Don't Take My Son

The cloudy morning hung in the sky, the usually bright sunlight now seemed to be lost in the dark clouds. Lika opened the window of her room, a cold wind began to blow, slowly drizzling began to descend. She glanced at her husband who was still sitting in front of her laptop, his face was not as usual, there was a look of sadness there. Lika slowly approached her husband.

"Papa..so what time will we meet with Mr. Martin?" Ask Lika.

"At 4pm..." Ricky replied briefly.

"Well...can you drive me to school? I'd like to monitor the teacher's performance and see how many people have enrolled in school this school year..." Take Lika. Ricky just nodded his head, then he closed his laptop.

They both went downstairs. Lia seemed to be holding Given, while Grandma was still sitting in her wheelchair while facing the TV, but her eyes were staring blankly. Kezia and Nando have been going to school since this morning. This morning everyone's face looks cloudy, including Given who began to fuss while in Lia's hold.

"Lia..give Given to me.I want to take her to school for a while..." Said Lika, Lia then handed Given to Lika's sling.

"You don't have a lecture today?" Ask Lika again.

"Next time at 10..." Answer Lia.

"Burhan's driving you?"

"Yes Brother..."

Lika walked over to her grandmother who was still sitting in her place.

"Sir.we want to go to school for a while..." Said Lika.

"Yes.be careful...." Grandma answered briefly.

After saying goodbye, Lika immediately got into her car, Ricky himself was driving it.

"Papa why? Since then you've always been grim.see.aura your face is contagious to everyone...." Said Lika starting the conversation.

"Don't know dear.I'm also confused to describe my feelings..." Ricky.

"Pour up all your feelings dear.if it can make you relieved.your burden is also my burden...." Lika. Then Ricky stopped his car to the side of the road.

"I'm.I'm.I'm afraid of losing Nando my son...." Ricky said. His eyes are starting to turn red. Lika held her husband's hand tightly.

Lika hugged her husband's face, while Given was on Lika's lap, Ricky buried his handsome face in Lika's chest, she started crying.

"I took care of Nando since childhood, I poured out all my affection for him.It is not easy for a man like me to take care of two children.now...just take away the kid I've worked so hard to raise...." Ricky. Lika stroked her husband's hair gently.

"I understand your feelings.we will face this together.yuk we walk again..I only briefly to school, after that we go home and get ready to meet with Mr. Martin..." Said Lika. Ricky nodded his head then immediately straightened his seat and drove back to school.

Lika and Ricky get into the school lobby, there is a large desk where the new student enrollment and several banners are standing , the teachers seemed busy taking care of the administration and welcoming parents of students who began to enroll their children to the new school.

"Hi Mr. Ricky..long time no see...why does your face look cloudy?" Bella asked with a smile. Ricky just turned his head for a while, then he refocused on Given who was now on his lap.

"Miss Bella..how? have you created an English curriculum?" Ask Lika diverts.

"Actually it is closed.but if there are still people applying and according to the criteria..why not?" Answer Lika.

"Well, tomorrow I'll come..." Answer Lika. Then Bella immediately left them just like that.

After the school business is over, Lika and Ricky rush out of school and return home. While at home, the atmosphere was quiet, the children had not returned to school, Lia had left for college, only to see Grandma who was talking with Mbok Narti.

"You guys are home? Eat it. The food is ready..." Said Grandma who saw the arrival of Lika and Ricky. Lika immediately put the sleeping Given in her baby box. Then he took Ricky to the dining room.

"Father eat a lot yes.after this you rest...." Said Lika while taking a plate and putting rice and various side dishes and vegetables that have been cooked Mbok Narti.

"Yes baby..." Answer Ricky lirih. They eat together.

"Let's let me and Burhan pick up the kids...Papa's at home just the same Given rest..."

"No. I'm going to pick up Kezia and Nando..." Kill Ricky.
