The Painful Reality

A black Jeep stopped suddenly after hitting something, a black-eyed driver glanced back at his rear-view mirror, making sure what he hit was the right target.

"Hem, as per the target. Goody! At least this can make me feel better" said the Jeep driver.

A young, cunning-faced woman with her cynical smile drove her car forward violently. He does not care about the circumstances around who pay attention to his actions.

"REVA!" shout Nico.

He crossed the street not caring about the few cars speeding towards him, several times he was honked or shouted at by some people due to his reckless actions.

"Reva, I'm sorry Papa, son. Wake up sayangg.." said Mr. Dewantoro crying while hugging the body of his eldest daughter.

Nico was shocked to see Reva's condition, his body was full of blood. His head hit hard, crashing fiercely on that road.

He did not care about the others, he immediately pulled Reva's body from Mr. Dewantoro's embrace and put it in his car. Luckily he set out with his people, so he wasn't too confused and panicked.

"Take him to the hospital, now!" nico's orders.

He hugged Reva's scarred body, he didn't care about her body getting stained with Reva's blood. Along the way he cursed himself who left Reva back then.

"I'm sorry, I beg Revaa .." she said softly, trying to hold back her tears.

The car drove fast to the hospital, Mr. Dewantoro's car followed behind him followed by some of his people.

While Rendy was surprised by the news delivered by her father's men, she immediately ran towards her car to the hospital indicated earlier.

Andriana, who doesn't know what's going on, runs after her into the car. He did not dare to ask because he saw Rendy's panicked expression.

"Be careful, Sir. Don't speed, danger." he reminded Rendy who was carrying his car so fast.

Arriving at the hospital, his eyes were looking for his brother who was there. It was fortunate that Andriana came along, so a little bit of her could help.

"Sir, Miss Reva has been taken to the ICU. Let's go over there." Andriana said calmly.

They headed for the ICU room in a bit of a hurry, there was already his father and Nico. There were also some people who helped them earlier.

"Sir Nico, what happened?!" said Rendy immediately approached Nico.

He didn't care if his father was there, even though his father was his superior, he had little respect for him. He felt that he was being used only by his father.

Although it was also her desire to save her father and company from the hands of Elena and her children, but the pain her father created made her and her sisters hate her.

"Calm down, Rendy. The doctors are treating Reva, we just wait here." he said slowly, trying hard.

"Nico, can talk to me" said Mr. Dewantoro coldly.

He invited Nico to speak far enough away from the people there, they were talking down the hallway of the hospital.

"Nico, tell me. What's your plan exactly? I see since I know you, my children are getting away from me" said Mr. Dewantoro speaking in a cold tone while looking at him sharply.

"Don't they, before they knew me, all of them had also moved away from you? If they hate you it's not because of me, but because of you" Nico replied coldly.

He left the old man, but his arm was pulled by Mr. Dewantoro. He did not accept being treated like that, he felt that everyone underestimated him.

"Where are you going?! I'm not done!" snapped by Dewantoro.

"What else, sir? Isn't everything clear, everyone knows what happened to your family. The destruction of your family is your own work, do not try to escape and overflow your mistakes to others" said Nico coldly.

Hearing that, the grip of Mr. Dewantoro's hand is getting tighter on the collar of Nico's shirt. At that moment Rendy came to see them, and saw it.

"Stop dad! What the hell are you doing? Want to kill?!" rendy shouted furiously.

Seeing the sudden arrival of Rendy made the two shocked, Mr. Dewantoro immediately released his grip.

"What's going on?! You two haven't explained anything about Reva's accident, but you've gone and fought here!

Is there something you're hiding from me? What is all this, explain everything!" scream Rendy.

"I know about it, I'll try to accept it... The problem is, why every time he finished meeting you he always experienced strange things, whether with Dad, or Brother Nico.

What's the matter? I want to know everything, please tell me honestly" said Rendy, she was tired of all this.

"Rendy, your brother left our meeting... Because he rejected this man's proposal, but this man was a little pushy and instead left him.

You know your brother was already affected by it, he was chasing after that guy! Finally the accident happened" Mr. Dewantoro explained.

Of course he falsified his testimony, he wanted his children to stay away from Nico and get closer to him. She tried to approach her children again, but in the wrong way.

"Is that all true, brother?!" asked Rendy with reddened eyes towards Nico.

Hearing the statement from Mr. Dewantoro making Nico excited, he did not think the old man could betray him. Even he blatantly blamed everything on himself.

"Ah, it's true that I proposed to her" her speech was cut off by Rendy.

"And he rejected you?!" ask Rendy quickly.

"Yes, but I don't" his words were cut back.

"And you just left him?!" asked Rendy furiously.

"Rubber, but I-" and again his speech was cut by Rendy.

"That means it's all true! You can do all this to Reva, don't you know Reva loves you too, and she's just not ready for a bond!" scream Rendy.

"I know! I know it's all, so I didn't force it.." said Nico, not knowing how to explain it all.

"You didn't force him in front of Reva, but you always urged me to get you married immediately" said Mr. Dewantoro spurring Rendy's emotions back on.

"What, force?!" ask Rendy not to believe it.

"Yes, you know I have a lot of debt with him. He wanted Dad to marry Reva to him, otherwise his debt would have grown bigger.

You know Dad's debt is pretty big with him, and has big interest too. How could Dad pay for it all, instead of being a future father-in-law he had to ease the burden of that debt?" mr. Dewantoro said he was taking advantage of the situation, to seek his own advantage.

Hearing that all made Rendy stunned so she could not speak anymore, she only shed tears of disappointment. How could the only person he believed could betray him as well.

"Rendy, listen to me. That's not all true! Indeed I asked her to marry Reva to me, I did just that so that Reva would be released from your father's grasp!" nico tried to explain everything.

"You heard, he indirectly wanted to separate Father from Reva, and someday it happened to you too" Mr. Dewantoro again provoked Rendy.

"Shut up, shut up you two! I don't know who to trust and what to do with you. Clearly, I must know there is no genuine affection in this world!" he shouted while leaving.

"Ren, Rendy! Wait!" shouted Mr. Dewantoro prevent the departure of Rendy.

"Wait!" nico snapped to Mr. Dewantoro.

"You have thrust the drums of war upon me, you who started this enmity. Do not blame if something happens later" said Nico staring intently at Mr. Dewantoro.

"I don't care, I'm used to dealing with people like you. And from now on my children are my business, you don't have to interfere in this" said Mr. Dewantoro.

"Please do as you please, we'll see if they'll come back with you or not" Nico said after he passed away.

He goes back to the ICU room, he sees Rendy with her secretary and some of her people.

"What are you doing here? Your presence is not needed here!" said Mr. Dewantoro while passing him with a sly smile.

Nico just looked at him coldly, with a flat face without expression he left the place.

"I'm sorry, Reva. I'm leaving here doesn't mean I left you. I'll be waiting for you from somewhere else, somewhere close to you" Nico said slowly.

A million feelings of sadness, fear, hate, disappointment, anger and others. Seeing the evil thoughts of Mr. Dewantoro makes Nico increasingly want to protect Reva.
