chapter 4 the impromptu arrival

"i came here to ask permission to marry my mother's daughter."

Said Edgar loudly staring at the prospective in-laws who seemed surprised.

Deg-

"Se .. so soon, son. Isn't it too fast? How about getting engaged first?" Ask Dian's mom. Trying to negotiate because she is the Goddess's one parent. It doesn't feel ready to let go of his youngest daughter.

"I don't think I need to get engaged first Mom, because my parents can't wait to have a daughter-in-law" said Bayu smiling.

The flashback

"Who is this woman gar?" Ask Candra Permana papa Edgar shows a photo of a beautiful woman who is guarding her shop.

 

Mr. Candra has been hiring people to supervise her child's activities from afar. 

She doesn't want any more help when Edgar tries to kill himself for being left behind by his lover a few years ago.

After the incident, his son always avoids women who try to get close to him. She has often rejected women chosen by her mother. 

Being a quiet, cold and selfish man. But these few months Mr. Candra saw a drastic change in his son's attitude . Back to being the Edgar who used to be always friendly and meek. It was only because of the Thai tea seller girl.

"She's the Goddess, Edgar's friend pa" replied resolutely without being stale.

"It seems like more than friends, your eyes can't lie to your feelings gar."

Said Mr. Candra handing over the photo in front of her son.

It appeared that two human children were chatting very familiarly in front of the tavern . The woman who was always smiling and the man who never gave up his eyes on the girl .

"Papa is happy when you start opening your heart to other women." Mr. Candra stood up to step closer to his son. " Don't get too caught up in the past." Said Mr. Candra patting his son's shoulder. Encourage.

" Do you like her because she looks like Risa ? Happy to share and hardworking ?" Add it again . Make sure his guess isn't wrong this time.

"Goddess is very similar to Risa."

Edgar's inner smiling face flashed across his mind.

"If you're serious about her, bring her here immediately. Your mom must be so happy her son has changed this time. Make this a surprise for your mom after coming home from out of town." Said Mr. Edgar chuckled to see the change in the look on his son's face.

"Well pa." Edgar replied still sitting in his study chair.

Mr. Cakra patted his son's shoulder again before stepping out of Edgar's study.

Flashback.

"Well, if that's your decision. You can only pray that everything goes smoothly" said Bu Dian staring at Edgar and Dewi alternately .

After Edgar came home. Bu Dian approached the Goddess who was washing the used glass of the drink earlier.

"Are you really sure of Edgar's son?" Ask Ms. Dian.

"Yes Ma'am, the Goddess is sure."

"What not getting engaged first, getting to know each other." Said Ms. Dian again . His face still had doubts.

"Keeping each other can be done after marriage ma'am." Said the Goddess gently .. staring at her mother gave a look of confidence.

"Does Edgar's parents take you well?" Ask Ms. Dian to know.

"Sunday mas Edgar want to invite Dewi to meet his parents. Doa'in ya ma'am" said intan holding tightly his mother's hand.

Dian's mother suddenly hugged her son's body. Sighs . Gently rub the child's back.

"May happiness always be on your side wi."
