Ken tried to think of Alvin's advice. He would look for people to look after Alyssa when she was not beside the woman. For sure the person can be trusted and expert in martial arts. But maybe it would be better if he was honest with Alyssa so that Alyssa could be more careful when traveling later. Yes, he had to tell Alyssa about Zean and his enemies.

And now, he had to concentrate on working first. He had already promised Alyssa that she would come home soon after her work was done and luckily her workers were not too many today. So he can go home early.

"Ken!!!" call Alvin

"Yes?"

"In the meantime, meet with Mr. Rian from the Glance Group company" Alvin recalled

"Good brother." Answer Ken. He prepares the proposals and files needed for the meeting later. "Come brother!!" take Ken after everything's ready.

Alvin nodded and walked behind Ken. They headed to the meeting room and waited for Mr. Rian's arrival there.

Ken looks very nervous. This is the first time he has ever had a meeting and he hopes to make no mistakes. She should be able to show everyone especially the company's top brass if she can and deserves to lead her brother's legacy company.

"You nervous?" ask Alvin

"You think?" ask Ken. "This is the first time I've ever had a meeting. It feels more terrible than facing my enemies." exclaimed Ken

Alvin smiled and patted Ken on the shoulder. "No need to be nervous. Let's just say our client is your enemy. But the difference is, you can't fight it with violence and muscle. But put this on," Alvin pointed to his temple. "use the brain against him."

"But in hindsight, you can try it. You have to fight your enemy with your brain. If he gets emotional, you'll have an easier time beating him." continued Alvin

"Not bad. I'll try." Their conversation stopped when Ken's secretary knocked on the door and informed Mr. Rian's arrival.

Both Ken and Alvin stood up to welcome Mr. Rian and shook his hand.

"Good morning Mr. Alvin and sir.....

"Ken. My name is Ken, sir." exclaimed Ken to introduce himself

"Oh Mr. Ken. Nice to meet you. But I think we've only met for the first time."

"Yes Sir. Mr. Ken is the younger brother of the late Mr. Rain. And he is currently leading the company in place of Mr. Rain" Alvin said

Mr. Rian nodded in understanding. "I hope you're as good as your brother." exclaimed Mr. Rian

"Please help, sir." replied Ken

"Please sit down Sir!!" Alvin invited Mr. Rian to sit down and start their meeting. He explains the content of the proposal they made and Ken adds key points in it.

"Very interesting. I agree with the terms as well as the points. But before I sign our cooperation contract, I want to introduce my daughter. He will continue this collaboration. So I hope you don't mind." exclaimed Mr. Rian

"Of course not sir. Are you going to retire?" ask Alvin

"Looks like. But I can't trust my daughter yet. At least until he finds a life companion." Mr. Rian laughed as he looked at Ken who was just smiling. Although he had only met for the first time, he felt that Ken was included in the criteria of his dream daughter-in-law.

"I'm sorry to know, what's your face?" ask Mr. Rian to Ken

"Oh this.. I had a fight a while ago. For that reason I can't tell you." exclaimed Ken

Ken just smiled. Just this time he met a naive old man. Fighting over a good thing? It's ridiculous!! Was he never young? Not all fights are for good reason. Especially in the present day.

Ken let out a long sigh as they had waited long enough. Several times she checked her phone hoping Alyssa would contact her out of boredom. But it seems like the woman is busy right now. Or maybe a break?

"It looks like I hit him too hard." - Ken. He searched the name of his wife's contact and intended to send a message but dropped it when he heard someone enter the meeting room.

"Sorry to keep you waiting."

Ken looked at the door and.....

Ken widened his eyes as his net met the person. His hands clenched tightly and his gaze turned sharp.

"Ken!!" greet that man

"Grace, do you know Ken?" ask Mr. Rian

Grace smiled and sat down next to Lord Rian without taking her gaze away from Ken. "I told Daddy about a guy who saved me from thugs, right? That man is Ken." said Grace

"Gee.. It was Ken. I'm guessing, you're fighting for good." Mr. Rian laughed loudly. He can see if his daughter is interested in Ken. And it seemed like he could utilize the cooperation project this time to bring them closer together.

"You're a great Ken. You're a hero to my daughter. So I won't hesitate to sign this cooperation project." continued Mr. Rian. But Ken didn't respond. Instead he looked at Grace full of hatred. And it did not escape from Alvin who had just heard their talk. He could see that something was wrong between them. And it doesn't seem like a good thing.

"I want us to cancel our cooperation with Mr. Rian's company." exclaimed Ken

"Are you crazy? It's hard for us to get a deal with Mr Rain and you want to cancel it?" yell Alvin

Alvin let out a long sigh and again said, "i know, there must have been something going on between you and Mr. Rian's daughter. I can see the hatred when you look at him. But can you be a professional? You can't mix personal matters with work." continued Alvin

"If it's about your relationship with the one you love, would you just shut up?"

"What do you mean?"

"Entah brother. I felt that woman had bad intentions for Alyssa. He seems to want to ruin my relationship with Alyssa." exclaimed Ken

Alvin speechless. Actually she felt that Grace liked Ken. He could see from the way Grace looked at Ken. But why would Ken have any thoughts if the woman wanted to ruin his relationship with Alyssa? Have they met before?

If Ken is honest, maybe Grace can understand and won't bother him anymore.

"Ken, I don't know what you mean. But I can only say. A relationship can last because they trust each other and are open. And if you're afraid of a third person, neither you nor Alyssa should be able to guard your heart for the one you love. It's free for you to avoid Grace if you can't keep your heart."

"A relationship will get closer, when you can face problems together. So all you have to do is, trust and be open to Alyssa. Take care of your heart for one person, then you will be able to deal with that problem easily." Alvin patted Ken's shoulder gently and walked out of the man's room. Maybe he should give Ken some time to think. Although actually he was also curious why Ken could think like that but he would not let anyone take away Alyssa's happiness.
