Haejun approached the SAR team that was busy removing the wreckage of Sehun's car from inside Han's suangai. The man's face was so flat and unreadable. I don't know what he's thinking right now. What is clear is that he does not look sorry or feel guilty for the incident that happened to Sehun today, instead, he hopes that Sehun dies in this incident because the man is a traitor who has been stabbing him from behind and has loved his wife presumptuously.
“How? Is the process of lifting the car wreck is still long?” asked Haejun bored at one of the SAR team members standing nearby. The yellow-clothed man turned his head lazily to Haejun, but after reading the badges embedded in Haejun's left chest, the man immediately bowed respectfully as he knew that Haejun was not an ordinary civilian.
“We are carrying out the car wreckage removal Mr. Lee, because yesterday night heavy rain poured down on Seoul, the condition of the Han river is currently so full, he said, so we experienced a little obstacle in removing the carcass belonging to the victim.”, obviously the man was polite. Haejun stared straight at the carcass of Sehun's which seemed to be poking slightly to the surface. He then observed the steering wheel that looked dark and was filled with a lot of water. He had doubted if Sehun would survive the accident incident this time. But suddenly he remembered Sehun's background which had been quite cunning all this time. It is possible that Sehun survived the accident this time because anything can happen to the man.
“Then what about the driver who is still trapped in the car, have you found him?”
“At this time the evacuation team was down the Han river to look for Oh Sehun's body around the crash site. But it is likely that Oh Sehun's body is still wedged inside the car because until now the evacuation team has not found anything around the Han.” river
Haejun clenched his hands in his pants pocket because it turned out that they had not been able to give a definite explanation about Sehun's current state. And if Sehun had not died, then he swore he would have killed the man with his own hands.
“Master, our team has successfully removed the carcass from within the Han.” river
Haejun saw a group of SAR teams were shrouding the car wreck of Sehun's car that looked terrible and shapeless. The SUV car was seen shuffled on several sides and Haejun had seen red spots around the body of the car. But Haejun remained unsure if it was Sehun's blood because in fact the car was empty, Sehun's corpse was not there.
“I am the captain of state intel, Lee Haejun, a, I'm going to take over this case to be taken to the state intelligence headquarters because the driver driving this SUV is one of our members who is today on a fugitive chase with me. So you can go back to your base, and I'll call a tow truck to get this car wreck to the base. And for the evacuation team, I hope you continue your search to find the body of this driver, because it looks like the car wreck has been empty.”
Haejun spoke arrogantly in front of the entire SAR team who today helped him to evacuate the car wreck of Sehun's car. But some of them are not happy with Haejun's attitude because he is considered pretentious because he has a high rank in state intelligence.
“Huh, so arrogant that guy. Not because he's a captain, he has the right to command us at will. We are not his subordinates, and we do not need to obey his orders.”
“Ssttt.. lower your voice, he looks at us. We'd better get out of here according to his orders because the state's intel is higher than ours. Especially now that is talking is the captain of the highest intel of the country, if you dare to mess with him then your position will be at stake.”
Haejun observed the two SAR team members who were still staying where they were standing even though he had chased them away blatantly. He also took the initiative to approach them and ask their needs directly. But only a few steps he walked, the two SAR team members immediately walked away from their place while occasionally looking back to steal a glance at him.
“Basic coward! They only dared to talk about me without daring to face me.” Haejun grumbled in annoyance. He then walked to Sehun's car while reaching into his pants pocket to contact someone.
“Halo, you and Lay come here. Bring some other intel members to evacuate the car wreck of Sehun.”
“Captain, what happened to Oh Sehun?”
Yeri's voice that turned frantic across the street made Haejun a little lazy, as he had to explain the chronology of tonight's accident to the woman.
