The sound of tahlil echoed along the journey, accompanying the two bodies. Until finally they arrived at the bamboo River TPU.
There seemed to be six people digging a grave that seemed never finished. Sweat kept pouring down their bodies.
"Sorry Mr. Kyai, the land is very hard, we are overwhelmed by Mr. Kyai" said one of the people.
And the five friends also chimed in while showing their hands that had blistered due to the friction of the hoe handle they used to dig the ground of the grave hole.
"Astagfirullahaladzim," murmured Grandpa Syarifuddin with a very sad heart to see the hole burrow that is only a few centimeters deep.
"How about Mr Kyai? We can't afford to continue anymore" said the man, who began to give up.
The two coffins were placed next to unfinished burrows.
"Where's the water?" pinta Grandpa to a santri in charge of bringing water and flowers to be sprinkled on the grave later.
The flowers they get from the pesantren yard which is overgrown with various flowers with various colors.
"This is Mr. Kyai," said the santri politely while bowing a little. Hand over the bottle with water.
"Bismil was bornrahmanirrahim..," Grandpa Syarifudin's mouth was seen komat-kamit read do'a then blew three times in the direction of the water.
"Push this water on the ground" Grandfather told the graveyard digger.
According to Grandpa Sharifudin's orders, the man poured the water he held onto the ground they were about to dig.
"Now, start digging!" exclaim Grandpa Sharifudin with a voice full of authority.
Hearing orders from Grandpa Sharifudin the gravediggers began to swing their hoes. And, by Allah's permission, the land suddenly became loose and it was very easy to dig it.
"Alhamdulillah," murmured Grandpa Sharifudin grateful to the almighty for granting his do'a.
Saga was amazed by what he saw, all this time he knew his grandfather was a good person and was obedient to worship. However, tonight he witnessed the miracle himself.
Before long, the two burrows were finished and ready to accommodate the lifeless body that had been lying in the coffin beside the hole.
The six gravediggers went up with the help of the santri.
"Now, come in!" grandfather Sharifudin orders Saga and Rian standing next to him.
"Why should we cake?" saga asked half in surprise.
"Because you two are the family of these two," said Grandpa Sharifudin, "is he not your brother's husband? And they've never been divorced,"
Saga was silent for a moment, he began to think what his Grandfather said was indeed true.
Saga let out a long sigh then said, "Alright, I'm ready for the cake."
Then Saga descended into the burrow followed by Sakti, and Ricard also came down.
The three of them were ready to receive the body that would be put in the burrow, while the others were preparing to pierce the body from above.
"Open the coffin, aren't they Muslims? We will bury them according to Islamic law," Grandpa Sharifudin gave the order when he saw his santri about to lift the body with his coffin.
They all obeyed Grandpa's orders by opening the coffin, then they lifted Irwan's body. Then extended it to Saga who was assisted by Rian and Ricard.
Saga tried Irwan's body, before closing the burrow.
Not until an hour, the funeral procession Irwan and Sammy was completed. Grandfather Syarifudin prayed for the two graves after sprinkling with flowers.
Finally they returned to the school.
