LARA IS KARA

LARA IS KARA
Teak Forest

The teak forest where I stand now is a teak forest that has not been taken care of by its owner for a long time. Although quite close to the houses of the residents, this teak forest is full of lush bushes. Not to rule out the possibility there are also various kinds of wild animals inside here.

I and maybe even some villagers of Padang Lahu do not know who owns this teak forest. This forest has been around since I was born, abandoned since it was planted about 20 years ago.

If only I had not heard the sound of those gasping breaths, I would not have been able to enter into this terrifying forest. Let alone night, day though not necessarily I dare.

Now I'm really stuck here, in the middle of a very heavy rain. I had to decide quickly whether to continue the search for Wo Sari or rush home before the ghost of the steamer appeared.

If I go home, I've already gone into the woods far enough. If the Kukusan Ghost really existed, it was certain that he would appear because I was completely drenched in rain.

I try to think positive, rather than go home empty-handed I better continue the search for Wo Sari, I don't want him to be anything.

I continued to shout calling out his name, but strangely, the sound of gasping breath that previously sounded close, seemed to just disappear.

My mind is so chaotic, has Wo Sari fainted because it is not strong, or. lest she have met the Ghost Kukusan.

Panic immediately enveloped me, along with that, suddenly a very thick fishy smell. I was surprised, what is this smell exactly? Is this really just the smell of rainwater? But I've never smelled rain like this before.

My hair is goosebumps, and the fear of the appearance of Kukusan Ghost is getting stronger. Stumping he hasn't shown up yet, I have to rush to find shelter. Grandma said the only way to avoid the ghost of the steamer is to avoid the raindrops so as not to be exposed to the body.

I remember my childhood when my friend was forced to enter this forest. In this forest there is a small end that has been reot and old. It's possible that the bridge is still there, I need to find it before the ghost of the steamer appears.

I immediately ran as hard as I could to find the little tip. The fishy smell gets more concentrated, and the rain gets heavier. The tension and fear made the adrenaline in me rise. I'm sure someone's tailing me from behind, and I'm pretty sure it's the ghost of a steamer. I don't know where he's hiding, but I know that he could show up at any moment.

Fortunately, I soon found a small corner in a corner. The tip was overgrown with shrubs and damaged everywhere.

Without a second thought, I went straight into the dark corner. I tried to close the door of the already shaky edge with something so as not to be easily opened by the strong wind that blows.

In the darkness, I fumbled around looking for something that could be used to protect myself. There was nothing but a few boards that were weathered and useless. I feel desperate, but I have to find a way to survive.

On the way to find something that might be useful, I felt that something was touching my shoulder. I turned my head and realized that it was just a tree branch coming in from the broken roof hole. However, every touch seemed to make my hair goosebumps.

The feeling of being distracted grew stronger, and I decided to try to drive him away. With the board I had, I tried to repel the tree branch. But unfortunately, my efforts were unsuccessful, and the branch remained entwined on the roof of the corner. Out of annoyance and panic I unconsciously hit the roof of the corner with a wooden board in my hand.

BRAKKK !

Instantly the roof of the anjung collapsed and rainwater slowly entered the corner.

The mood of the hitch changed immediately. I felt a mysterious presence around me. I was trying to control my fear, but it seemed like this feeling could not be strongly faced. I'm sure that the Kukusan Ghost is near me.

I whispered softly, "Please go, I don't want to deal with you."

The sound of the strong wind further strengthened my fear. I felt like someone was staring at me, even though I couldn't see any figure. My body shivered, and cold sweat ran down my forehead.

I tried to stay calm, reassuring myself that it was just imagination and superstitious stories. But every second that passes makes me more and more convinced that something is not right in this corner. A cold sweat soaked my body, and the feeling of fear increasingly fused with the soul.

Suddenly, the thunderous sounds of thunder boomed in the sky, disguising the sound of footsteps outside the anjung. I almost screamed in fear, but I bit my lips to hold back the sound. It felt as if time had stopped, and I could only listen to the heartbeat getting louder.

As the lightning shone through the sky, I could see something outside the corner. A huge shadow was moving slowly closer.

His body was like a tangled cloth hanging down, with a face that was not clearly visible because it was hidden behind tangled tassels. His long hands touched every leaf and twig around him, leaving behind a ludicrous trail.

I don't know what else to do. Every movement felt slow and slow. I wanted to run, but my body couldn't move. I wanted to scream, but my voice was suffocating in my throat.