“Oh Sehun was involved in the pursuit of the fugitive, but he was on the side of the enemy. He deliberately blocked my way to catch Park Jaejong's daughter, so I had to shoot the rear tire of his car to get him out of my way. But it seems like today is his death day because he actually hit a container truck and the car he was driving plunged freely into the Han river. Currently the SAR team members are searching for his body.” Obviously Haejun was flat and impressed not caring about Sehun's fate. Because this was exactly what he expected, Oh Sehun's death.
“Aapa... did Oh Sehun really die?” tanya Yeri stammered. Haejun frowned riled up with Yeri's attitude today who asked too many questions. Though usually the girl always obeyed all her orders without asking as much as tonight.
“SAR Team that will confirm whether Oh Sehun is dead or not. Now all I want is for you to come with Lay and some other intel members to evacuate Sehun's car wreck, do you understand?” haejun said a little growling. Yeri muttered softly to Haejun obediently and after that he instantly turned off his phone after Haejun had first ended their slightly dull conversation for him.
-00-
Twenty minutes later Yeri came with Lay and several other intel members with tense faces. Their facial features implied a horror as they looked at the scene of the terrible accident and also the carcass of Sehun's SUV that looked shapeless. Watching children
the fruit has come, Haejun immediately came to them to provide the latest information about Sehun's body that has not been found by the SAR team.
“Bring this car wreck to headquarters, we need it for evidence and eviction of crimes committed by Sehun during this.”
“Captain, is Sehun really dead?” tanya Lay was concerned. Lay, however, had thought of Sehun as his own brother, and only a moment ago did he know that Sehun was actually a traitor who had infiltrated the base through Yeri.
“I don't know, the SAR team is still trying to find his body. But if in the next three days Sehun's body is not found, then the SAR team will declare if Sehun is dead.” explained Haejun flat. Lay and Yeri look so sad to hear the explanation from Haejun because they did not expect that their teammate would die in such a tragic way. And they were also convinced that Sehun would never get a proper funeral because the headquarters would obviously not pay any respect to a traitor.
“We will talk about this problem again tomorrow, now you bring this car wreck to headquarters. I'll look for traces of daughter Park Jaejong further.”
Yeri nodded obediently to Haejun and immediately told his juniors to tow Sehun's shuffled SUV. After Haejun died, Yeri walked to the bridge barrier which he suspected was the crash site of Sehun's car. The bridge fence has now been surrounded by police lines and appears to be heavily guarded
by a uniformed police force. But when he showed his identity card as intel, the police immediately gave him access to get closer to the scene of the crime.
“I didn't expect if Sehun would leave us this soon. I thought he would only be captured by captain Lee and languish inside the dark base prison.” Yeri murmured softly. Lay who was right behind her walked slowly towards Yeri while patting the woman's shoulder to calm down. He was also moment
it also felt such a great sadness due to Sehun's departure. But he only wishes Sehun a better life up there because the man was so nice to him.
“I feel I have lost a brother. I think of him as my own sister. Since when did you learn of his betrayal?”
Yeri turned her head slowly at Lay while looking at her teammate inside. He hesitates to tell Lay this because he thinks Lay will be hurt by the information he will provide.
“Since long. After senior Im died. I saw Oh Sehun shoot Captain Lee to prevent Captain Lee from shooting Park Jaejong. Since then I have always investigated him and I found something astonishing if he was a traitor.”
“Did captain Lee have known about it for a long time?”
Yeri nodded slowly and went back to observe the Han river which was currently filled with people in yellow uniforms who were conducting a sweep along the Han river.
“So I'm the only one who doesn't know his betrayal?” ask Lay irony. Yeri chose to be silent and speechless. At the moment he is too afraid of his words that might hurt Lay further because of the information he does not want to hear. For now let Lay know only one rot that Sehun has been hiding. Next, maybe he will say it slowly.

Two days after the accident that hit Sehun, the SAR team still could not find where the whereabouts of Sehun's body. Then the headquarters decided to close the case that befell Sehun, because in addition to being judged as an embarrassing case for the headquarters, the case was also no longer necessary to be investigated. If the headquarters let the case continue to be investigated, the public will know if the headquarters of state intel has often been infiltrated by the enemy. And the news will make the public increasingly distrust the performance of the intel that turned out to be so bad.
