Above the Sky

A week has passed, but there has been no progress on Audie's recovery. Only his small wounds seemed to dry up and leave a slight mark on his face. Audie has not received permission to go home from the doctor.

There is also a good thing for Audie to stay in this hospital, because as long as he was sick, Xavier always came to see him, even though in the end Jack came messing up.

Audie exhaled her breath, then her gaze turned to the window. There was nothing he could do during the day, so boring. Linda also could not accompany him because he wanted to go home just to bring Audie equipment, such as changing clothes of the girl. While Irfan could not leave his lecture hours, Xavier had to carry out his duties as a lecturer, and Audie's friends were certainly studying at school.

It's all very boring for Audie, life in the hospital is like a prisoner in prison. Not free to do anything and tormented all the time.

The girl in the patient uniform looked back at the wall clock, making sure that soon her friends would come to break the silence.

On the other hand, Xavier shouted furiously as the fish he had just dipped in a frying pan filled with hot oil exploded like a bomb. Slowly, he stepped back after dodging, running very far out of the house for fear that the fish he fried exploded.

His left hand slowly flipped the half-empty fish, his face facing back with a frightened look. His lips recited the do'a, hoping that the fish would no longer explode, which forced him to run out of the house.

I don't know what happened to Xavier, he was very professional when it came to cooking vegetables. But when it was his turn to seafood, he gave up or it took a very long time just to create edible dishes. Yes, creating dishes that can be eaten, not dishes with perfect delicacy.

Xavier exhaled, he lamented the half-snarled fish that was now on the plate. He nodded, cursing himself. There was no one in the house that he could ask for help. A lufy? Of course the young woman was struggling with her duties in the office.

There is red spinach on the table, chicken, fish and fruit salad. Xavier just put it in the lunchbox and immediately rushed to the hospital. Xavier's car rolled down the busy Surabaya city highway during the day. Arriving at the hospital he parked the black bugatti and went to where Audie's room was treated.

Xavier's steps are halted when his neutrality meets that of a man wearing a school uniform. The next instant his gaze turned to the hands of that guy who was pinching something.

Xavier held up the lunchbox in his hand parallel to his chest, as well as a guy named Jack, he lifted the pizza box he was carrying into the air and looked back at Xavier flat.

Without a second thought Xavier ran towards where Audie's room was being cared for. Jack who did not want to lose occasionally kicked Xavier's leg so that the man was left far behind.

"Review you, Jack. I want to go in first..." Xavier Shouts.

"Sir Xavier who stepped aside, I'm the first to arrive at this hospital, it's better that Mr. Xavier just give up."

And here they are, right on the doorstep of the ward, ahead of each other. Inappropriately Jack pulls Xavier's shirt from behind, while Xavier blocks Jack's body from entering the ward.

Audie who was lying in a gurney complete with his patient uniform watched the two creatures with a gaping mouth.

"Let me in, Mr. Xavier!" Jack's rebelling.

"Can't, take off my shirt!" no one relented, neither Jack nor Xavier were both alike, equally stubborn.

Audie snorted, he rotated his eyeballs. A week ago, the two men took care of her. But one thing that makes Audie irritated, the two always fight even just because of trivial problems.

"SIR XAVIER, JACK..." Call Audie raise the octave of her voice, but it's quite gentle when it comes to Xavier's name.

In that instant they also fell silent, then entered the ward in a state of getting along as if nothing had happened.

Xavier approached Audie doubtfully, avoiding eye contact with the girl, "this, I brought you breakfast." Xavier thrust out the lunchbox he was carrying.

Behind Xavier a guy clucked, then he nudged Xavier's shoulder quite hard. "It's Audie, I've brought you pizza."

"Pizza again?"

Jack nodded, "lo love pizza, right?"

Audie took a breath, "every day my taste is different, Jack. I have to eat pizza."

Audie shook her head a few times, then she received Jack's pizza when Audie found out how sad the look on the guy's face was.

