Rita's mother walked over, sat down beside Keyla, then rubbed the shoulders of the princess just her gloomy puppet gently.
As a mother, she could not bear to see Keyla had to fret over the fate of the family.
But what else to do? Circumstances seemed to force Keyla to be in a difficult position like now.
"Daddy, is there any progress, Mom? asked Keyla while tightening up the position with her mother.
Rita's mother shook her head, her face was saddened with anxiety.
"Please wait a little while, the doctor who treated your father will come to do a further examination" replied Rita's mother with her head bowed.
This woman knew her husband's condition was getting worse, but she didn't know how to tell Keyla, so she chose to let the doctor explain.
After that the atmosphere in the nursery became quiet, the two mothers and children were immersed in their respective thoughts.
Shortly after the doctor who handled Keyla's parents came, he immediately did an examination.
Finished with her work, the doctor walked up to Keyla and her mother.
"Mom can come to my room? There are some important things that I have to say," the man in the white coat told Rita's mother.
The deg!
Keyla's heart was pounding, he was sure the doctor would explain something urgent, so he asked to talk in his room.
Keyla and her mother stared at each other for a while. Sadness was evident in the eyes of both of them.
"You're the one coming, Key. After all, I don't understand what the doctor will say, let the mother here just take care of your father," Rita's mother told her daughter.
"Alright, Mom," said Keyla.
He then followed from behind, to the doctor's office.
"Please sit down, Miss." The middle-aged doctor who owned the shady eyes was kindly welcome.
Keyla nodded.
"Thank you, Doc" said Keyla, sitting on a chair at the doctor's desk.
"Miss, with a heavy heart I must deliver. Currently the health of your parents can not be handled with dialysis, we have to perform kidney transplant surgery as soon as possible." The doctor began to explain carefully.
"It just so happens that the hospital has found a suitable donor for the patient. We've done the X-Ray test to find out the condition of the donor, his kidneys are very healthy."
"We have also conducted blood type matching tests between donors and patients as recipients, plus human leukocyte antigen typing (HLA typing) checks, all are suitable."
Keyla closed her mouth tightly, opening her ears wide while listening to the doctor's lengthy explanation.
"Now it's just a matter of waiting for the approval of the patient's family. After that, kidney transplant surgery can be done immediately." The doctor ended his explanation.
"What's the cost of the operation, Doc?" asked Keyla in a soft voice.
"The cost of this kidney transplant cost 750 million. However, it would be nice if Miss prepared more money, in preparation for unexpected expenses. So I suggest Miss provide a billion dollars just in case," the Doctor advised.
Hearing the doctor mention the number one billion, making Keyla like struck by lightning in broad daylight.
'One billion? Where should I find that much money?' lirih Keyla in heart.
For Keyla, that kind of money is nominal which is almost impossible to provide.
He was pensive, his eyes glaring far away, emitting a hard-to-understand highlight.
"Eh, yes, Doc. Sorry," said Keyla surprised, when the doctor looked at him fixedly.
"Miss please think carefully. After that Miss can contact me, but I suggest to as soon as possible. For the good of the patient himself," said the doctor, who answered a nod by Keyla.
"Good, Doc. Then excuse me first" said Keyla.
He immediately left the room after getting a nod.
Keyla walked with shaky steps, his mind drifting far away, just because of the nominal one billion that the doctor said earlier.
That's a lot of nominal, not even Keyla has seen with her own eyes.
Keyla arrived at her father's nursery, she saw Rita's mother sitting restless, as if impatiently waiting for the news that Keyla would bring from the doctor's room.
"What did the doctor say?" rita's mother asked as soon as she saw her daughter back.
"Doctor said, I need to get on the surgical table immediately, for a kidney transplant, Mom," Keyla said in a voice that sounded raucous.
Keyla hugged her mother tightly.
"The doctor said, the cost of the operation is a billion," Keyla said again, accompanied by tears that now began to flow on her cheeks.
Rita's mother is increasingly bowed down when she hears the explanation from her daughter, providing one billion dollars is something that is impossible for their family.
Rita's mother took off Keyla's embrace. She sat back in the chair beside her husband's bed, grabbed by the weakly lying man's hand and held him tightly.
While Keyla followed and stood beside his mother, he stared at the father who lay sick with slashed feelings
Rita's mother turned to the side, "Honey, today you have afternoon classes, right? Go to college!"
Keyla nodded, he took the bag and said goodbye to the mother to go to college.
Keyla left the ward with a shunt step. His body and mind were tired, his eyes looked swollen due to lack of sleep, every two days Keyla and his mother had to take turns staying up late to accompany the father who was very sick.
Keyla walked hurriedly towards the front gate of the hospital. Soon the online taxi he ordered came, and he immediately got into the car.
"Come, Mr. .. please be a little quick, yes!" pinta Keyla, she's afraid she's late for class.
"Good, Non. Appropriate, right?" ask the driver to make sure.
"Yes sir, please hurry up, yes" Keyla repeated.
The driver immediately drove his car quickly, heading to one of the famous universities in Jakarta.
Today Keyla does not want to be late for a second, because the lecturer of the class presenter this afternoon is the most annoying lecturer on the campus.
After traveling for about half an hour, Keyla's car arrived in front of the campus gate. He immediately got off after paying the taxi fare.
"Heemm .. almost!" keyla muttered inwardly as she looked at the watch in her hand.
Keyla took a deep breath, then exhaled quickly, it was fortunate that he was not too late.
Furthermore the beautiful girl who did not care much about this appearance ran small towards her class.
After her class was over, Keyla wanted to go to the cafeteria, her stomach was starving to be filled.
However, just a few steps away from class, a voice called out in a high tone, "Keyla, come here you!"
Seriate.
