...CHAPTER 54...

...Let's Get Divorced...

"For this day and so on, I ask you both, don't leave the house without my permission first." Devan said looking seriously at his two wives, in the middle of dinner the three of them.

"Or you better just stay indoors without going anywhere and no one else can work outside the home. Because the business of making a living is my full responsibility!" continue again firmly. "You two understand?!"

Silvia and Cathrine looked up, stopping their eating. Staring at Devan with an indeterminate feeling.

In An-Nisa verse 34 Allah says,

"The man is the leader of the women, because Allah has exalted some of them (men) over others (women), and because they (men) have given up some of their possessions. Therefore, a godly woman is one who obeys God and keeps herself when her husband is not there, because Allah has kept (them)."

In Surah al-Ahzab verse 33 Allah says,

"And let you remain in your houses, and do not decorate and behave like the old Jahilites. Pray, pray and obey Allah and His Apostles. Verily, Allah intends to take away from you the sins of the temple, and to cleanse you cleanly."

Actually Devan also does not want to curb the freedom of his two wives. It was just that he did not want anything bad to happen to the two of them especially to Silvia, his first wife.

Dani told him to always take care of her. Devan is worried that one day Andy and his girlfriend will harm Silvia without his knowledge and it will be safer if Silvia is still at home. Silvia herself did not even know about this, that she was in danger.

Hence, Devan was so angry this afternoon when he found out Silvia was working quietly without asking her permission and talked to her first.

Not only that, Devan has also been a darling and love to die to Silvia. So that his great jealousy makes him a selfish human being. And Devan is aware of that, that he is guilty.

Devan had apologized for his rudeness earlier to Silvia, he did not intend to hurt her at all. But he did it for the good of his own wife.

In addition, Devan is also suspecting Catherine, his second wife could be playing with fire behind him. It's just that he hasn't caught it directly. If there is real evidence that Cathrine is cheating, Devan will not hesitate to divorce her. Devan does not like to be betrayed and also lied to. Even though he had wished Cathrine love with Silvia.

Thinking about Cathrine's endless problems, it increased again when he saw Silvia who was busy talking to other men. The anger that was hidden was becoming more and more. Therefore, Silvia was the victim of the impingement of all her anger this afternoon.

Devan wishes it were just his feelings. Catherine will keep her honor, as Devan's wife. Because before she loved Silvia, Cathrine was the one she loved and adored. But now Devan's love for his two wives is just as great. Devan does not understand why he can love two women at once? He wanted to be a man loyal to one woman only. But in the end he was tempted by other women. And Silvia was the woman who made her heart waver. Fortunately, Silvia was her own legal wife. It is lawful for him to have all of it.

"What's the reason we have to ask your permission first, ma'am?" protest Cathrine, whose face had now turned grim. Cathrine couldn't accept that she'd just stay on the bridle inside the house.

Suddenly he had no appetite. To him, Devan has gone too far. Letting his wives stay in a house this big all day. Wouldn't that make them both bored? Certainly for a woman of the type like Cathrine herself who has never been accustomed to do things that are already fitter women who are supposed to live in the house.

"I can't tell you why. I'm just saying if you want to get out you should ask my permission first. And let the private driver take you on Cath's journey! You guys understand what I mean?!" again, he looked at his two wives in turn. "And for you Silvia, if you want to go. You must go with me." his command now gazes deeply into Silvia's round eyes.

Cathrine frowned furiously, her face growing grim. This is very unfair to him. Devan told him to be escorted by the driver. While on Silvia, Devan will deliver it himself.

Devan is unlikely to tell you why, although Cathrine may already know what the real reason is.

Both parents do not want if everyone knows his son has been married again, and forced Devan had to hide the status of his second wife in order to serve his parents. Everyone knew Silvia was his wife.

Out there all would have wondered if anyone knew about Cathrine's pregnancy so Devan was restricting Cathrine from leaving the house. While every time, the age of Catherine's womb will increase, and automatically her stomach will also be increasingly visible.

"Oh I know why, why don't you let me go out because you don't want anyone to know that I'm actually your wife, right?!" Cathrine threw a rough spoon on her plate, not accepting. Then she moved and looked hard at her husband. "I hate you Mas, but before marriage everyone already knows if we are both lovers. You should have cared more about me. Because I'm pregnant with your child now! I'm the one you're supposed to be important to instead of her!" Cathrine pointed at the rough Silvia who was sitting beside her.

Cathrine growled in annoyance, clenched her hands tightly, then she went out of the backyard. His eyes are flushed. Her heart was really sick at being treated that way by Devan and her parents.

"Cath, Cathrine.... And meyang!!" screaming called. But Catherine did not heed her husband's call.

Devan ran after him after he looked at Silvia, who spoke only a thousand languages.

Silvia stared bitterly at her husband who ran out following Cathrine. Silvia also knew that Devan's parents did not want her husband to divulge her marriage with Cathrine.

"Take me off!" Cathrine rebelled, and roared. Releasing himself from Devan continues to persuade him to understand. "Go, I'm really pissed at you!!" mean it. "I know you don't really seriously love me!!"

