Accident

No passing vehicles or even earth creatures passed by. Along the empty streets, it rained very hard. Only Xavier's car passed, his left hand was holding a mobile phone, receiving a call from someone, while his right hand was busy twirling the car's steering according to the turn of the road.

"You're okay, aren't you, Lea?" the look on that worried face could explain how he felt at this moment.

Xavier checked the screen of his phone, made sure that the call was not over, and then attached it back to his earlobe. "Hello, Lea! If you're okay, please answer me. Don't just him." There was no telling from there, just a rude gasp that sounded like someone was experiencing asthma symptoms.

"Hello, Lea! Answer me, Lea!" the breathless voice had now turned into a person who was vomiting. Xavier increasingly drove his car above average, even he had failed to focus on driving. The rain ahead was reluctant to fade, the streets began to look blurry as the dew spread everywhere.

"Aishh..." Xavier fizzed as his phone dropped under the car seat. For a few seconds Xavier made sure of the road ahead. It's blank! There was no one or even a vehicle in the way. After making sure it was safe, Xavier's car continued to go, his body lowered while twirling the car's steering wheel, while his left hand searched for the small square object down there.

Xavier's breath was relieved after finding his phone, but as his net returned to stare straight ahead, he faintly saw from the windshield of a girl's car suddenly running, and he was looking straight ahead, do not look left and right before crossing the road.

For a fraction of a second the body floated in the air until it rolled on the roof of the car, landed hard on the asphalt, the impact of the head like the sound of a stone being crushed, he said, his body rubbed until the blood pooled mixed with rainwater. In that instant, the girl was unconscious.

Xavier's heart was weakened, his body was shaking violently, his breathing was tight. What he had just seen happened so quickly, just a glance like a lightning bolt that was currently grabbing.

Slowly, Xavier ventured into the rearview mirror. His eyes faintly saw the corpse lying on the asphalt far back there. The body was blown away to many meters away. Xavier's hand trembled with his fingers still perched on the steering wheel of the car, he was worried, worried that the girl was all right. The thing he was most afraid of was, if the girl was no longer alive. The events that passed in just a few seconds managed to make Xavier stiffen, even he did not have the guts to get down from the car.

Xavier's breath was hunting, his gaze sweeping clean every corner of the night. No one, just him. It crossed his mind to escape before anyone could see him. But, was it possible that Xavier was that lofty, and was it possible that he was not responsible for what he had done?

With his body still tense, hands trembling not because of the cold of the night, Xavier ventured down from the car and approached a figure far behind his car. Xavier's teeth were bluffing in shivering, when he saw that the blood had pooled in the streets mixed with rainwater, the girl's body was face down, her long hair had covered her face.

Slowly, with hesitant steps he approached. The first thing he did was check the girl's pulse. There was a slight sense of relief when his pulse was still beating despite being extremely weak.

With a still frightened and half-dead, the rain growing heavier, Xavier turned the girl's body on his back. Xavier's heart was beating more and more, his body was almost uprooted when both his legs were shaking, his gaze was blurry.

"AUDIE?" Xavier's shout was no less violent than the lightning strike in the sky there. Without thinking for a long time he leaned on the tiny, helpless figure, blood ceaselessly flowing in the injured body and in the cracked head of Audie. The girl's lips were pale like a dead body that was no longer alive. Audie's body was so soft as a lump of boneless meat.

Xavier ran with his foot down thousands of reluctant raindrops to fade. Audie is dying in her arms. For the second time Audie was forced to face death.

Quickly Xavier drove his car down the highway with above average speed. Audie is in the back seat. Worry and anxiety were enveloping Xavier's heart. Fear Audie for nothing, fear Audie is not saved, and fear losing Audie even though Xavier does not like the girl.

15 Minutes from the crash site, Xavier has arrived at the hospital. Xavier carried Audie's body into the hospital, not long after two sisters came to bring a gurney. Xavier's steps were blocked when the emergency room door was closed, not allowing him to enter.

Xavier's body and hair were still wet, even water droplets had splattered on the hospital floor. Xavier was silent for a moment, recalling the tragic incident a few minutes ago. It was just an instant, and it scared Xavier to death. Now he just has to wait and leave everything to the doctor.

Xavier's heart was in turmoil, not to mention that he was also worried about Alea. Xavier is eager to leave the hospital and go to Alea to make sure the woman he loves is okay. But it's also impossible for Xavier to leave Audie alone, which is where the girl is risking her life inside.

Even to contact Audie's parents, Xavier did not have her contact number. Not sure what he had to do, Xavier just slid off, walked east and then west, just like that over and over again but still he could not think in a precarious state like this.

Until a few minutes Xavier waited until the doctor in white clothes who handled Audie out of the white room.

"What about the doctor, is he okay? He's okay, isn't he a doctor?" xavier said he was hunting down the doctor with thousands of questions.

"He had severe bleeding, a crack in the head and one of his hands suffered a broken bone. But you don't have to worry, we've prepared blood that's suitable for his blood type."

