Chapter 31

Flashbacks

A few years ago when Agatha was still a wise and just judge, it was also stern.

Agatha sentenced Janu, an SM Chemicals employee to 7 years in prison on charges of wastewater abuse. The sentence is greater than what the prosecutor has filed.

Richard witnessed how Agatha dropped the verdict on her employees.

Mr. Janu then looked at Richard after the verdict was handed down to him.

*Agatha's judgment, which imposes severe penalties on employees of the company, is known as a judge who cannot be bribed.

Agatha breaks into her senior's room and asks why she canceled her verdict for Janu.

"How can he be found not guilty?" Ask Agatha.

"I'm sticking to the principles of the law."Replied a man who was a senior agatha.

"Legal principles? Sir, aren't you ashamed of yourself? Did you get a bribe from SM Group or what?" Ask Agatha again.

"Judge Agatha! There's a limit you can't cross!"Jerk senior agatha and stare intently at agatha.

"Aren't you the one who crossed that line? You should be ashamed of yourself!" Bentak Agatha back.

Agatha who was upset, then left.

But then he heard the words of his senior friend.

"Unfortunately, I look forward to you becoming the first female Supreme Court Justice."

The next morning, Agatha who had just arrived at her office, read the announcement that she was transferred to the district of Jogja. Agatha was shocked and angry.

*Instead of breaking the glass roof, he was transferred to another district. Not only was he angry, but he was disappointed with the court.

Agatha then received a call from Richard who invited her to meet.

Agatha and Richard met in person.

"It's rare to find an ambitious judge like you and you're a woman" Richard said.

"Why do you want to see me? The employee has been found not guilty" asked Agatha.

"Join the SM Group. They say if someone changes, he must be nearing death. But I'm alive and well. Join SM Group and no longer accept discrimination as a woman. Try to work at a higher level. I will support you" Richard said of his purpose.

Agatha agreed to join SM. He began walking into the SM building and respected everyone.

*Senior Leader wishes to make his grandson, Kaylee, SM Group leader. Therefore, he thought, Judge Agatha would be a great help. But the result is the opposite. Life can be so ironic.

Richard appears in the middle of a celebration of his wife's death. Everyone was shocked to see Richard appear.

Zaan's lawyer tells him that Richard wants to announce something.

While staring at Kaylee, Richard announced that he was giving SM Group and all his assets were given to Kaylee.

"If my granddaughter Kaylee Smith gets involved in an accident or dies, all the assets I give her will be donated to charity" she said.

All eyes immediately looked at Kaylee with a surprised look.

Afterwards, Halbert, Elizabeth and Agatha spoke in Halbert's study.

Elizabeth asked if Je Kook knew about it.

"It is" answered Agatha.

"Then why didn't you tell us?!!" Elizabeth asked angrily

"Because I have to confirm it" replied Agatha.

Flashbacks...

Aleda met Agatha in person, reporting about a disposable phone that sent a message to Kaylee.

"The base station is Amlampura, so, I checked the family members. It was Maya's second phone" Aleda said.

"Mrs Maya?"Ask Agatha to make sure.

"Yes. He used it for 5 years" Aleda explained.

Agatha took off her glasses.

"So he played the role of a double agent" muttered Agatha who could still be heard by Aleda.

End flashback...

"I must know exactly the contents of the Senior Chief's will. If we do something to Miss Kaylee, SM Group will be under the control of a civic group" Agatha said.

"So, what will GOLD do?" Ask Halbert

"Nothing"Agatha brief answer.

"Agatha Director!" Grumpy Elizabeth.

"Miss Kaylee has become a major shareholder of SM Group with a legitimate process" Agatha said.

"So, what are we gonna do if Kaylee says she's gonna run the company?"Ask Elizabeth.

"The director will appoint him as CEO because he is a major shareholder. There is no way to stop him if he wants to run the company" Agatha replied.

"Are you kidding me!" Jerky Elizabeth.

Halbert told Elizabeth to shut up.

Agatha calmed them down by saying that Kaylee was not yet officially CEO and asked them to wait a while.

Agatha then left and left.

"Don't you think you trust him too much?"Elizabeth asked looking at Agatha's back which was getting further away.

"Send him. He hates defeat more than I do" Halbert replied.

Kaylee was with her Grandpa in the granddad's pavilion. There's Lawyer Zaan there too, and so is Galvin.

"Kaylee, you've grown up. Grandfather barely recognized you" Richard said with a smile.

Richard held Kaylee's hand.

"You're really Kaylee's grandfather, right?" Ask Richard.

"Yes, Grandpa. It's really me, Kaylee." Kaylee smiled.

"I can die peacefully now. The hard times are over now. Your time is coming" Richard said with his sad face.

"Grandfather has to be by my side for a long time" Kaylee said with a sad face hearing the grandfather's words.

"of course. Of course I will" Richard said.

Maya then came and bowed her body, smiling at Kaylee.

Stay kaylee, virtual mom, Lawyer Zaan and Galvin who are always loyal behind Kaylee. Richard is on a break.

"I don't know" Kaylee said after listening to Maya's story.

"I'm sorry I couldn't tell you before. I have no other choice for your safety" said Maya.

"But you should at least tell me" lawyer Zaan said.

"I'm sorry. I have to be extra careful" replied Maya.

"So you're the one who texted me?" Kaylee asked to make sure again.

"Yes. I have another phone that GOLD doesn't know" replied Maya.

"I thought you were on my stepmother's side. I'm really sorry and thank you for taking care of my grandfather" Kaylee said with a smile.

maya nodded her head"When your mother was killed..."Maya stopped talking because there was Galvin there.

"Before that happened to him, your grandfather was unconscious in the hospital in an accident. That's why he couldn't do anything when you were forced to go to London. Your grandfather always thinks of you. He can't even call you because of GOLD and just get ready for today" continued virtual mom.