“Daddy is confused by the current state of the headquarters, it seems we need to reshuffle the general council to find out if there is also a traitor among us.” said Mr. Lee looks frustrated when tonight he visited his son's room on the fifth floor.
Haejun, who was studying several files containing information about Krystal Park, turned his head to his father for a while before he sank back into the files of Krystal Park.
“Just do it if it is necessary, I will be very supportive of the father's idea.” Haejun said without interest. Occasionally his forehead wrinkled when reading some information that he thought was awkward.
“Dad will try to talk about this at the council general meeting tomorrow morning. I hope the meeting is not tinged with noise. Son, what are you reading? You look so serious since.”
Suddenly Mr. Lee was curious about the pile of files that Haejun was pursuing. Since then the man had unceasingly frowned while reading the files in front of him, and it inevitably made him feel curious about the files being read by his son.
“These are files related to Park Jaejong's daughter, Krystal Park, who had taken her father away from headquarters two days ago.”
Mr. Lee stood next to Haejun and read every single piece of writing printed on the red map Haejun was holding.
“Princess Park Jaejong has had an accident?”
“Based on the information I got from his former housekeeper, Park Jaejong's daughter had an accident. Then he was declared into a coma due to a severe impact and bleeding in the head when he was seventeen years old. But unfortunately the housekeeper was fired for no apparent reason by Park Jaejong. He was sent home after he heard the news that Park Jaejong's daughter was critically ill.”
“It was quite suspicious.” muttered Mr. Lee while putting both his hands into his pants pocket. The middle-aged man then pulled out one of the chairs that was in front of Haejun's desk.
“Dad knows how the chronology of the accident happened, because the accident happened five years ago.”
Haejun scratched his head and looked at his father with interest.
“Dad handled the case? Why don't I know?” asked Haejun with furrowed brows.
I went there, and at the end of the road I saw the mini cooper car was smoky and hit the road divider and also the tree. Then he immediately contacted the police and the hospital to take care of the accident. But
he also could not leave the passengers alone until the medical team and police officers arrived. Finally, the father approached the car to see the danger of the driver who was wedged between the steering chair and the front body of the car was shuffled. As much as possible, I tried to get the woman out because of her already terrible condition. But she regained consciousness for a few seconds and said her name was Krystal Park. Although at that time the father did not know what the purpose of the woman mentioned her name in front of the father, but when the medical team came, he said, the information provided by the woman made it easier for the medical team to track where her family was. If only I knew at that time if the woman was the daughter of Park Jaejong, maybe I would use the opportunity to arrest Park Jaejong because after all the crime of the man had actually been sniffed for a long time, but some people have managed to cover it because they have an important position in the government.”
Mr. Lee ends his long story by straddling in front of Haejun while looking at his son deeply. Considering Park Jaejong opened his son's old wounds about the death of the son-in-law, but he had no choice but to tell it because their job was to investigate every crime that occurred in Seoul.
“Maybe all this time Park Jaejong is hiding his son who is in a coma because his son can be his weakness if until the identity of his daughter is known by his enemy. Now I know why he was willing to sacrifice himself two years ago to be in prison at this base, because he was going to take his daughter to America for treatment. And now the sleeping princess has returned. He will certainly do various ways to free his father and fight against his father's enemies because he knows that his father has sacrificed many things for his future happiness. I can't believe that a cunning criminal like Park Jaejong still has such a great kindness towards his daughter. He must be a father who loves his daughter more than anything.”
“Every father wants the best for his son, like you and Yuka. You have always done various ways to protect Enzo from the bad guys who are after you, but unfortunately Yuka has to leave you first because she sacrificed for the safety of her family. I sometimes feel sorry for allowing you to marry an agent like Yuka. If you hadn't married Yuka, maybe you'd still be living happily with your little family.”
“Dad..”
