I'm Vs Past My Husband
chapter 6 the past

Dewi and Bu Novi were already in the back garden, sitting face to face only separated by a round table in front of her.

Bu Novi grabbed the Goddess' hand on the table.

"Thank you for making Edgar happy." Said Bu Novi smiling sincerely staring at the Goddess.

Degs..

Goddesses silent. She could not answer the gratitude of her future mother-in-law. He also did not know what he did to make the prospective in-laws thank him like this.

"Thank you for bringing our Edgar back to what it used to be." Said Mrs Novi again.

The goddess scrunched her forehead, still not understanding what her future mother-in-law said.

Seeing his future son-in-law look confused, Bu Novi also said.

"Before knowing you, Edgar's attitude was cold. Never smile or be friendly to others. Likes to be angry and alone." Bu Novi sighed before continuing his speech.

"It's our fault, we don't approve of Edgar's relationship with his old lover, Risa."

"If you can tell, why don't you bless them?" Ask the Goddess ventured to ask. Because he also wanted to know what his lover's past was like. It's nothing just that she doesn't want to be the person who knows the least about her future husband.

"Mama had caught Risa making out with other men while she was still dating Edgar." Bu Novi replied smiling bitterly looking at the flower garden beside her.

"Mama kept this a secret from Edgar. Until Edgar gets mad at us." There were no tears flowing on the cheeks that had seen some wrinkles but still look beautiful at the age of her who had five heads.

The goddess gently rubbed the back of her would-be-in-law, calming.

"But after a few days, Risa came to us. He explained who the man was. Which turned out to be his cousin. Risa accidentally tells her cousin to pretend to be her affair so that she can break off the relationship with edgar. Because he has stage two cancer. And Risa also asked us to keep this fact a secret. Letting Edgar until recently thought that Risa was cheating on him." Bu Novi said back sobbing.

The goddess was speechless she was shocked to hear the fact that was covered by her would-be-in-law.

"Mama told you because mama saw Dimata Edgar's love for you. Please keep this a secret yes son" pinta bu novi smiled looking at the Goddess.

The Goddess could not answer, however Edgar was entitled to know about this fact. He was determined to tell Edgar later and accept all his risks.

Bu Novi stared intensely at the Goddess, he seemed to understand what his future daughter-in-law was thinking.

He believed in his future son-in-law.

It's getting late afternoon. Edgar took the Goddess home.

Dewi's car was silent, squeezing his fingers in her lap.he hesitated to say that to Edgar.

"Wi next Wednesday we're fighting our wedding dress huh." Said Edgar who was still focused on staring at the streets in front of him.

"Yes, um." Answer Goddess. In the end he was not ready to talk about that fact to Edgar. He chose silence until he himself was ready to say it.

The car continued on, until Edgar stopped his car at the fruit shop. He rushed down and told the Goddess to wait for him in the car. Edgar bought 1 basket of fruit. Then put her in the back seat.

After arriving in front of the Goddess' house.

"You wanna stop by first?" The Goddess's Bargain on Edgar.

"Yes, I say yes mas" said Dewi.

He just touched the doorknob of the car but Edgar held his hand.

The goddess looked at Edgar,

"Why?"

Edgar brought his face closer to the face of the Goddess, flipping the Goddess' hair that slightly covered her face tucked behind her ears.

Pt ..

"You can go out now." Said Edgar smiling to see the face of the Goddess who was shocked and flushed with embarrassment due to his actions.

"Yes mas" Dewi rushes out of the car with the fruits that Edgar bought for his mother. Stare at Edgar's car that's already starting to drift away.

The goddess entered his house. From behind Bu Dian walked over to her daughter.

"How's wi? Did Edgar's parents treat you well?"

"Very good Mom, this is a deposit from Edgar's mas for mother" Dewi thrust a basket of fruits on her mother.

Bu Dian breathed a sigh of relief listening to the story of his daughter, then he asked the Goddess to take a bath.

The night was getting late, but the Goddess was still unable to close her eyes.

His mind was filled with the words of his prospective in-laws. He was confused to tell Edgar or not.

But he had trusted the future-in-law to keep this a secret.
