After breakfast we go to the beach. Vano being the driver, I sat next to him. Mama and Papa sit in the back and squeeze each other. The two-hour journey was filled with mostly Mama's voice. I'm still lazy to talk a lot, I don't know.
We arrived at the beach. Papa immediately took one rental umbrella. And ordered some young coconut ice that seemed refreshing. Mama took Vano to seafood shopping. It seems like it was intentionally leaving me both with Papa. Mama realized my anger with Papa. The woman who gave birth to me was very sensitive.
“You're still mad at Papa Nak?” tanya Papa started the conversation. I just kept watching the waves run non-stop.
“Sorry, Papa must look selfish once in your eyes,” said papa while getting closer to the direction I sat. Embracing my shoulder in the firm grip of his hand.
“Papa take all the risks that will happen after handing you over to Vano unilaterally. Papa just wants you to be well taken care of, and nothing bad happens to you anymore.” Papa said.
“But Papa created a new problem for Lala, Pa. Papa knows how incompatible Lala is with Vano? We have been arguing since childhood. Now instead I have to live with Vano!” reply upset.
“Papa knows, Son. Papa knows you guys have been arguing since you were kids. But Papa also knows that Vano has liked you since he was a kid too. That Vano you find annoying is actually just looking for attention. There is no other man waiting for your attention as per Vano. No other man would dare to ask you directly to Papa as brave as Vano,-”
“Mantu number one..!" cut me to the words of Papa who keeps praising Vano. Papa laughs.
“Hate that you're the same? Then how did you guys live this whole life together?” tanya Papa did not stop laughing.
“How? want Lala to tell me? The story must have let Papa down, because Lala was trying to make Vano regret choosing Lala and divorcing Lala before the wedding was officially held," I told Papa honestly. He's a head girder.
“Is Vano still patient with you?” ask Papa. I nodded slowly. Yes, he is very patient. As if the stock of patience is mountain. I tried to be a shitty guy.
“Didn't that show the magnitude of his love for you, son? Papa knows being loved is delicious. It's better than loving. That's why Papa betrothed you to Vano, at least Papa left you the same person who really loves you,” said Papa.
He then told me that Vano had been caught carrying a picture of me in the dorm. Vano was willing to be punished for confessing his love to me right in front of Papa.
"Papa told him to stop loving you in the dorm. Vano firmly said he couldn't. Papa gave him a severe punishment at the time. He accepted it with great pleasure" Papa said.
"Papa thought he'd be kapok, apparently not. His love for you was even intact until he graduated and served here," Papa said looking away.
"But Lala doesn't love Pa, Lala can't accept him as a husband" I said.
“Receive him, Son. Wouldn't a kiss happen if neither side wanted it? Let alone the fondling until like that," said Papa while grimacing. Glancing at my neck which I had actually covered with a lot of foundation. I'm ashamed of myself. Crazy one!!! papa's eyes turned out sharp.
“Papa iihh...” I said shyly while standing up. Papa stood up and took my hand.
If you think Papa is selfish with me, but very selfish with Vano. Accepting Vano's love, knowing I didn't love him. To have Vano fight for himself to take my heart which is rooted in hating him. I don't know…. Vano is actually not too bad to be a friend. He's the one who wants to accept me for who I am. Even when I've been acting annoyingly to her. Should I try to accept it? Trying to love her too?
Vano and Mama playing with water. We play water like we forget age. Enjoy this impromptu holiday with joy. Lunch at the restaurant near the beach with a delicious seafood menu. Vano peeled the fried shrimp for me so I wouldn't bother eating it.
“Still,” I said girang.
“Enjoy, I know you're stupid and impatient. I'm afraid this shrimp head you swallow and hurt your mouth.” said Vano still sucks. He is basically a bitch!!! I'm looking at Vano. Mama laughed.
“Ayolah No, Papa has promoted you vigorously, you still behave like that. Be sweet from now on" Papa commented. Vano smiled shyly.
After lunch we went straight home. Papa slept on the street. He went back to Solo after this. So keep the energy on the road. Sure enough, until Vano's house they say goodbye. Me and Vano were immediately sprawled in their rooms.
I woke up almost magrib. Vano's room is tightly closed. I saw in the kitchen there was no rice, but Mama had bought a lot of seafood earlier. Some are left here. I also initiative to cook rice and make sambel onion nyontek on youtube. Vano came out of the room as I was noisy.
"Wow wow.you want one complex to know you are talking to your darling" he said with a laugh. I looked at him stupefiedly. She doesn't know if I want to learn to be a wife. Vano took a cloth wipe and folded it. Tuck under cobek. Sure enough his voice was muffled.
"You're the chef what are the real cops?" ask me while continuing my practice. Vano laughing.
"I'm just a cooking hobby. I used to snerecoke cooks at the parlour. I don't know, cooking is fun for me" Vano said.
"Replace? What parlour?" ask me while stopping. Severe also turned out to be like this. Especially for me who rarely hold kitchen tools. Vano took a swipe and replaced me. His hands deftly heated a bit of oil over teflon.
"My parents were one of the donors of the little orphanage. Accommodating some abandoned children. I grew up with the orphanage's son, baby," Vano said. I'm a mangosteen.
"And I know I'm actually an adopted son to both of my parents. Even if they don't say it. It hurts a little. Know but not be told, curious also with my biological family," continued Vano bitter. I gawked for a moment.
"Yes, I'm a lucky peasant who got an outpouring of their affection" Vano said again, looking at my face. I know he's not confident. He's become melow. I don't know why I hugged him. Vano returned my embrace by rubbing my back.
"You've been great so far. No need to be so. Either the children pick up or their biological children still love you. And I judge you by your personality, whatever the child wants I don't care" I said, leaning comfortably against Vano's chest. She dyed my hair with love.
"Thank you, you made my self-confidence multiply, dear" said Vano.