Haejun growled stifled with his father's words that were considered untrue. Getting married to Yuka is a joy for her because she married the right woman. The woman who truly loved him was as sincere and the woman who had gifted him a child so handsome and adorable. Whether what happens if at that time the father does not allow him to marry Yuka, maybe until now his life will remain gloomy and filled with endless cases at the headquarters. “I never regretted my marriage to Yuka, for me Yuka was the light that illuminated my life
bleak one. To me having Yuka and Enzo is a gift. Before I was a captain and just a regular intel member, I thought that if I grew old, I would never get married because I realized that my job was a dangerous job. Seeing a father who had to be separated from his mother was far enough to make me decide not to marry, because for me to live far apart like father and mother will only give suffering, because even though you are bound, you are bound, but you can't be together because of the demands of duty. But after I became the captain and got to know Yuka, I felt that my fear was gone. I'm getting brave enough to love Yuka because we're the same. We are both intel and we have the same knowledge about the world of crime. So I decided to get into a relationship with Yuka and teach her various martial arts training so she could protect herself if I wasn't by her side. So I don't need to feel sorry about my marriage to Yuka, because honestly I was so grateful when I married Yuka, she was my hope father, the hope for a better life.”
“Yes, Yuka is also hope for your father and mother. Because with the presence of Yuka, the Lee family now has a successor, Lee Enzo. Looks like dad should go now.”
Haejun let his father go without saying a word. Seeing his father who was hiding tears of sadness behind his old eyes already made him feel if the father was currently filled with an unbearable outpouring of emotions. Let the father enjoy his own time to vent his emotions that are currently gathering in his eyes.
Drtt drtt
Haejun heard his phone vibrate several times on the table. With a calm movement, Haejun picked up the black phone and directly stuck it in the ear.
“Yes, what's wrong? Did you get any new information?”
“I found the target boss, currently Krystal Park is in a club in Jaewon area.” said someone across there who is a special spy Haejun hired. Since two days ago he has decided to investigate the case of Krystal Park himself without the intervention of his men, because he does not want his plans this time messy. Moreover, he has been a little traumatized by the presence of traitors who are currently making the condition of the bush headquarters heat up. Let this time it be only him who is investigating Krystal's case. If he needed help, he would definitely call his men to come help him.
“Alright, I'll be there. Keep up your work to keep an eye on Krystal.”
-00-
Krystal harrumphed into the bar while occasionally holding her throbbing head. Today his grandfather again upset him by blaming him for the death of Sehun and some of his work that somehow today a little messy. He then walked over to the bartender's desk to order a few scotch glasses so that he could forget all his frustration today.
“Drinks for you miss.”
Krystal scrunched her forehead confused at a waiter who suddenly gave her a glass of margarita, but she did not order it at all. Even he hasn't
say anything to order a drink.
“Who gave me this drink? I didn't ask for it.” said Krystal coldly. The waiter bowed respectfully and looked up at a man in black who was surrounded by a few scantily dressed women on his left right.
“That guy gave you a drink.”
Krystal turned her head towards the bartender's gaze and she immediately found a parlente man who was looking at him with a sickly look. The man raised his beret hat slightly while glancing mischievously at Krystal who was looking at him with a sharp gaze.
“Well, this isn't bad for a start, though I'd really like to blow that flirtatious guy's head off.” Krystal murmured to herself while erecting the margarita in one stand. He then ordered five glasses of scotch on the bartender to eliminate the throbbing effect that was completely nauseating for him. If only he could remove his head, he would have done so to remove the throbbing sensation from his head for a moment.
“You don't look okay.”
Krystal turned her head quickly to the right when she heard a voice so familiar to her.
“You, arrogant captain Lee Haejun.” Krystal said with a slightly drunk accent. Haejun smiled skewedly at Krystal and asked the bartender to give her a glass of vodka.
“Huh, I finally found you here. If I wanted to, I could have caught you and brought you to the base because you had made a scene at my base by releasing Park Jaejong and taking the life of one of my men, Oh Sehun.”
