"I'm paralyzed now" said Joana in a soft voice. He wanted to scream loudly, but his tongue felt like a joke.
Dave clasped his wife's hand, his tears unstoppable as he learned of the wife's appalling condition.
"Dear, don't talk like that. You'll be cured after we get therapy."
"Jo, the important thing is congratulations. We can solve this problem later. Don't worry, Dave and we won't leave you" said Andina, who was saddened by her daughter-in-law's condition.
Joana can't do anything now, her legs can't move any more she can't talk out loud.
"Darling, eat yes...!!" Persuade Dave.
Joana shook her head slowly, she was still shocked by her current state.
Dave took a deep breath, in his view the wife's face was always cheerful all this time but, today it looks gloomy.
"If you don't eat, when will you recover? Poor our son!"
Joana's tears are flowing again.
"We promised to raise our children together so that they could carry both of our coffins. Jo, let's eat....!!"
Hearing her husband's words, Joana was eager to pinch her husband's arm but, she had no energy.
"I don't want to die now, I want to see my son grow up." Joana said in a very quiet voice.
"Darling,....!!"
Dave hugged his wife.
Mr. Darius and Mrs Andina can't do much. They can only assume if this is an ordeal in Dave and Joana's household.
"Say you want a honeymoon after our son is six months old. Come on baby, eat a little!" Dave is still trying to seduce.
Inevitably Joana opened her mouth while chewing she continued to cry. Dave's screwed up, this guy really can't bear to see his wife's current state.
Dave handed the bowl of porridge to the mother and then this man came out. Dave was crying, his heart breaking. His wife had been struggling for nine months just to contain her flesh blood but, now had to feel this kind of pain.
"Dave, patience....!" Said Edric who had just arrived.
"I feel all this karma for me" Dave said in a hoarse voice.
"What karma do you mean?"
"You know for yourself that I didn't want a child. So, God punishes me like this."
"Come on Dave, don't think like that. You should be grateful that Joana's alive, did you forget that your late mother-in-law died giving birth to Joana?"
Dave rubbed his face rough, this man went to the bathroom to just wash his face after that back to see his wife.
Dave holds his son, of course this makes Joana sad because he really wants to carry his child but can not.
"Dear, look. He's as handsome as I am" said Dave, trying to comfort his wife.
Joana just nodded.
"He who always kicks in your belly finally comes out too."
"My son, my,....!" Joana said in a soft voice.
"Yes, baby, our son!"
"Dave, papi and mami go home first to pick up clothes. Davina stay, just wake her up if you need anything."
"Yes," answered Dave.
"Jo, mommy's coming home, son!"
Joana just nodded.
"Darling, it's all right you're healthy now." Answer Dave. "Go get some rest, you need some sleep!"
Dave put his son back into the baby box after which this man accompanied his wife until Joana fell asleep.
"Looking at Joana's situation like this, I'm hesitating even more about having another child." Inner Dave. "Enough one, I don't want to lose my wife."
Dave gently rubbed his wife's head. Dave's heart was grieved at Joana's unrelenting suffering.
"Just be happy, baby, why do you have to suffer again?" Inner Dave.
Continuing to take care of his wife, Dave occasionally looked at his son who had been sleeping.
"Sister,...!" Call Davina who just woke up.
Dave just looked.
"If you're sleepy, just sleep. Let me take care of your children" Davina said.
Dave breathed his rough breath and the man lowered his head to rest for a while.
Elsewhere, the current lord Darius was meeting with the lord Altan. For the first time they met each other.
"I just want to let you know that Joana has given birth at this time" said Mr. Darius told his besi.
"really?" Asked mister Altan looking happy.
"Our grandson is a boy" said Mr. Darius. "But,......!!"
The words of Lord Darius hang.
"But what?" Ask Mr. Altan curious.
"Joana is paralyzed. Doctors say that if Joana's paralysis declines from family history." Sir Darius' reply instantly made Mr. Altan surprised.
Mr. Altan felt increasingly guilty for his son, since childhood he never gave enough affection as a father.
"I want to see Joana" said Mr. Altan.
"I'm sorry, don't want to get in the way but, not now. Joana's still in shock, afraid that if she meets you, Joana's condition could decrease."
Mr. Altan could only breathe softly. Traces of the past are back in memory.
Until Mr. Darius leaves, Mr. Altan weeps over the state of the child he has been ignoring. Mr. Altan went to his wife's grave, crying over the green grass.
"Rubber,....!" mr. Altan's favorite call to his wife while pregnant. "I beg you not to take Joana," she asked with sobs. "I haven't been happy with Joana yet. Please let him heal, bring all your illnesses. Don't you leave it to Joana!"
Continuing to weep over his wife's grave with a million regrets is unforgivable.
Dave, it turns out this afternoon he went to the grave of his late mother-in-law to tell her what Joana had experienced. But, as he sees Mr. Altan, Dave undoes his intentions.
"Who told Mr. Altan about Joana's condition?" Dave's inner self wondered because Mr. Darius didn't tell Dave about the meeting last afternoon.
In the end, Dave decided to go back to the hospital. Seeing Mr. Altan's remorse, Dave promises himself to make Joana happy always.
"Where from?" Joana asked in her soft voice.
"Not from anywhere dear," replied Dave who did not want to tell his wife if he went to the tomb earlier.
"When am I healed?" Joana asked with teary eyes.
Dave rubbed his wife's forehead gently.
"Prophey baby, will also be healed. I promise I'll do anything for your recovery" Dave promised.
"I want to carry my child" said Joana but, still she can't because both hands are very weak.
The more heartbroken Dave is, now he can do nothing but calm his wife.
