Living With The Bastard's
Unexpected Help

Keyla ran through the hospital hallway with a sigh. After passing through tens of meters, he managed to arrive in front of the father's nursery.

Only, Keyla found the nursery empty. This made Keyla's heart beat faster, and her feelings became more unpleasant.

Keyla returned down the hospital corridor, until she finally saw Rita's mother sitting alone in one of the waiting chairs.

"Mom, why is Mom here? Where is daddy? Why is my room empty?" keyla asked worriedly with her breath still stinginging.

"Your father's been transferred to the operating room, son. You help me pray, yes, he is now undergoing a surgical procedure" replied Rita's mother.

Keyla heaved a sigh of relief, she shaved because what she feared did not come true.

"Sorry Key yes, ma'am." Keyla hugged her mother and cried.

This made Rita's mother confused.

"What's wrong with you, son? Why are you crying?" asked Rita's mother while gently stroking her daughter's long hair.

"So Key had thought badly about dad, Key didn't want that to happen, Mom," isak Keyla in the warm embrace of the mother.

Rita smiled, There is nothing happier for a mother than having a child who cares so much for the family.

Like his daughter, of course.

A moment later Keyla let go of her mother's embrace. "How did you get on the operating table, ma'am? We haven't even paid the cost at all, but please if you're dealt with sooner. Today Key wants to pay the advance, ma'am. Dara wants to guarantee her savings to pay for my father's operating costs."

Rita's mother smiled happily again, she clasped Keyla's hand tightly. "That's a good friend, son ., but I also have friends as good as him. Dara doesn't have to take her savings to pay for your father's surgery, because mom's friend has to bear all the costs."

"Whose mom's friend? Does Key know him?"

As Keyla knew, her mother had no friends from the family. Then who can afford a kidney transplant surgery procedure that is nominally not small?

Rita's mother shook her head. "You may not know him anymore, honey. My mother had not seen him for a long time either. She married a Caucasian man, and moved abroad when you were 5-years-old. Since then we have only met again today."

"Where did you meet that aunt?" ask Keyla curiously.

"Here, he is the owner of this hospital. She barely even recognized him anymore, because he looked so young. It was he who recognized the mother first" replied Rita's mother.

Considering the two have not met for so long, Rita's mother did not even think that Kyara, her old friend, still recognized her.

"So she happened to come back to Indonesia, keep meeting Mom here?" ask Keyla whose personality is starting to crumble.

Rita's mother let out a long sigh and then exhaled violently. Although he had explained at length, but his daughter still did not stop asking.

"He's been coming back to Indonesia for a month, and he says he'll stay here. That's the guy coming!" Rita's mother pointed towards a middle-aged woman who was walking towards them.

Keyla turned around to look in the direction her mother pointed.

"They were ...." Keyla was shocked and scared after learning that her mother's best friend was the woman she had just hit.

"This, Ta, the food." Lady Kyara gives a plastic bag to Rita's mother.

"Thank you, Ra."

Lady Kyara turned her eyes to Keyla who was downcast. "Who is this, Ta?"

Lady Kyara nodded. "So you're Keylani? From childhood until now, it was still careless!"

Keyla dared to raise her head, and said in a trembling voice, "I'm sorry, Madam. It was completely unintentional."

"It's okay. You're still a little careless, but you've grown up to be a polite child."

"What's my daughter, Ra?" ask Rita's mother who doesn't understand the conversation.

"She hit me on the street" replied Miss Kyara.

"You, quickly meet Aunt Kyara and apologize!" tell Rita's mom to Keyla.

"My name is Keylani, Madam!" Keyla politely grabs the hand of mistress Kyara and kisses the back of her hand.

Lady Kyara smiled gently. "Tante already knows your name, and don't call me Madam. Call me Auntie, Aunt Kyara."

This woman rubbed Keyla's head, then turned to Rita's mother. "You eat there first, Ta. It was this afternoon."

"Yes, Ra." Rita's mother nodded, before leaving she turned to Keyla, "You're here aja, aunt Kyara chat."

Now in the waiting chair that only leaves Keyla and Miss Kyara.

"Sorry, Aunt. I was really panicked because my mother called me so many times, I even thought something bad happened to my father" said Keyla, who still felt bad.

Lady Kyara looked at Keyla with shady eyes. "But next time you have to be careful even under any circumstances. Good thing you hit that guy, what car?"

Keyla nodded. "Yes, Aunt, sorry. So that's Auntie out and you want to buy food for mom, huh?"

"Yes, your aunt wanted to take your mother out to eat but she didn't want to, she said there was no one here to take care of your father. Your mother is still keukeh when the family should not enter during the surgical process, so aunty bawain aja food for your mother," replied Miss Kyara.

"Auntie is very good, thank you also for financing my father's operation" said Keyla.

"It's nothing, your mother is a aunt's best friend from a still girl, so it's only natural that aunty help your family."

Shortly after Rita's mother returned after finishing eating, they chatted warmly while waiting for the operation process.

After nearly four hours of struggling with the scalpel, the doctor who handled the operation Keyla's father came out of the room.

"How's he doing, Doc?" ask Miss Kyara.

"The process is smooth, madam. Now patients only need to be hospitalized for approximately one week, so we can monitor their recovery well" the doctor replied.

Lady Kyara nodded. While the faces of Keyla and her mother looked brightly lit, this was very happy news for both of them.

Shortly after that the medical team went out to move the patient to the hospital room

Mrs Kyara saw briefly the condition of her best friend's husband, after which she was ready to go home.

"Be careful on the road, Auntie. Thank you for the help" Keyla said as she saluted Ms. Kyara.

"You're careful, don't be careless" said Miss Kyara, smiling amusedly and making Keyla bow in shame.

Seriate.
