26. Deals

The light indicating that the operation is underway, is still on. Though it has been three hours, but until now the operation is not over.

Akhtar with his already messy appearance looked agitated and very anxious. He unceasingly walked to and fro right in front of the door of the operating room that was handling Arumi. He did not expect his meeting with his wife would be as dramatic as this.

Akhtar begins to assume that Arumi's accident is due to him. It is likely that Arumi has been in the cafeteria for a long time and it is unexpected that she heard the conversation with Bella.

Bella is Akhtar's ex-lover whom he once loved very much. However, for some reason Bella even left her and chose to marry with someone else. Until they meet again when Bella happens to be visiting her friend who is admitted to the hospital where Akhtar works.

At first he did not want to accept Bella's invitation to ask him to coffee together, because it felt bad if he refused to finally accept it. And he wouldn't expect Bella to say that until Arumi heard it and felt hurt.

Ah, though today Akhtar intends to pick Arumi up to go home to them, but he did not expect it to happen like this.

"How's Arumi doing?" ask Beno. He just came with Dania.

When he heard the news of Arumi's accident, he was also so shocked and immediately rushed to the hospital. Today Beno is off so he is at home all day accompanying his pregnant wife.

"No idea, it has been three hours of operation but until now it is not over" replied Akhtar. His eyes turned red like he was holding something back so as not to come out.

Beno and Dania just saw the appearance of Akhtar so chaotic like this. His hair was disheveled, worries were clearly written on his face and there was also a deep sense of regret.

"Why did it happen like this anyway, Tar? You fought with him?" ask Dania.

"No Nia, I just met him earlier and ended up like this. Hicks.hiks.."

"Keep assured, everything will be fine" Beno said. He tries to find his best friend.

Akhtar was no longer able to speak, he just silently stared at the door of the operating room that never opened. He rebelled and went in to see his wife.

However, before that happened, the door of the operating room was opened. Akhtar immediately approached a nurse who had just come out. "How's my wife doing?" ask the impatient Akhtar.

The nurse took off her mask. "Arumi's mother was bleeding and nearly bled out, now we need blood with AB+ as soon as possible."

"Isn't there in the blood bank?" ask Beno.

"Sorry sir, AB+'s blood type is currently empty."

"It's okay, if it's suitable you also can not give it because you are pregnant" said Akhtar.

"Sorry I can't either, my blood type doesn't match either. What about you?"

"I'm even whose husband can't help her." Akhtar bowed in annoyance.

"Dania you accompany Akhtar here, I will look for him elsewhere. You wait, I'll be right back."

Beno left quickly, without delay. He immediately searches for the same blood type as Arumi and must find it immediately.

The nurse also entered the operating room. Now Akhtar and Dania remain anxiously hopeful. Akhtar himself is still like a walking iron, he is very, very worried at the moment and he always prays for everything to go smoothly.

Shortly thereafter the operating room light suddenly went off, a sign the operation had ended. Didn't they say they needed blood? Akhtar's dismay grew, as the door of the operating room opened and a doctor treating Arumi also came out.

"Is everything going well?" ask Akhtar.

Like there was doubt on the doctor's face, as he was about to say something. However, however, he had to reveal the results.

"I'm sorry, we've tried our best..."

"What's? Can't be Doc?" with full of emotion and worry Akhtar pulled kra clothes of the doctor.

Akhtar was surprised to hear the doctor's statement to make him stagger back. He really doesn't believe all of those statements. But wait, did the doctor say he couldn't save both of them? Whatdoes thatmean?

"What does it mean that doctors can't save both of them?" ask Akhtar.

"Sorry sir, it looks like the patient is pregnant and the gestational age is estimated to be 5 months."

"What's? How is that possible..."

Akhtar fell down with regret and guilt. He didn't hurt if he was going to be a father. But it was just a dream. Now he has lost the person he loved so much and even his new-known son.
