Chapter 5

Actually he was reluctant to accept Marco's offer to accompany him to the super market to buy the needs he needed but he was confused how to reject Marco's good intentions.

“You should get back to the office immediately,“ Linda said carefully.

“I am free to set my own schedule, you forgot I am the owner of the company?“ marco said with a smile.

“But ...,“ Linda is really not happy to receive Marco's help.

“Already, let's go.“

Linda just exhaled while reminding Marco.

“Don't complain if you get tired later accompany me!“ he said before Marco regretted his offer.

“Not going. Just relax!“ marco laughed and opened the car door for Linda.

Linda hoped, Marco complained and left her while she was shopping but she felt very disappointed when her expectations were not met.

“I accompany!“ sahut Rafael holding Linda's hand.

Before Linda could explain, Marco appeared and approached her.

“Dia?“ rafael asked doubtfully.

Marco stared coldly at a man who looked very familiar with Linda and as he remembered, based on the photo Linda sent him, this man was not her husband!

“He's Marco, my investors and Marco are introducing Rafael, my best friend. Coincidentally he is also taking care of his business here.“

Linda noticed there was an apparent reluctance on each of their faces when she introduced them. Linda doesn't understand, what's really going on?

“Alright then, I should go in first and have a look,“ said he was confused to break the rigidity of the atmosphere between them.

Apparently Rafael and Marco both followed suit.

Linda was made dizzy because they were constantly by her side and did not let her freely choose. Linda felt uncomfortable because of it, especially when she saw the eyes of the store employees who were clearly watching her secretly.

“Can you guys sit down first while I choose?“ break up Linda in the end.

Linda was relieved to be free from them and started to pick out clothes and then try them on.

Of the eight clothes he chose, he felt that three of them were very suitable to be attached to his body.

He was content to look at his reflection in the mirror.

“Linda, come out so I can see you,“ said Rafael from the front.

Linda felt confused by all the hospitality Rafael to him which she thought was very excessive and not as usual!?

But he came out too and showed off his new clothes.

“How?“ ask him reluctantly.

He knew the clothes he tried were perfect, he said.

“Perfect!“ Rafael.

“Jelek!“ marco said without being asked.

Linda looked alternately at them and felt confused weighing the different opinions of the two.

“What's really ugly?“ ask him about Marco.

“What do you mean?! Linda, don't listen to her, the dress is perfect for you!“ sahut Rafael assured.

Linda sighed.

“Already, already! Let me decide for myself. You guys even confuse me for it,“ he said as he closed the curtain back.

Eventually Linda bought four pieces of sack dress that she could use to travel.

Linda was confused when she was going to pay, the cashier said all the clothes she bought had been paid for by Rafael.

Linda glanced at Rafael while saying thank you.

“We have dinner outside well, tonight?“

Intentions want to agree to Rafael's invitation but once he saw Marco's gaze, Linda felt bad to immediately answer Rafael's request.

“I'll call you, okay?“

Rafael glanced at Marco who was clearly holding back his smile.

“You're going home together?“

“Today, Marco drove me and I've got a house to stay here. You want to stop by?“

Marco stared at Linda.

Linda felt bad and didn't know what to do. Rafael is his best friend! It's so weird if he doesn't invite her to come see his new house?!

Although Rafael knew, Linda felt confused about what to do but she immediately took the opportunity that Linda offered him.

“Sure, I want to see where you live. Take it easy as long as Daniel isn't here yet, I'll take care of you!“ rafael said while hugging Linda.

Linda was moved and hugged Rafael back with a happy feeling of having a friend like Rafael.

“You don't mind ‘kan Marco?“ ask Linda to get support and get rid of her guilt.

“Sure why not? But I don't think Rafael can visit for long because we have to see my father tonight.“

“Tonight?“ linda was confused.

“You will meet his father?“ rafael asked to confirm and was curious why Linda was reunited with her father Marco.

“ Well, he just invited me to meet tonight, so I just decided to take you tonight. She rarely made time for me. And this is a great opportunity to introduce you to her.“

“Linda? Why did you meet her father?!“ rafael asked impatiently.

“There are business matters that I have to submit to him.“

“Raf, this business meeting is nothing more, after all what can happen? I ‘kan married instead of getting married!“

Linda hugged and kissed Rafael's cheeks warmly.

Marco was not happy to see Linda hugging and kissing Rafael without hesitation.

Marco couldn't hold himself back any longer after they got into the car.

“Do you usually hug and kiss your best friend like that?!“

“With Rafael? It's common, he's my best friend!“ linda answered without feeling guilty while smiling happily.

“Does your husband know about your relationship?“ marco asked coldly.

Linda does not know why Marco interrogated her like this but she decided to answer Marco's question.

“My husband, me and Rafael have been friends for a long time, long before we were both married. You could say Rafael is like my own family!“

“How about it yourself?“

“Rafael? Of course he already thinks of me as his own brother!“

“You are sure once.“

“Of course I'm sure. Rafael is a very nice and pleasant man. You know if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here right now!“

“What do you mean?“

Linda smiled knot.

“Already, no need to domed, let alone with you. What time are we going to see your dad?“

“Any hour can be.“

“But it said ..“

“Better we come earlier ‘kan!? Would you rather come late?“

“Of course not!“

“To save time, I'll take a shower at your house.“

Linda's forehead shriveled, “Alright,“ she said in the end.
