Chapter 5: A Glimpse of Hope

...The Boreas Family Dining Room...

On a dark day a family eats together under a dim light, the family consisted of one husband and wife and son and the family was called the Boreas family which was the surname of Eryk.

The sunlight entered my room through the sidelines of the hole.

And when that happened I had woken up from my sleep, I only saw the sun with a desperate face coupled with negative thoughts raging.

"Eryk breakfast is ready" called mom.

After I heard the call, I went to the dining room and breakfast with my mother but strangely I did not see my father, usually my father always had breakfast with us, because I did not see him I asked my mother.

"he said monsters had started wandering around the empire and the village chief had the knights and citizens on patrol" the mother replied.

I started eating the food that was served.

The food is bread with a mixture of vegetables and dried meat in it similar to a burger.

Dad walked to the dinner table and mom welcomed him with food but because he was tired he refused and wanted to go to sleep, but she asked him why he came home late.

And I went to the bathroom to clean up and went to bed.

"you're not interrupting at all" the mother said that while telling the village chief to come in.

"where is lord loid?", asked the village chief to mother.

"after he came home he immediately rested, do I need to wake up" replied the mother.

"no need for him to patrol all night must be exhausted" said the village chief.

From the way mom treated him it seemed like he was very respected.
