Chapter 16 - At the Hospital

Waitaminute! didn't I hear wrong? this girl is getting married to my sister?" Selena spoke up to cut off Mr. Sahid and Aliya's conversation.

"Yes, why?" ask Amir.

"Hey, Alex! aren't you married to this girl?"

Selena ruffled her waist with a sharp gaze looking at Alex.

Selena's words made Amir and Mr. Sahid immediately shocked and wide-eyed. Their eyes were on Aliya and Alex now, waiting for an answer.

"Is that really my son?" tanya Mr. Sahid slowly approached Aliya.

Duh how is this, why should there be a magic granny Selena anyway here?

Aliya looked at Alex.

"Aliya? are you really married to this guy?" Amir asked and waited for an answer similar to Mr. Sahid's.

"Umm.. I, me, and how to explain it, yes I'm married to him," said Aliya.

"But..." Alex stared at Aliya, thinking she would tell him the truth, but instead she continued her lie.

Amir felt like lightning in broad daylight that grabbed him and immediately made him limp for a moment. He put his ass on the couch and looked at Aliya in disbelief. The girl who had been her motivation to have an athletic body and police work, was married to someone else.

"When did you get married?" ask Mr. Sahid.

"A week ago," said Aliya and Alex together. They also did not expect to say those words at the same time. All they remember a week ago was their encounter during a bank robbery.

"What's? so you ran away from home just to marry this guy?" Mr. Sahid points to Alex.

Aliya answered her father's question with a nod.

Suddenly Mr. Sahid felt a pain that ran through his chest and fell slowly into unconsciousness. He had a heart attack at the time.

Panic struck Aliya's face, who immediately begged Amir to immediately call an ambulance.

Mr Sahid was rushed to the city hospital as the ambulance arrived.

"Why do you have to answer your father's question, anyway?" alex asked in an annoyed tone as he drove Aliya to the hospital following his father from the back of the ambulance.

"Yes, the end has already been Selena said it, after all I do not want to marry Amir," said Aliya.

"Didn't that cop look perfect?"

"But he's my best friend, and I can't marry the man I already consider a big brother, I don't know how disgusting it would sound if I married Amir" Aliya said.

Alex glanced at Aliya's face from the rearview mirror, I don't know what feeling perched in his heart. When Aliya said she did not want to marry Amir. Suddenly the thin smile just appeared at the corner of his lips while focusing on driving.

Both arrived at the hospital and immediately waited in front of the Emergency Installation room. Mr. Sahid is already in the room and receiving treatment.

Amir follows along with Selena to Aliya and Alex.

"I'm his son" Aliya said.

"Please take care of the administrative costs of this hospital, the patient will be transferred to the treatment room for further medical action" said the nurse while giving a piece of patient registration paper to Aliya.

Aliya looked at the paper, then looked at Alex.

"Aliya, you want to use my money?" Amir offered help.

"Ummm.. how ya..."

Alex immediately pulled Aliya's arm and led her towards the administration desk.

"What do you want?" ask Aliya.

"Wait here! I'll take the money for your father's payment" Alex said, then headed to his car.

Alex always carries some stash of money under the seat of his car. He always used the money to help the elderly as well as children who were struggling with medical expenses when he met one of them.

Shortly thereafter, Alex returned with a hundred bills with the highest nominal in his hand. The banknote he placed on the administrative desk. Aliya stared in disbelief at this handsome monster beside her.

After successfully managing the administrative costs Aliya waited for Mr. Sahid in his treatment room with Alex. Amir and Selena are back.

"Why are you helping me?" ask Aliya.

"Don't get big head first, I'll take note of the money I spent on you, so you can replace it immediately" replied Alex.

"Well... Turns out you're really insincere, I think you're sincere in helping me. Ah where I thought you liked me again" Aliya said spontaneously and covered her face with a sofa cushion in the room.

Alex laughed at this girl's innocence. This man turned his head towards Aliya and glanced at her. The face behind the sofa cushion was able to make her smile again.

Am I in love with this idiot girl, huh?

"God! why are you looking at me like that?" asked Aliya who was peeking out from behind the sofa cushion. He had just caught Alex wet looking at him with a smile.

"Ah no, I'm just laughing at your stupidity" Alex replied lying.
