Sarah was still looking at the gift box given along with the surprise birthday of her husband earlier.

"It's a cactus, right?"

"Dear, it's a cactus."

"Then, who gave you this gift? Very funny..."

"Well! I even forgot that you still don't remember the history of our meeting... Especially with the whole story of my life that I've shared with you..."

"Hmmm... Was right. So, is he someone important to you?" ask Sarah who is still observing the tiny thing.

"The person who gave me this and the only person who knew about my favorite cake - besides my parents and Paul - was Angel, my ex-wife" said Jaka, who then closed the box.

At this moment, the smile that had been engraved on Sarah's face slowly faded away.

"A—I don't know if you've been married before." replied Sarah in a slightly quivering voice.

He was shocked to hear that explanation. The husband she had always loved, although not with her previous memory, had another woman. Not just as a boyfriend, but as a legitimate wife.

Without him noticing, a single tear had flowed down his cheek.

"Darling, don't cry... It's nothing! I've forgotten it!"

"How can I not cry? You never told me about this. Now, all of a sudden the woman comes to surprise you and brings back memories of your past!" obviously Sarah again.

"Darling, I told you about Angel before I even told you, you already know about my personal life. You just accidentally forgot everything... I swear to God, there's only you in my life right now..." Obviously Jaka who has now hugged his wife tightly.

Sarah knew everything her husband said was true. But for some reason, she kept crying. Not to mention the subsiding of Sarah's cry, a call came in on Jaka's phone.

The call was from a new number not listed on his phone. Jaka then pressed the volume button to turn off the ringing sound of his phone.

"Why not get caught?" sarah asked confusedly.

She moved away from her husband's embrace.

"Only calls are not important. What's it gonna do to answer?" ask Jaka back.

"You always have been... Every new number that calls you, you say it doesn't matter... What if it's important and Urgent?" Sarah doesn't want her logic broken.

"Everybody who knows me already knows what my nature is. If it's really important, they'll text you first, tell you it's their phone number..."

"I didn't know it had to be..."

"My dear doesn't know... You just forgot." Jaka kissed the top of his wife's head.

A few moments later, a message came in.

📩Still as before. Hasn't changed. It's me, your beloved ex. Are you sure you won't answer my phone? There is something important I want to talk about. It's about your brother, Indra. (Angel)

After reading that message. Jaka's heart beats faster. He does not know why Angel can be traced with Indra.

What makes them interconnected? jaka Inward.

"Darling... Wh why? Is there a problem, huh? If you—"

"Ssthhh!! Just sec. I have to think." cut Jaka. He then moved out of the room. He sits by the pool. I don't know why his emotions suddenly went up.

Sarah, who was shocked by the change in her husband's attitude, could only waste a heavy breath.

The clock in the room shows eleven o'clock passing. The day that was supposed to be a happy day for her husband, it became like this.

Sarah decided to tell Paul about what happened this morning.

📨 Paul, your boss is in a bad mood because of this morning's surprise. I don't mean the surprise I made, I didn't even make anything. There was a woman named Angel who sent him a red velvet cake and a gift containing a cactus. I really don't understand what's going on here.

Sarah who was confused about what to do, finally lay down on the bed. He picked up his phone and started opening an online novel-reading app.

He wanted to escape for a moment from the chaos before him.

Hmmmmm... It's a Cruel Love novel, when's Up anyway? Hais... I can't be giniin... Nathan is cheating anyway!! Sarah was upset.

He went back to looking for the title of the novel that had been listed on his favorite.

"My Stiff Husband is Up! Hhmm, has there been progress yet huh? How long have you been trying to get married? Ha. ha. ha.. But if you remember Raka and Jelita, I like to laugh at myself..." Sarah is passionate about her world.

For a moment he forgot what was happening in the real world. If asked since when he started to prank reading novels online, he began to be interested because Sandra likes to read them in her spare time.

Sarah who was curious, finally joined to read the novels presented there. Sometimes he likes to laugh at himself, sometimes he gets angry himself, sometimes he holds back crying if reading novels that contain violence against women or if there is an affair.

"Eeemm... How's business? Are you done with your anger?" ask Sarah who seems to be asleep.

Jaka knew he had made a mistake by yelling at his wife earlier.

Sarah is back to fiddling with her phone. He took out the novel application and opened the incoming message. The message was from Paul. She did not want to open it in front of her husband. So he locked it.

Jaka, who felt ignored, immediately took Sarah's phone from the woman's hand.

"Eh?"

Jaka kissed his wife's lips, just as the woman raised her head in shock.

"I'm sorry... I snapped at you earlier."

Sarah did not answer that apology. She immediately hugged her husband.

"Are you okay?" Sarah ensures.

Jaka then pulled his wife closer and began to kiss her lips gently. A long, hot kiss.

Jaka knows his hunger can wait. But maybe not with their kids. With a heavy heart, he finished the kiss.

"We eat first, yuk.." invite Jaka who is ready to welcome the hand of the wife.