"Please understand Cath... I don't want to be like this either!" yells

Devan pulled Cathrine's body and clasped her tightly. Tears rolled down both of her cheeks. "Once again I apologize for making you suffer like this, because I can't stand up to my parents..." Devan cupped Cathrine's two cheeks and looked at her deeply and warmly.

"Since I've always loved you... So don't think that I'm not seriously marrying you." Devan approached his face and put their eyebrows together.

"I'm sorry." - he said, then Devan slowly kissed softly and in the red lips of his second wife. Lips that he had never felt before.

Cathrine sighed and was washed away by the soft cradle of her husband's lips.

Behind the window, Silvia looked at the pair making out with each other. Guilt appeared in his heart. If only he hadn't forced Devan to marry her. Maybe they won't suffer like this.

Silvia was truly sorry. Revenge had covered his soft heart. He should be forgiving and let Cathrine live happily with Devan. Although he also loves Devan but he should not have taken his former best friend's lover first.

...~Flashback on~...

"Bi Tuti, is there a Cathrin?" Silvia looked behind the iron fence, calling Bi Tuti who was busy sweeping the yard of her master's house which was filled with dry leaves.

Silvia smiled broadly and parked her motorcycle in front of her best friend's yard and opened her helmet. His long black hair was always tied to a ponytail. Silvia used to always look cute and relaxed.

The housekeeper quickly opened the fence and invited Silvia to enter the house. At that moment there was clearly a look of sadness on Bi Tuti's face.

"What's Bi? Cathrine why else?" asked Silvia who had memorized if Aunt Tuti cried then there must be nothing with Cathrine.

"Non Cathrine is in her room. Let's just go in. Non.." he said

Silvia nodded and rushed to Cathrine's room. "Non Cathrine's... This is Non-Silvia." exclaimed Bi Tuti behind the door of Cathrine's room while knocking on her door.

Cathrine did not answer him, but there was the sound of a round of keys and soon the door of her room was open.

Silvia looked at her friend's muddled face, her eyes swollen from crying all night.

"Why don't you go to Cath's college?" silvia asked because it had been three days since Cathrine had not entered. Silvia was worried about him.

Cathrine returned to her room with slow steps, without answering Silvia's question. He lay on his back to cover his face with a pillow against Silvia who was still standing beside his bed.

Bi Tuti did not want to disturb the two friends. He left immediately after closing the door to his master's child's room tightly.

"Cath..." Silvia gently rubbed Cathrine's trembling shoulders withstanding the pain and sadness in her heart.

"Why am I born when I will finally be ignored Sil... Wh why? Why don't I just die with my mama." she sighed loudly and deeply.

"You don't say that Cath, I still love you here." - Silvia quietly.

"Papa's got to me, he can just have fun with his new wife. He doesn't even remember there was me needing more affection and also my ability to go to college..."

"Cath..." Silvia hugged Cathrine behind her body, peeping her forehead fondly.

"I understand how you feel. I told you you don't have to think about it. My father will help you.. You don't have to think about your college tuition anymore. My father would understand..."

"But I don't want to continue to be helped by you, I'm ashamed of your father Sil.." he said.

"You think anyone is the same as me?! We've known each other for three years you should already know my nature and my father dong.." said Silvia his eyes along with tears sad. Cathrine cried sobbing that she sat down and hugged Silvia tightly.

"Silvia thank you very much because you are always there for me." he said softly.

...~Flashback of~...

If you remember that again. It feels like his heart is back. He shouldn't have taken away Cathrine's happiness now either. Although Cathrine had once captured her happiness.

Silvia wiped her tears that had already fallen. Then he turned around from there.

At first glance Devan saw the shadow figure of Silvia behind the window. Soon he removed his lips from Cathrine.

"Let's go inside. It's very cold outside. I don't want you to get sick." Devan told Cathrine to come inside the house. Cathrine agreed.

Crying and emotions made Cathrine physically weak, Devan accompanied Cathrine to sleep.

After being sure Cathrine was asleep. Devan got out of bed and went out of the room slowly and went into his room with Silvia.

Devan thought Silvia was asleep but she was still playing her phone on the couch.

"Why not sleep yet? it's late at night." asked Devan frowning in wonder.

Silvia looked up, staring flatly at her husband's face that looked haggard with much thought. "I'm not sleepy yet, are you going to sleep first?" he answered and returned to playing his phone nonchalantly.

"Sleep Silvia... Don't make me angry again."

"I can't sleep if I'm not sleepy. If I bother you. Why don't you just sleep in Cathrine's room?" resounding.

"He was exhausted, pregnancy made him physically weak. I was afraid that my snoring would even disturb him to sleep." the reason, which Devan did want to sleep with Silvia.

Devan sat down beside Silvia and looked down uneasily, re-mashing both his hands in front of his knees.

Silvia turned off her phone and held it on top of pa ha, then she took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly. Looking up at the bar in front of him.

"Mas Devan's. Let's get a divorce." she said coldly. Sontak Devan looked surprised to hear Silvia's words to him.

Seriate...