Then Audie turned to pay attention to the breakfast Xavier gave, the girl smiled broadly, it was like being brought breakfast by her own boyfriend. "Thank you, Mr. Xavier!"

Jack snorted, "just thanks to Mr Xavier doang, Audie? Same I don't? Yuda said well, girls are not fair."

Audie smiled wryly, "yes, Jack. Thanks too!"

"I-This is what, Mr Xavier?" ask Audie with her innocent face.

Xavier looked down embarrassed, but he had no intention of dispelling his authority. Jack laughed giggling. Until Xavier's eyes were sharp looking at Jack, then the guy would shut up while covering his smile.

"Th-That's..." Xavier paused, he was nervous. He should not have put the fish that is no longer perfect in the dining box, "if you do not like to throw it away. There's chicken and red spinach, I make sure the other dishes are delicious, you eat that."

Audie chuckles, but Xavier doesn't like to be laughed at. With a smile still engraved on Audie's lips, he actually took the fish and tasted it. It feels so good! No, not the delicious fish, but because there is Xavier intervention in the cuisine.

Jack's gaze looked at Xavier cynically, it could be that his presence there was not considered. Audie is only concerned about Xavier, focus on Xavier, always Xavier never himself.

With ravenous, Audie tasted all the dishes there. Neither the pizza that Jack gave nor the breakfast that Xavier gave. His little stomach today is friendly, the proof is that Audie's stomach can hold all that food. Jack and Xavier just mutely do not want to comment, not a rare thing anymore when seeing the figure of a girl as beautiful as Audie can spend that much food.

After Audie's stomach is full, he is now walking around the area around the hospital using the help of a wheelchair and of course also with the help of Xavier and Jack.

"Keep Mr. Xavier, let me push the Audie wheelchair."

They were the ones pushing the girl's wheelchair. Next to Jack's hand and the other to Xavier's.

"You should stay away, Audie doesn't need your help here. Audie's accident resulted from me, and I just want to be in charge of taking care of her until she recovers."

Audie's ears that had been hot to hear the quarrel between the two of them could only resign, Audie was silent in a wheelchair, it felt like an inanimate object.

And here they are, under a shady tree in the back of the hospital. The land is slightly open, until some houses and highways look so clear. The air was fresh when he hit Audie's face, he had been locked in a room full of drugs for a long time.

Around them many kinds of flowers blooming colorful like rainbows. Audie inhaled the air greedily, to just calm her mind.

Xavier sits on an ornamental grass right next to the left of the Audie, while Jack is on his back to the right of the Audie. Audie's gaze glazed over, he was far away staring at the blue sky there which was swept away without any clouds. Currently, he has two special men. But the difference is, one man he loves but does not love, and another man who loves him but he does not love.

"Audie..." Call Jack softly, his face facing the sky with both hands tucked under his head.

"Why?"

"Lo have no dreams?" jack asked suddenly which made Audie reflexively look at him.

Audie's two beautiful brows furrowed, "why are you suddenly like that?"

"Javab!" jack looked at the blue sky.

For a few seconds Audie was silent, then she nodded slowly. "Gue wants to be free, I want to fly with my loved ones, I want to walk on the beach while holding hands, enjoy the sun sinking in the western horizon there without any burden."

"That's all?" jack asked, while Xavier just kept silent, not digesting every sentence that came out of Audie's mouth.

Audie nodded, "Yes, that's all, that's it." he said.

"Lo's dream is too simple."

"Who said simple? There's nothing I can walk with, so the dream won't come true at any time, Jack."

Jack exhaled, he glanced at xavier for a few seconds. The guy knew, the guy Audie meant was Xavier himself. But unfortunately, Xavier was never sensitive to it.

Xavier's face was flat, he had a hard time giving any kind of expression. No one can read his mind. He was too difficult to achieve, but Audie liked the stars even though it could not be achieved by hand. Because the star always shines and gives beauty, that's why, Audie does not want to take it off. It may be true said Arini, that the stars of the sky and the stars of the sea are not destined to unite.