"W-Can I see it now, doc?" the worried look on Xavier's face did not diminish in the slightest.

The doctor nodded, then he immediately rushed off to deal with the other patients. Without a second thought Xavier immediately entered the ward where Audie was being treated. On seeing the figure of the little girl who had been disturbing her life was weak, there were many hoses installed everywhere.

As Xavier slowly approached, he stared at Audie's unconscious face. The girl's breath was clearly heard sweeping her eardrum, there was a sense of relief when she found out that Audie could still be saved.

Xavier's head lowered deeply, he felt guilty. When seeing Audie's terrible state, Xavier could not forgive himself. He has hurt Audie, and he also hurt her physically. Perfect was already the wound that Xavier had given to the girl. Xavier sat on a chair that had been provided right next to the gurney. His eyes did not turn to look fixed on the face of Audie who looked so peaceful in his coma.

Time passed so quickly, the clock had shown two o'clock in the morning. Audie's wiggly fingers give a slight movement, indicating that he has been awakened. Audie's vision blurred, his eyes twitching to adjust the light of the room's light bulb. No need for Audie to ask where he is now, the smell of drugs and the room nuanced white has succeeded in making Audie know that he is in the hospital. Audie felt a pain in his head, while in his speech there was already a bandage attached.

Audie's gaze stared clockwise at the wall. Audie felt her stomach so heavy, as if something was pressing down on her. Audie noticed the figure of the young man sitting next to her. The man's head rested on the gurney while his right hand fell on Audie's stomach.

Xavier thanked Audie when he heard, "you.... You're okay?"

Hearing that question Audie just shook her head.

Xavier looked down, staring at his wet black shoes, "pardon me, I should have been more careful when driving. I'm really sorry, but I promise I'll take responsibility and take care of you until you get well." Just this time Audie heard Xavier say softly to her. Is it possible that Audie would have to be hurt like this for that guy to care about her?

"It's okay, Mr. Xavier! I thank you for this wound on my body."

Xavier's eyes squinted, not understanding what Audie meant. "At least, with a wound on my body this can minimize the wound in my heart." Connect to Audie later.

Xavier was silent, only silence was there. Xavier's eyes looked back at Audie's face that looked so pale. "May I get your parents' contact number? I need to tell them to come see you soon."

Again Audie just shook his head slowly, "no need, Mr. Xavier! How could I have told them to come here while I was trying to avoid."

Xavier could not say what, he did not want to ask why Audie avoided his own family, because the matter was privacy. "Are you hungry? I'll make you some porridge!" bargain Xavier diverts the conversation.

No need to wait for an answer from Audie, Xavier immediately rushed away. Not long after he came back with a bowl of porridge.

Xavier cleared his throat several times, trying to interact with Audie via telepathy. Audie's eyes squinted, she did not understand what the man in front of her meant. "B-Open your mouth," Xavier's orders hesitated, he spoke to Audie but his gaze shifted everywhere.

Audie gave a smile, then opened her mouth according to Xavier's interruption. There was something tickling inside Audie's stomach, even the pain of her wounds suddenly disappeared just by looking at the beautiful carving of Xavier's face in such a close distance.

"Sir Xavier!" Call Audie after one mouthful she has swallowed and ready to digest in her stomach. Xavier just cleared his throat not wanting to make a sound.

"Why does Mr. Xavier hate me?" audie asked suddenly which made both Xavier's beautiful eyebrows intertwine.

"Who said I hate you?"

Audie let out a long breath, "it was evident that Mr. Xavier did not like me, Mr. Xavier also always avoided me. And... Mr. Xavier also pretended not to recognize me." When he said the last sentence, he looked down deeply.

"Not liking doesn't mean I hate you, does it? I avoided just because I wanted to take care of someone's heart." Xavier. "And I pretended not to know you was wrong, because I had never met you before."

Audie only hissed slowly, but Xavier did not have time to hear it. Audie knew, the heart that Xavier meant was Alea. Who else if not that woman?

"Lantas, how can Mr. Xavier like me, love me and want me as much as I want Mr. Xavier?"

Xavier clucked, "nothing. You just have to be quiet and not chase. Don't make me feel uncomfortable anymore. You and I are a long distance away. Better focus on learning Audie, now you are approaching the National Examination. I wonder, why don't you think about your future."

"I think about it Mr. Xavier, that's why I'm after Mr. Xavier." Audie.

Xavier's forehead is faintly wrinkled.

"I mean... Because Mr. Xavier is my future." Clarify Audie.

"Argggh..." Audie groaned in pain as Xavier bravely clenched his forehead, fortunately not right in the wound of the girl.

"Be quiet, even in a state of dying like this you still have time to act."

Audie just looked down lethargic, not wanting to chim in.

...🧚🏻‍♀️🧚🏻‍♀️🧚🏻‍♀️...

...You dodge when I get close, I chase even when you're not running. There are no words between us, love each other, love each other, and love each other. Because I was basically the one who fought, I walked alone and I was the one who was trying to get. As for you, you just have to wait until I'm tired. ...
