to cook some of Nafan's favorite food menu at Nafan's house. Not wanting to cause slander, Nafan rejected Sisil's idea and asked him not to come again.

“What's wrong with you, Fan? I just want to make you your favorite food. That's it.”

“Thank you Sisil. But really you don't have to. I'm used to cooking by myself and I'm married again. I don't want to make my wife misunderstand me if she sees you suddenly cooking food for me in my kitchen.”

“Why do you still care about women who don't care about you at all? He's not even with you right now. I just want you to know that there are other women who can be much better than him.”

“No need Sisil. I don't need another woman because I love her so much. And just having it is enough to make me feel like I have everything.”

It seems Sisil was very hurt because of Nafan's words because he went straight from Nafan's house without saying goodbye.
