Liberoses
#3: Meet

“Do you panic?”

WHAT'S?!

🌵

I stepped down from the car, walking towards my house. The family home I left behind a long time ago. Feeling tired of meeting some people. Panting and uncomfortable.

“Papa..” my murmur hangs after entering the family living room. Papa and Mama were already sitting on the sofa while looking at me expectantly.

“Kay, have you arrived? Come on son, here sit.” Papa welcomed me, he got up from the sofa and took me to sit down.

“Pa—”

“Kay, Papa hope you can accept this decision. Papa was really desperate. Sorry papa ya son?” Cut Papa, he looked me in the eye. I poured a cup of tea next to my dad.

“What do you mean?” Saying stammered.

Justjust please. Don't match me, pa.

“Nak,” Papa holds my hand. He gently stroked my hand.

It's been a long time, I don't feel this affection.

“It's been a long time huh we didn't meet?” Mama arrived to say. He looks distant.

“But mama also did not know that we should meet because of this situation.” I looked at Mama with a forced smile.

“Ma? This why?”

“Kay,” Papa again looked at me seriously, I gulped my hard-earned saliva. My mouth was open to talk but he interrupted immediately.

“Sorry. You must be married to the owner of the company De Gavellyn.”

🌵

I sat with an empty look in the back seat of papa's car. My eyes shone as if they had no life.

Actually true. The world has never looked to me for kindness. I murmured in my heart.

My leg's limp. And I didn't know I had to react to anything. It's like it's better to die than this.

I should have just had an accident.

“Kay, we have arrived.” Mama broke the silence. The car stopped right in front of the door of the magnificent luxury restaurant lobby.

They walked first so I just had to follow from behind.

Kay, is this your life?

Kay chose to sit in the restaurant's original chair. He stared blankly at the quiet magnificent restaurant.

“So this, Kaylina Grace?” Kay looked up spontaneously hearing that cold voice. His eyes instantly met the sharp eagle eyes staring at him.

Justjust please. Not her.

🌵

I threw a small pebble into the river in front of him. His eyes were blankly staring ahead. Highlight the emptiness that does not imply life in it.

Pluck up!

“Do you reject me?” The man's voice was no longer even ignored. The guy clucked while throwing pebbles so loud that it made a loud enough sound.

Pluck!!

“Can I refuse you?” My reply with no interest. The guy was sitting in the grass. Next to me.

“I hate love. Love is a lie. Why would I love someone who would end up hurting myself again? For what, sir?” Without realizing it, the man with Light blonde hair turned his head while smiling. Smirks.

“I think we're the same.” Lirih the guy.

“I hate love. Love is self-defeating. And loving someone is the most intentional wound-making.” Add that guy.

“Then why did you accept this wedding?”

The man picked up a pebble and threw it again.

🌵

“So this, Kaylina Grace.” The guy said a little, but didn't sit down.

“Master, this is my son, Kaylina Grace.” papa said as he got up from sitting while bowing respectfully, so did mama.

But I sat still. The man raised one eyebrow in astonishment.

“You can eat only.” The guy's orders are absolute. Mom and Dad nodded while sitting back down. The guy still glanced at Kay who was unmoved.

“And you, come with me.” His orders to Kaylina.