Krystal seemed unconcerned with Haejun's ravings and kept her scotch upright many times until the fifth glass.
“Please give me one more glass.” shouted Krystal at the bartender who was wiping the glass in front of him. The bartender happily poured the scotch into the empty Krystal glass in front of him.
“I didn't kill Sehun, you shot his car until he lost control and hit a container truck. You should be the one to die, not Oh Sehun.” Krystal said sharply as she stared fixedly at Haejun's two jet eyes. Haejun returned Krystal's gaze no less sharp and for a moment he was like staring at Yuka's honey bead that he had longed for. The two women are really similar. Not even just a face, their eyes are the same, round eyes that always emit calmness are also owned by the evil woman who is currently staring at him sharply. If it was Yuka, she would have hugged him tightly while channeling all her longing that she had been feeling.
“Oh Sehun is a traitor, and sooner or later Park Jaejong and the others will also catch up to Oh Sehun in hell.”
Plakk
Unexpectedly, Krystal directly slapped Haejun's cheek hard because he did not accept the man's words.
“You dare say that to my father, you will surely die in my hands before you touch my father.” hiss Krystal was angry. Haejun rubbed his right cheek which was hot from Krystal's hard slap. But he only sneered cunningly before the woman while gripping Krystal's jaw firmly in front of her.
“Even you're still here because of my generosity that doesn't take you to headquarters, so don't ever threaten me with the intention to kill me because you don't actually have the slightest power against me.”
Haejun violently pushed Krystal's jaw back and gulped down her vodka violently. Krystal who was getting drunk seemed to rummage indistinctly while rubbing her jaw that felt numb.
“Come with me.”
Haejun pulled Krystal's arm roughly and forced Krystal to stand up. Krystal seemed to be dazed to and fro because half of her consciousness had disappeared. I do not know what has been put into his drink, because he is usually never that bad in the affairs of alcohol. Someone must have trapped him and made him lose control of himself.
“Release! Where are you... taking me?” krystal asked stammeredly with her head spinning and eyes twitching. Haejun kept dragging Krystal away from the bar regardless of Krystal's repeated questions like a broken cassette.
“Release! Don't... force.. me!”
Krystal snapped Haejun's hand violently, though, but after that he immediately fell to the floor because his head continues to swirl and the bar floor is the same spinning like his head that feels so dizzy.
“What happened to me?” krystal murmured while trying to stand up. But as much as he tried, he would still fall in the same place without being able to really stand up straight.
“You must come with me and do not ask much.” said Haejun riled and pulled back the rough Krystal arm to stand up immediately. Krystal has no choice but to follow Haejun's steps, although she is eager to run because she knows that if she is with Haejun, she will not be safe. But half of his brain feels paralyzed now, so he can't do much to prevent Haejun.
“Hey hey hey, can you... a little soft?” krystal protest was uncomfortable with Haejun's extremely violent hand pull. Haejun seemed to notice his hearing and continued to carry Krystal into his car. He then throws Krystal into the passenger seat, before he runs around his car to take Krystal to a place he keeps secret from anyone.
“Silence and don't be noisy. You will soon know where I will take you away.” Haejun said with a sneaky grin through the rearview mirror in front of him.
Brakes
Haejun closed his eyes deeply restraining the emotions that were bubbling up in his heart. Just now Krystal hit her chest and pulled it forcibly so that she turned her body back.
“Don't ever lure me to..”.
“Why....your face often appears inside...my dreams?” racau Krystal with her eyes half closed. Haejun held Krystal's chin in front of him as he stared at the deep round eye bead. Suddenly he remembered Yuka. The face of Krystal who is currently right in front of his face will inevitably make him return to remember the old wounds that he has always tried to hide from anyone.
“This lips, I miss it so much.” murmured Haejun quietly with a hoarse voice while rubbing Krystal's lips as she was inductive. Their eyes locked on each other with Haejun's face drawing closer to Krystal to scoop up the pink lips she had longed for every lonely night.
